Wow, pretty flower and great tutorial! I tried to make sugar diamonds, bought everything, and failed miserably... The recipe I used contained water so it never hardened and kept flooding so the imprint dissapeard. 2 questions! Where do you buy isomalt? Also, If i just put the silpat on top of a hot-plate on low heat, will it serve the same purpose and work the same way as using a flower lamp??
Can you store sugar art works made with normal sugar in airtight containers as well? and how would u give the nice golden color on to a isomalt sugar? and this can be eaten, right? LOL

isomalt is a sugar substitute that is resistant to crystallization and is an ingredient in sugar-free candy.
