Funny how they test it and
Call out the supplier still not even mention their name

Exactly. If he doesn't call out the manufacturer of the product, other people are going to buy it not knowing it is a hazzard

@@joecorrie1there are mechanical locks and it is the frame it self you should worry about. If the hydraulics fail, the only thing that happen should be that you can't lift. Which mean it can be locked in up-position as well.

Any one can cause a lift failure if you overload it that much. Just a couple of Goob engineers with no practical experience.

I have never seen any 15,000 pound or even 10,000 pound car hoist ; these people who made this video are having us on , 10,000 pound to kilo is about 4500 kg it 4 and a half ton ! And 15,000 pound is 6800 kg ; even testing joists at this capacity is a joke

This video is a bit disingenuous with regards to Chinese lifts. When you say "not all lifts are created equal", why would you claim that? If this lift is rated to 7000lb by the manufacturer, but the importer is claiming they are rated 10000lb, what the hell do you expect to happen when you load it up with 10000lb and 15000lb. Looking at the hoist in the video, it looks like a generic Chinese 4000lb model, not a 7000lb. Your video is really a waste of time. Of course if you overload a lift it will fail. Why not put 20000lb on one of your 10000lb lifts and see what happens. Blame the distributor, not the manufacturer. If you wanted a video to show the quality of a Chinese lift, why not show the documents that claim the capacity of the lift and then apply the maximum load and video that.

They overload it by 50% with a upgraded pump/motor. SMH. Let see them do that with some of their own lifts and show us. Deceptive advertising. No, the seller shouldn't be selling at the higher rating, but you proved it can handle the load that they are selling it at.

    • @justinhall5375
      @justinhall5375 3 ปีที่แล้ว +7

Watch it again and do try to comprehend.
He states it is sold as a 10k rated lift. There is nothing saying its rated for 7k, simply that it looks like a 7k unit.
He also states that industry standards require that all rated lifts be able to handle 1.5x its rated capacity for safety reasons. In this case that 15k pounds, and it FAILD.
Why are you so desperate to defend Chinese importers that lie and put peoples lives at risk for money?

Do some research before opening your mouth!! This lift is rated to 10k!! Yet it can’t pass a ALI test. ALI certification means the lift must lift and hold 1.5x its rating with no permanent deflection in the beams or arms. All weld must not show any cracking!!
Lifts like rotary/bendpak/tuxedo and other that get a ALI certification all go through the same testing!!

    • @brianawd

Every lift is made in China!! Bendpak/ rotory/ tuxedo and so on. But those companies have far better quality control as there are ALI inspection during the building process along with after

@@brianawd lol, triggered easily. Nothing like a keyboard tough guy hiding in his Mama's basement.
They showed nothing to back up their claims as to the rating of the lift or pump for that matter. So yes, when they try to hide facts it's deceptive. We have no FACTS to base anything. That lift may be the biggest piece of crap ever made and a couple shots of the tag and ratings would have been simple, yet somehow they neglected to do it??? You are willing to take their word with blind faith, just don't expect me to.
Not all lifts sold have ALI certification. Pretty expensive process that not all manufacturers are willing to do thanks to bargain hunters buying anything that is cheap.
Try educating yourself. This one doesn't take a genius to figure out it's a crap review.
