Since the beginning of this channel in 2013, I already presented about 10 Projects, based on the Honda CX.
But on this episode, I bring an amazing Cafe Racer project, based on a Honda CX version about which I never talked about.
The CX 500 Euro, also known by CX 500 Eurosport.
The last CX version, that Honda produced during the 80's.
The beautiful Honda CX presented on this video, is the work of Asen Zahariev, and the Team of Tossa R, located in Bulgaria.

A well thought out project with a very beautiful color scheme and design. The seat and tank are nice and “fit” the CX very well. This is a great video presentation of yet another CX. I would love a modern CX750 adventure bike or street fighter. Or a retro sport bike.
Since finding your channel, I have seen many amazing machines presented here. The CX series bikes never really captured my attention until you began showcasing them. Yours is an excellent example! This build is absolutely beautiful. The modifications are elegant, not overstated, and fit perfecy. I much preffer the angular style tank over the more rounded shapes. The exhaust note is symphonic and pleasing. What an all around amazing machine...

I keep waiting for someone to do a cafe racer custom out of either the CX500 or 650 Turbo but I guess it would be a bit of a shame to chop one up if it was in good shape given their low production numbers. They were lovely bikes in the day.

Amazing, I'm building a CX500 and am just getting together the parts and have bought an R-1 front end. Looks like I made a good choice.
The difficult by its difficulty is an unprecedented pleasure to achieve it. In truth Honda did well to discontinue that latest model of motorcycle is certainly boring and visually ugly. But the engine is something else: a beast locked in a complicated cage. It took someone's talent to do something like that. Seeing the possibility is something we can all do, but achieving it requires talent and passion. The tank simply achieves a visual success that forces the gaze to be directed towards it. When one finds out that it is only due to cutting the lower part of it, myself does not cease to be surprised. The mechanism created to hold the monoshock gives it a powerful appearance, not to mention the rear wheel covers that create a balance between the modern monoshock and the retro of the aforementioned covers. A perfect balance. I really envy the lucky customer from England who is going to get something exceptional. As always dear friend um abraço forte e carinhoso desde México lindo y querido.

Can cx500 eurosport tank fit on normal cx500?we don't have that model here in canada but i really want this tank on my cx500.
I think with some minor changes on the fixing points, it is possible. Curiously, most people prefer the opposite. (The normal deluxe fuel tank on a Eurosport frame.) But try to investigate on google. There are some Forums talking about that matter. :) Cheers.
I offer a humble argument. I am fairly new to the cafe racer building world, just finishing my second. I was left to believe that one of the core concepts of a cafe racer was to loose visual obstructions and create more open spaces in the bike. I understand that some amount of give is needed in bike definitions but this strikes me much more as a street fighter.
I understand your perspective. To be honest, i think the definition of what and how a cafe racer should look like, can have several different interpretations. It is something that is always evolving. Thank you my friend for sharing your perspective. :) Cheers.

A great example showing that customizing has always some level of engineering, in this case, a tough one :). I just love the general balance, but specially the fuel tank "cubic" lines. Stands great! The line between Café Racer and "Racing Bobber" becomes thinner every year... :) and that makes me happy :).

Masterful build, anyone know what the headlights came from?
Channels like this, screw up what is left cheap on the market. TH-cam messed up all the hobbies making everything astronomical expensive. A good example is Ford Bronco in USA. It used to be $4K and no one want it. Not anymore!
But not to drive in Germany because like so its not became ,,TÜV,,(Association for Technical Inspection) :(

This bike in my honest opinion is one of the best looking custom CX's I have ever seen, here in Australia these bikes can still be purchased in standard form for a reasonable price, customized versions are a rare sight here as the bikes have a cult following with many owners keeping them original.

But honestly - I think an aircooled chain driven bike is a much more appropriate basis for a cafe racer, rather than a heavy watercooled shaft driven tourer.

For instance, I am now working on a Yamaha XS 650 cafe racer project, because I want a bike to enjoy a smoth and joyful ride.
But for a fast and nervous ride, a Honda Cx 650 with some changes on the carburetor jets, is perfect for a local road. :)

Lovely well thought out bike. I love the look of the slightly modified original tank. I initially thought it was a custom built one off tank. It definitely looks better with the rear cowl fitted but I'm not a fan of the rear wheel. Personally I think a nice set of wire wheels would be the icing on the cake of an otherwise fantastic bike. Great video too Vitor. It makes me wish my car restoration project was finished so I could clear some space in my garage for a CX project.

the same frame GL500 Cafe Racer by wrench kings is way better imho
Once again, another beautiful bike. Nice upgraded suspension & breaks no doubt, it's odd that hardly anyone bothers to give the engines in these an upgrade even though they were never a sporty bike. I'm not sure about the wheels, imhho they should be one or the other, the seat hanger is a well thought out idea & just lifting the tank changes the whole look, it's the simple things that make all the difference while being the hardest things to pull off. Now all that needs to be done is convert it to "Right hand drive".

How much does a bike like this cost to buy?
In Britain, we never called the CX500 the Euro Spot we called it the "plastic pig." Thousands of dispatch riders couldn't be wrong though. They wanted performance and reliability with fuel efficiency. I have always thought the CX 500 engine a very beautiful design. Its push rods gave it wonderful proportions.
It's all a matter of taste but I would have just gone for spoked wheels as there is just something about them that I love. The rest of the bike especially the change to the tank are brilliant.
