Nice for you, but still a bit sad... It's THE build that inspired me to get a cx500! Thanks for that and thank you for the inspiration and awesome work!
I'm in full agreement with your front end fork rant. This is a classic. Howevere the rear end seems a little spare... maybe repositioning the tops of the shocks just a little bit forward? Hope the new owner is happy! I had several cx500's in the 90's, they were popular hacks for courier riders in London and festooned the Ace Cafe and other hangouts with their rattey presence. Finally I got my hands on a custom with a 16" rear which stuck like glue compared to the standard rear wheel. This bike was dispagueingly known as the plastic maggot, hardly complimentary, I nevertheless had a strong appreciation of their basic V twin beauty, so it's cool to see their resurgent popularity 😂
Very nice bike, your information you give me,, inspired the hell out for me went out bought a CX 500 but a c model gonna use a lot of your ideas, but have the sides pounded in on the tank
sweet bike, congrats on being the owner of that beauty. Question, what is the weight of your bike? Mine is around 850lbs and I have no idea where this weight is coming from. Are the CX usually this heavy?
What a beautiful bike. Looks stunning, top job sir!!! But why do you sound so miserable when you’re talking about it? I’d be excitedly ranting and raving if I’d built a bike like that !!! 😊
Hello bud. Can you let me know what kind of gas tank is that? I want to get that tank for my cx but I don’t know what’s the name or model? Please help me with the name or model number? Thanks and hope to hear from you.
Question, looking at one similar this week. Can you fit two with the seat? Know it'll be tight but for quick trip to dinner or around town would be nice to throw my lady on with me
Can I ask where you got the fork caps from? I'm looking to upgrade mine in the Uk but can't seem to find any anywhere. I believe the thread is 27mm diameter. Any links or help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
Sorry, I looked through some of my receipts and can't seem to locate it. I purchased several sets on Partzilla for different vintage motorcycles and the ones that ended up working were for a Suzuki but I can't remember the year or model. One thing I didn't think about until later that you might want to consider: I had like 3 different sets of plugs that were all really close but a slightly different thread pitch. I probably could have just asked Frank's Forks to re-thread the tubes to match one of those sets after they cut them down. It would have saved me a lot of hunting around for the plugs that ended up working.
I'd LOVE to know where you got em! I want some cleaner looking footpegs too for me and my passenger, but foldable, because I'm used to riding my cbr600rr and even scraping those pegs😅😂. It's a much safer option for me
If I remember correctly I swapped to the Deluxe footpeg mounts from the Customs (which sit further forward). Google "ncy ruckus footpegs", I'm pretty sure that is what I used. Looking at my notes I wrote something about some slight fabrication we did on the passenger peg mounts to keep the new pegs from rotating since we were no longer running the stock exhaust. Maybe that will make more sense to you. Its been a few years.
@@tari0048 yeah I think it's cheaper for you to buy stock motorcycles but it's more expensive when making custom one, at least if you hire someone to do it for you If you were going to do it yourself, I think it would be more affordable for you, but that also depends on the kind of a bike, how much parts are available near you and what are costs for importing parts Nonetheless, it's much easier in the USA or Germany than Poland or Denmark
Was going well right up to the 'looks out of place". If what it looks like dictated your front end choice, then the whole thing is compromised BS. Tyre choice, no mudguard, pod filters, front indicator led rings, it's all just a set of poser fashion accessory decisions, that put the heart of the thing second. The motor braided front lines and front pots are keepable, the rest is "my little pony" f'ed.
@knightvisionvideo7379 And judging by this superficial load of styling exercise I bet all the guests at your parties "appear" to be having a good time.
Bike is sold! I'm confident it went to a good home :)
Nice for you, but still a bit sad...

How much did you sell it?
What a cool build. I have a CX500 but no where near enough mechanical knowledge to make something this cool out of it.
I had one of these bikes back in the 90's. was a great bike. this is probably the coolest cafe conversion of a cx500 I have seen!! Great job.
Nice! I rebuilt my '82 cx at 100,000 km (about 64k miles) and it was solid as a rock. These engines are bulletproof. Good build!
One of the best cafe racers I have ever seen...... Great job!! Tim Hope, UK.
That means a lot, thanks!
Just WOW, that bike looks PERFECT.
Landed an 1980 CX 500 today 39k. Mileage for 250$,you have inspired me
Ultra clean build, dude. Excellent job!

Very nice bike, your information you give me,, inspired the hell out for me went out bought a CX 500 but a c model gonna use a lot of your ideas, but have the sides pounded in on the tank
Do the the front sides of tank also MotoGuzzi style.
That's a beautiful bike. Question: are there any concerns about the exhaust blowing right onto your rear wheel?
It’s extremely hard to melt or hurt tire rubber
Gonna build a 82 cx500 i had a gl1100 cafe Racer
sweet bike, congrats on being the owner of that beauty. Question, what is the weight of your bike? Mine is around 850lbs and I have no idea where this weight is coming from. Are the CX usually this heavy?
Probably a 400lb rider
Simply magic!
Beautiful bike!
Old bike with new led lamps. It looks nice though. And nice front blinker lights too.
Better a normal exhaust, my taste.
Gorgeous
With the tires did you have to run tubes, even with the comstars?
What a beautiful bike. Looks stunning, top job sir!!!
But why do you sound so miserable when you’re talking about it?
I’d be excitedly ranting and raving if I’d built a bike like that !!! 😊
lol, sorry if I'm not more enthusiastic. I actually miss it dearly.
Nice work! GLWS!
Wow... Are you really selling it? How much??
Where did you get these buttons? (Turn signals) Nice work!!!
I can't remember who makes that, sorry
I think they are from Motogadget, they do different configurations and chrome and black options on them
I believe they are Motone Triple Micro Switch Button Housing

its just the deluxe model tank
Do the GSX-R fork fit on this

What kind of seat pan is it?
And where did u get it? Thanks
Very nice...
Nice build I got the same model tell me something here are y get your foot pegs
Too good to sell!!
hello, which tires did you use?
Is it a comfortable seat?
bayıldım!
Nice looking E30
thanks!
Did you end up replacing the R/R for the Ali battery?
yep, it is a mosfet R/R. you definitely want to do that if switching to a lithium battery.
Credit card build? Did u do any of the work yourself?
guess you didn't watch my other video? thanks for the comment :)

Hello, I need help building a scrambler out of a 1980 Honda cx500c l?
So what’s the price?
Hey mate.
What are the foot pegs? Did you use the original adapter?
Cheers

Top speed?
How much?
send me an e-mail @ vegashelipilot@yahoo.com
Does this have modern safety features such as ABS? What is the weight and how much?
There's no ABS
How much would a build like that cost?
I would guess around 1500-2000$ without a bike itself
@@antonigorecki9173 really not bad. I wish I could get same kind of prices in Denmark
