  • Trevor Bauer’s accuser, Lindsey Hill, responded Tuesday to the pitcher’s X video in which he revealed texts and one video meant to prove his innocence in response to her sexual assault allegations.
The two settled their dual lawsuits recently without money being exchanged after she accused the 2020 NL Cy Young Award winner of assault.

I have a friend that teaches 3rd grade. He was accused of assaulting and graping one of his students and the school district (my wife was serving on the school board so none of this was ever made public) was notified by the sheriff that once the DA returned from vacation that he was going to be arrested. The teacher was placed on immediate paid leave for good reasons but no arrest was ever made. Finally nearly 7 months later it was finally revealed that shortly after my friend was first placed on leave evidence was found suggesting but not providing the actual criminal was the little girls uncle. However, despite the victim recanting her original statement and a mountain of other evidence he was still considered a suspect. Therefore, because details of an active investigation are not normally shared the district was just told active investigation and the leave was continued. The stress alone during that situation nearly ruined my friends life. Thankfully no details were ever made public so he was able to return the next year. But even more important, his wife believed him and his family made it through this whole.
We often forget how awful it is for the falsely accused. My friends story is a reminder that no arrests have to be made and no one has to be fired for false accusations to potentially ruin someone's life. For my friend what saved his marriage is that the accusations were far beyond believable based on his character. To be clear the little girl was desperate for help but because of legitimate fear could not accuse her uncle and neither myself nor my friend blame her for what he had to endure.
I completely agree with Nate, when the facts and evidence can prove in the court of law that the accusations were made with malice then the punishment for false accusations should be the same as the punishment for the crimes they accused the actual victim of. In this case she should get the appropriate amount of jail time and be registered as a sex offender.

The movement was not created to help anyone. It was created to divide yet another group of people. When the core belief is “believe everything” any woman says, the core of our legal system goes out the window. If you all haven’t noticed, the legal system has become political, it is no longer unbiased. The court of public opinion is the new courtroom, and whoever markets their client better to the mindless zombies, has a better opportunity to win. Thankfully there are still cases like this where the liars are exposed.

In this case, she should get the appropriate amount of jail time and be registered as a sex offender.

@@lilbitsleepy2574 I would not recommend it, defamation is for going against respondents with deep pockets, such as media. Plus it costs quite a lot of money and can take so much time, with no guarantee of getting any money from the ex wife, it is best just dropped. Plus if he bankrupts the ex wife, he will probably be on the hook to pay even more money to her over time. In the meantime, no chance of getting the daughters back as she would most likely resort to alienating the daughters from the father and even if the court recognises that is what she has done, they say the damage is done, their hands are tied and maintain custody of the kids with the mother. I would have to say the only consequences the ex-wife may suffer is the blow back and total alienation from their daughters once they reach the age of majority and find out what she stole from them. All lives totally damaged by that time and the cycle repeats.
