      I think Nate is wrong about why the police don't charge her. It's not because they would be embarrassed, it's because the legal system has collectively decided there would be less "crimes" to attend and less legal proceedings. It's a supply and demand thing, and they want maximum demand for their services, even if they are BS crimes. Cops and lawyers and judges all make out like bandits as long as there are lots of "crimes". They also love criminalizing everything.

      The reason why they are never charged is, essentially, emotional blackmail.

      It's different in different countries. I'm a woman and a former detective in South Africa. Due to the high rate of femicide in our country , (it was 34%, I'm not sure what it is now) our law states that a man must be arrested and charged and the only person that can decide on the charge is the prosecutor. I've had to investigate cases like this and I had to go and arrest the man and charge him. I felt horrible and hated that I had to investigate an innocent man. Anyone charged with domestic violence here, has to appear before a judge for bail so if the woman lays a charge on a Friday after the courts close, then that man has to stay in the cells until Monday morning. In all the cases, the charges were dropped, but the men still lived with that stigma. The prosecutor's were also not willing to prosecute the women for perjury.

The police only do the preliminary work, they are not responsible for the entire process. Eventually, the police hand case off to the district attorney for prosecution. • @CanadianEhHole
      @CanadianEhHole 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The issue is a societal one. We view women as these innocent, delicate flowers but they're just as capable of bad acts as men -- men do it physically whereas women usually do it through character assassination. This is why women love to gossip. Why celeb rumors still make companies money. Why paparazzi still exist. Why women flaunt divorce winnings. Find a guy going through a divorce that says or thinks "I'm going to take every penny she has."
      “My suspicion is that the so-called innocence of women and children has more to do with the weakness of their limbs than the purity of their hearts” - St. Augustine
      Spend any time with kids and you'll see how bad they can be when on their worst behaviors. If there's no punishment for any of it, it gets worse. While they may hit their siblings or other kids, they will very rarely hit an adult and it's most likely because of what St. Augustine points out.

Sucks I got reassigned while she was still in the unit and the rumor mill started. The female went to a new unit and tried the same thing. His life was turned upside down and she was separated from the military with no punishment. What BS.

      Take for example during Teddy Roosevelt's era. If a man was found to hit his wife, he was strung along the town center by a horse and whipped. If the woman hit her husband, he was strapped on horseback and pelted with rotten vegetables.

      America too. Trust me. I was falsely accused in 2003 and spent 7 years in prison when my ex falsely accused me of abuse. Had camera phones with video been around then I would have not been charged maybe but even though I was the only one I injured..I was arrested because my ex was beautiful and cried that I even graped her...later after prison on parole I passed a polygraph supporting I was actually the victim. So then they came to my home..handcuffed me..choked me in a van in front of my roommate telling me to stop saying I was innocent. sounds crazy but it's 100% true and I was so scared after that to live in America because of my now tarnished record I left the country. I have a friend in Australia that went through a similar case and now he is not allowed to leave Australia so I guess Australia is still an island prison. Sorry that Australia has devolved into a tyrannical country right along in America's footsteps😢

    This is called me too. I knew a few girls who would falsely accuse guys for rape and assault. And they don't get in trouble and usually the guys go-to jail

    I thought “believe all (pretty) women” was debunked by a the Johnny Depp trial. Sad
