Yes please william, Lets see it. I'd love to see the three watches you would keep over everything and why. Time for a top three. You know it makes sense. All the best
Tank you for the wonderful video! I grown to like the Ed Whites a great deal, after I got more and more into the Vintage Speedy game. I am not yet able to get my first Ed White, but I would love to see more in depth videos about the Ed Whites!
Do you think two manufacturers made the 105.003-63/64/65 (A6) dials? As 003 dials can have short and long minute indexes (where the marker falls just short of the step). Do your dials and movement numbers indicate a period or did it span all the 003s. Moonwatch v2 doesn't mention the difference. Looking forward to more videos and I hope you continue after Lockdown.
The last Tritium watches were around 1994. Some of them have very attractive patinated dials. My knowledge covers up to 1978 so after that I am not very well versed, certainly I do not feel confident enough to cover them.
55 years ago, due to the open cockpit design of the Gemini capsule, 4 Omega Speedmaster 105.003-64 chronographs were exposed to the vacuum of outer space by astronauts Edward White and James McDivitt during the Gemini IV mission in June 1965... #MoonwatchUniverse
Omega confirmed that both watches on the wrist of astronaut Ed White during the Gemini IV mission are Speedmaster 105.003-63 references. One of them was Ed White’s training watch, and, according to NASA’s former engineer James H. Ragan, “It was one of the first Speedmasters to be delivered after the tests performed by NASA”.
Another very nice and informative piece. Looking forward to the video with the more ‘special’ Ed White.
Thanks for the video William, very informative. Yes please, let’s have a look at the ‘more special’ Ed White.
Will do! I am just trying to find the time!
