Hi Lydia! Lovely vlog 🌸 As a fellow sproutling mother, a loving tip: those pots are a tad bit too big for them.. As the water sinks to the bottom, their roots aren’t long enough to reach the moist yet. Rule of thumb is that the new pot should be about 20% bigger in width and height than the previous one ♥️

Lydia, my husband just made our own bed with our own design! All reclaimed wood and specific measurements to fit us and our space. Hidden shelves and cat bed underneath!!! Looks gorgeous with my linen bedding.
If you put some pebbles in the bottom of the plant pots when re potting , it helps the drainage when watering xx

I love terra cotta pots. I always get the saucer to go with it. Size wise. In this way you don't need your kitchen plates to catch the water. Do your replanting on the grass, no cleanup that way.

Good about the saucers. Don't be afraid to get bigger pots. Once those herb get rooted they will need bigger pots. Some are perennials so, so they can winter outside, and enjoy them for years to come. Just not the Basil. that's considered tender. I'm enjoying watching you and Ali get into gardening. It's a lifetime learning curve. Don't forget to plant some catnip for Lumi.
Try some fish fertilizer for your roses, they love it.

I just planted 5 lavender plants in my yard they are so pretty when they start to bloom. Very pretty lavender color
wow such large plastic containers for such small amounts of food
Take care using bare hands on compost, make sure you wash them well after xo Also! Try using potting mix soil rather than compost. It will be better draining and compost is more of a fertiliser to boost vege/flower gardens. Might be a bit rich for little sproutlings!!

Your plants are sweet. Try putting the pot in a bowl of water. The plants soak the water from the bottom up. Also, make sure they have holes in the bottom of your pot. Needs to drain. Always love your videos.

Lydia, your "potties" analogy for your plants is something I'm going to steal during the Spring when I start a lot of my planting indoors ;D
Also, with the Picture This app, it is never 100% reliable. If you have seedlings or starter plants like your lavender (which it is English lavender because mine look exactly the same) it has a higher chance of getting it wrong without the flowers. At least that has been my experience after using it for 2 years.

The common name for Lavandula Augustifolia is English Lavender, so unfortunately the app is not really giving the plant its specific name. I am going to give the app a go on the free trial though and use it to identify some of my plants in my garden, see what it comes back with 👍
Your new lavender plants are definitely English Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia
), it looks like they are just a different variety 'Platinum Blonde' to the established plant you already have. Without the established plant having flowered it's hard to tell which variety it is. When it has flowered try the RHS or Crocus to identify it.

When things happened in the past , important things my Nan would say a change is coming, It feels like that now, letting people speak , be heard and things must change . I said many times how I get so anxious.. I don't go out because of it BUT I have never been scared to go out because of the colour of my skin!!! . In the past I have spoken out in defence of a wrong doing and sometimes it's not turned out well as my friends can tell you, but going forward every time we witness a wrong doing of any kind we must stand up for each other every time until we all understand.....
Every single life has the same value.
