This ending was perfect. Brothers never got separated even at their death. They both ended up together. Better than TVD ending. None of their enemy succeeded in defeating them.
The hollow succeded in killing them. She died in the process, but Klaus killed himself because the hollow would have made him go mad and kill everyone in sight.
I agree...this proves that Elijah was a noble man ...and a man of his words...unlike Damon who chose his happiness over his brother...Stefan had sacrificed everything for Damon just like Elijah did for Kluas....but Elijah was lucky...that kluas kept his promise "always and forever "...

And, I think the ending of TVD was perfect. While after death Elena and Damon could’ve stayed together, but he left her with her own Family, while he went to his Brother. The very last words on the show were “Hello Brother” Klaus was ruthless, willing to kill his unborn Child as well as Hailey- Damon nor Stefen would’ve ever did that.
The fact they didn’t burn like kol or Michael. They simply died from disappearing into ashes as if they’re going to be reborn in the afterlife it’s poetic and sadly beautiful 😭👍🏻
This in my opinion is hands down the best finale ive ever seen, i actually teared over this ending. If you watched this entire show from start to end and actually invested in the character growth of them all and DIDN'T tear up, i dont think you are human.
Elijah only had one purpose in his life. All he wanted was to bring klaus down to right path and redeem him. Finally from being a terrifying killing machine klaus for once was willing to sacrifice himself for someone else. Elijah completed his task so he was ready to die besides he does owe hayley a dance
After killing Hayley I guess he had no other reason to live, so might as well die with them. Kinda stupid though. Shame they ruined Elijah’s character like that.
What gets me about this scene is how every little one of Elijah's actions is completely selfless. Offering comfort instead of requesting it, giving Klaus closure on his life instead of seeking his own, standing up first and leading the way, and finally giving Klaus the blunter end of the stake to use on him so he takes the more painful death.
This series, these characters, their stories, these actors, the dialogues, the music every single thing broke my heart watching it all end. Even after years of it ending, I still cry watching this.
The way 2 brothers who've looked out for each other for over a 1,000 years, look back at each other in their final moments as they give each other peace, Is too sad for me to bear 😢❤️💜🩵💚🧡😞

It’s just crazy how klaus let the one person he loved most take his life wilingly that just shows that know one can defeat klaus he is the strongest character in the series and it is astonishing to see his development throughout the season’s love you klaus and Elijah.
I had a feeling this was going to happen. It makes sense. No matter how much Klaus and Elijah tried to find peace, they always found themselves at odds with one enemy or several. Hopefully now they will find that peace in the afterlife!
When I first saw this scene I was completely shattered. To this day I can’t hack it. Goes to show good they were at acting. Captivating the audience and getting them emotionally attached. Best series, best story. Heart wrenching ending.
Same as Stefan the actors wanted the characters to die. Joeseph Morgan even said (it felt like he was joking about this death for Klaus but guess not) where Klaus is killed by Elijah then said that it could also be where they stab each other.
For someone who had watched The vampire diaries & The originals since the year it'd aired - 2009, seeing their death had such an impact on me after 8 years of knowing the Mikaelsons, that even now when I ran into this video.. it still shook me up so bad I felt hollow for a sec.. just wished they'd have a better ending....
This is a epic finale for this series and guess that was right both main Originals did died, cool moment and scene. Dragon King Oscurare one thing that has never made sense to me is that since Klaus is indeed a hybrid, and hybrids can only die by the removal of the heart for by decapitation, then how would a white oak stake work on him. A stake doesn't kill a hybrid.
GUMP1987 yes he's a hybrid but it doesn't change the fact that he's also an original and white oak stakes were designed to kill originals if he were only a vampire regular stakes would decapitate him like elijah and the others but since he's a hybrid it doesn't decapitate him with a regular wood stake
Also we have seen in season 2 when mikael staked him with the white oak stake klaus turned grey like when vampire die but he didn't die because kol and davina was disabling the the stake for a moment
I enjoyed the ending, but I’m not happy with the fact we didn’t get to see Elijah and Hayley dancing or Cami and Klaus reuniting. Can’t wait for Legacies now.
Kol is the last main original alive since marcel and Rebekah took the cure in the future since they are engaged. Klaus and Elijah dead. All the vampires moved out of New Orleans. Hope didn’t see her full potential vampire side with wolf and witch abilities.
I think it could have been really cool if Kol became human too and then he could have been a witch again. Other then Davina, it was the only thing that ever truly made him happy.

It couldn't have ended better. When Elijah's voice breaks or you see his eyes getting welled up, that's when you know shit's about to go down and you break with him. Made me cry like a child. Elijah and Niklaus, the honour was ours.

The final seasons of TVD and the Originals were pretty Similar. 1. Brother out of his Mind (Elijah / Damon) 2. Other Brother tries to save him (Stefan tried to break the psychic connection, Klaus 5x03 tried to bring him home) 3. Focus switches to other brother as he goes a bit crazy as well. (Stefan when turning off his humanity, Klaus not doing with without Elijah) 4. Main Character death rocks everybody and makes initial brother “irredeemable” ( Damon killing Tyler) (Elijah not saving Hayley) 5. That death bring everyone together. 6. Wedding and nothing goes wrong. Another big main character dies ( Josh and Enzo) 7. Renouned Evil brother Tries to kill himself to save everyone, good brother tries to stop him. The only difference is they had to make delena endgame so both brother die compared to one, it’s like Plec learned from her mistakes in Tvd didn’t change her plan really but used it as a test run
I've read a lot of people says that Elijah's death in this scene was the stupidest thing but it isn't. He sacrificed himself to die besides his brother. Yes, Elijah didn't have the hollow in him but he was willing to stand by his brother's side no matter what. Tbh, I think Elijah was right to die because then it would also make it dumb that he's alive when he was the one who let Hayley die, regardless of his memories or not. Hayley's death was also very heartbreaking. But the main thing is in this scene was Elijah was always going to honor his brother and stand by his side no matter what. That's the bond of the Mikaelson Family Always and Forever 🖤

Listen I'm a man...I'm 6'4...235lbs big beard work construction ETC....and this was one of my top 5 favorite shows and when Elijah said it has been a glorious ride and my greatest Honor I started crying my wife laughed at me lol this means something to you if you have a person like this in your life which would be my best friend since we where 5 years old were basically brothers and I know he would do the same for me ...and imagine Klaus and Elijah have been together over. 1000 years Elijah said his one job in life was to protect and make Klaus Into a better person and he succeeded in that and realized there is no reason for him to go on plus he did not want Klaus to die alone...that's a true brother...this show was written very well and there could not have been any other actors to plays these characters Elijah was perfect and so was Klaus Rebekah Marcel Haley ETC 👏👏👏
While it's beautiful that they died together and always and forever came full circle, I can't help but feel that they killed Klaus off so Legacies could happen and can't help but feel a little annoyed about it. This show didnt have enough seasons! The writers for Supernatural should have been writing for The Originals. The story line was awesome. The actors were awesome. Most od the plots were good. What a waste thatvit ended too soon.
It couldn't have ended better. When Elijah's voice breaks or you see his eyes getting welled up, that's when you know shit's about to go down and you break with him. Made me cry like a child. Elijah and Niklaus, the honour was ours.
Klaus and Elijah, being at each other’s sides for centuries, dying together, they truly redefined always and forever.
Best ending a show could ever have in my opinion ❤

I was a mess from S5 E8 til this very last scene. This show definitely is my #1 favorite series now Dec 29, 2022. I wish I had watched it together with everyone and grieved on the same year, but I'm sure you all have found peace by now. RIP Niklaus & Elijah Mikaelson. ❤️❤️❤️

The final seasons of TVD and the Originals were pretty Similar.
1. Brother out of his Mind (Elijah / Damon)
2. Other Brother tries to save him (Stefan tried to break the psychic connection, Klaus 5x03 tried to bring him home)
3. Focus switches to other brother as he goes a bit crazy as well. (Stefan when turning off his humanity, Klaus not doing with without Elijah)
4. Main Character death rocks everybody and makes initial brother “irredeemable” ( Damon killing Tyler) (Elijah not saving Hayley)
5. That death bring everyone together.
6. Wedding and nothing goes wrong.
Another big main character dies ( Josh and Enzo)
7. Renouned Evil brother Tries to kill himself to save everyone, good brother tries to stop him.
The only difference is they had to make delena endgame so both brother die compared to one, it’s like Plec learned from her mistakes in Tvd didn’t change her plan really but used it as a test run
The episode was sad and underwhelming but it was beautiful and had a wonderful message of love and familiy. Thank you originals
I've read a lot of people says that Elijah's death in this scene was the stupidest thing but it isn't. He sacrificed himself to die besides his brother. Yes, Elijah didn't have the hollow in him but he was willing to stand by his brother's side no matter what. Tbh, I think Elijah was right to die because then it would also make it dumb that he's alive when he was the one who let Hayley die, regardless of his memories or not. Hayley's death was also very heartbreaking. But the main thing is in this scene was Elijah was always going to honor his brother and stand by his side no matter what. That's the bond of the Mikaelson Family

Listen I'm a man...I'm 6'4...235lbs big beard work construction ETC....and this was one of my top 5 favorite shows and when Elijah said it has been a glorious ride and my greatest Honor I started crying my wife laughed at me lol this means something to you if you have a person like this in your life which would be my best friend since we where 5 years old were basically brothers and I know he would do the same for me ...and imagine Klaus and Elijah have been together over. 1000 years Elijah said his one job in life was to protect and make Klaus Into a better person and he succeeded in that and realized there is no reason for him to go on plus he did not want Klaus to die alone...that's a true brother...this show was written very well and there could not have been any other actors to plays these characters Elijah was perfect and so was Klaus Rebekah Marcel Haley ETC 👏👏👏
While it's beautiful that they died together and always and forever came full circle, I can't help but feel that they killed Klaus off so Legacies could happen and can't help but feel a little annoyed about it. Hope just lost her mother and now she loses her dad and not to mention Caroline seems to have the worse luck with guys, first it was Stefan and now Klaus? but goddamn it, who would have thought Klaus would be the person that he became, watching him as the villain in Vampire diaries to watching him through out The Originals and watching him develop, that's some damn character development right there. This show and Vampire Diaries has fucked me up so much! I just can't deal. Anyway I'm thinking of that quote that Klaus said to Caroline saying that Tyler was her first love and he intends to be her last, at the end it was the other way around, Caroline was his last love while alive and thinking all of this has even fucked me up even more! AHHHHH

Saw the finale last night. I was up couldn't sleep. Yeah the ending disappointed lots of fans but you know sometimes their ain't no happily ever after. Klaus and Elijah were the first Vampires.. lived over a thousand years seeing and doing many many things. It all came down to that. They got tired of immortality
A few things were inconsistent, but it was overall enjoyable and emotional
a moment when both brothers trusted eachother with everything
I wish we saw them in the afterlife, where both cami and Hayley waited for them and hugged them, I need this scene in my life
