What on earth are you talking about. Mine is still super fast. Fortunately I stayed on the latest version of ios 10 the 10.3.3. I was smart enough to know that ios 11 will ruin everything and still does. I will keep it on ios 10.3.3 till I get a newer ipad. If I could get a used 10.5 ipad pro in excellent condition for the same price as 2018 ipad. I would take it in a heartbeat!

jaybie cupcake Lol. Have you ever had a look at an iPad Air 2? The laminated display of the iPad Air 2 STOMPS on the non-laminated ones in terms of readability in sunlight/daylight. Believe me, you don’t want the non-laminated one back. In addition to that, the Air 2 is also lighter and thinner then both of its successors but has the same battery capacity. Apple kind of made the 9.7“ iPad worse. The speedbump isn‘t very noticeable btw if you don‘t play lots of demanding games on the device. Thanks for the video. Now I know for sure that I‘m not missing out anything great if I keep my Air 2 a little longer...
I have an iPad Air 2 - 128 GB - WiFi only for sale. I take EXCELLENT care of my electronics and my Air 2 is in MINT condition! There is not a single scratch or dent on the screen or the metal. I still have the receipt and the box and charging brick. I have several autoimmune disorders, am 50 years old, and had to move back in with my parents who do not have WiFi. That said, I have Sprint as my phone carrier and have unlimited gigs on my iPhone Xs Max but only 17 gigs on anything that is not my phone. I LOVE my iPad Air 2, but since I can’t use it, I’m offering it up to someone who can use it.
Air2 still very good device - if you do not need a Pencil, you can stick with the Air2 if you have. I don't care if app will launch 0.2 sec faster etc.
jaybie cupcake no not at all. It has an a8x and not a8. Big difference there, it’s has basically the performance of the a9. a8x has 2gb ram, 3 cores and better graphics. a8 has 1gb (ip6), 2 cores and standard graphics.
I also have the Air 2 and have no reason to change. It's just sad though, that IF Apple sticks to its 5 year iOS update cycle, this year's iOS 12 will be the last update for this device. However, the iPad Air 2 is in my opinion still powerful enough to get at least one more extra iOS version (iOS 13).

Just switched to the ipad air 2019, after my air 2 has slowed down quite a bit, but it is still very usable, honestly such a reliable and powerful device despite it age.
I have an iPad Air 2 with the SIM card. I did an iOS 12 update and love it more then ever! Since my home button stop working and they adapted the iPhone X+ navigation, I can just swipe up instead and feels so premium with the flush screen and thinnest. It works amazing in 2019, wouldn’t bother upgrading.
The only thing that would have made this comparison perfect would be adding the 9.7 iPad Pro since it has the same form factor as the Air 2 and the A9X chip
I use an iPad Air 2 since 3 years everyday and it‘s still fast and fine.... and don‘t forgett: without a fucking airgap in the Display. I Love the Air 2 and would recommend it anytime!
Well since I have the iPad 2018 I would have to go with the 2018 iPad because of its gaming support and how quick it plays shows and movies and also unless you have a room in your house that has a light right over where your sitting your not gonna really notice the reflection and unless you look really hard the air gap isn’t super visible to you

Maybe they sold u q refurbished one that was once on display and then they just through put it aside to use the newer ones and never got rid of it and just gave it to u for a low price?
Where looks, being screen quality and clarity, they all look the same. The average user is not going to give a crap about the reflectivity of the screen. I have three Pro models two, 2017 models, and use all of them regularly and I don’t pay any attention to the reflection. Also where speed is concerned, it is clear that the speed difference between the three are so minimal it is inconsequential. This would be true too if he had a iPad Pro in the list. Again for the average user, the biggest difference between any one of these three and a Pro is the speakers. Both the 2017 and 2018 have speakers at the bottom only, I believe the Air2 is the same, and the Pro models all have speakers top and bottom. Over all I’d say this was a fair review. Thanks for that. I see very few fair reviews any more.
I’ve gone from air 2, to 10.5 pro to 2018 iPad and I’m very impressed with this latest one especially for it’s price. I do notice the inferior display, but it’s still great no complaints at all, and I notice the slower fingerprint sensor. Kinda annoying just because I was spoiled. But I don’t do enough with it to notice the difference in ram. All are great buys still.
Great video Aaron. You should do a comparison between the 9.7 pro and the iPad 2018 because I don’t think there is much of a difference between the A9X and the A10. Keep in mind that the 9.7 pro has better features than the new one and if you go to the Apple website you can still get a refurbished pro for about the same price than the 2018 and still get warranty on the pro.
They now have an iPad Air 3 on Apples Website. It as an A12 chip and it’s screen is better than the standard iPad and also supports Apple Pencil. If I upgrade from my iPad Air 2 that I’ve had a long time now it will be the Air 3 because I don’t like the gap between the screens and also I don’t want to pay the premium for the pro.

5:05 the color looks much better on the 2018 iPad compared to the 2017, thought they both had the exact same screen, just updated processor on the 2018.
The only thing i do not like about my air 2 is the fact that i need a third party pencil as the apple pencil is not usable on it. Beside that, it works just fine!
I’m still on the original iPad Air. Still works well for all of my purposes, though I’m wondering if it’s worth upgrading to one of the other ones for the extra ram. Some websites struggle to load, though I’ve heard that emptying the cache should help it.

Big question. Was that a new unopened air 2? Opened and updated? Or used and just used for them comparison? This matters because if it isn’t new/nearly new then you invalidated a bunch of the comparisons because the file system and storage is fragmented heavily. I compared csr racing on my air2 vs yours and mine is far faster as I barely use my iPad for anything. :/. A few of the other apps are affected by the same issue.
4:20 that’s not the kind of game I would play on a tablet. That’s more of a couch gaming or pocket handheld game, imo. I paid $250 at a pawn shop for my 64gb 4g iPad Air 2 and a Moshi Versa case after tax. It’s in pristine condition, no scratches anywhere.
I dropped my air pad 2 and I have 3 large shadows in my display. I assume it will cost more that it would to replace so looking for my best replacement option.

When I was younger I had 2 air 2s, I broke one, then another now I regret breaking them, it was such a great device, I do have the 2017 iPad, but I have to say the air 2 was a better experience. I also got both if these iPads brand new, and the air 2 was better in my opinion, but sadly they dint turn on, if you have any ideas on how to turn on any iPad that won’t, could you please let me know, thanks!

There's nothing sad about that. My daughter isn't allowed to upgrade her iPad Air 2 to iOS 11 because it's perfect as is.

The A8 line of chips doesn't support AR. But the iPad Air 2 body and display are so good to stick to the device.

The only thing i do not like about my air 2 is the fact that i need a third party pencil as the apple pencil is not usable on it. Beside that, it works just fine!

I’m still on the original iPad Air. Still works well for all of my purposes, though I’m wondering if it’s worth upgrading to one of the other ones for the extra ram. Some websites struggle to load, though I’ve heard that emptying the cache should help it.

I read a lot using iBooks,after iOS 11.3 update on my Air 2,it started to read the book title on every page,which it didn’t do before,also while using the ALEX voice the entire screen blinks when reads a comma. Can it be fixed.

Big question. Was that a new unopened air 2? Opened and updated? Or used and just used for them comparison? This matters because if it isn’t new/nearly new then you invalidated a bunch of the comparisons because the file system and storage is fragmented heavily. I compared csr racing on my air2 vs yours and mine is far faster as I barely use my iPad for anything. :/. A few of the other apps are affected by the same issue.

@@lutherholayeahme7449 Thanks, I went for the Ipad pro 1st Gen 9.7. Wasn't much in the price but it performs exceptionally well considering it's from 2016.
When I was younger I had 2 air 2s, I broke one, then another now I regret breaking them, it was such a great device, I do have the 2017 iPad, but I have to say the air 2 was a better experience. I also got both if these iPads brand new, and the air 2 was better in my opinion, but sadly they dint turn on, if you have any ideas on how to turn on any iPad that won’t, could you please let me know, thanks!
