I have the Air 2 and use Procreate etc for digital art. I am going to continue to save for the iPad Pro. In the long run I think it is still worth getting. I just use a Pogo stylus on the Air. Not great.., but its getting my by for now....
air 2 display is a million times better, and its built better on a newer chassis, this is the older apple iPad 3 chassis, i believe. but if you need to draw, thjis or the pro are your only options other than android samsung who were first at drawing and has led, pen included, or the new chrome tablets with sd card and the pencil included at the same price but not as many tablet apps. competition is good.
Tigerex966 it's the original iPad Air Chasse and the air 2 is ancient. It will probably get one more iOS update and then be dead. Apple doesn't even sell it anymore other than refurbished. The screen is laminated but dimmer and processor is 1/3 the power.
A couple of years ago I thought this only happened on budget (sub 100 dollar), no-name Android tablets... until I got an iPad Mini 2. That was a nice device in a couple of area's (batterylife, sound), but that screen was very bad; air gap (just like this) and bad colors. Something I absolutely did not expect from a 300++ dollar Apple tablet. Apparently, with this tablet as well, the only "premium" thing about it is the price again, too bad.
should you save and get the 128 gig if you plane on gaming and maybe getting into other things videos 32 doesn't feel like a lot i got the 32 its setting in the bag i am thinking that i should maybe save up for the pro or the 128 gig not sure good video and can you include games like fortnite i really want to play this on duty at night when there isn't much going on
Very good review. I bought one and I’m happy. It’s a good value with the A10 cpu. My only complaint is the speaker placement. It is annoying to have the sound come from one side when watching Netflix. It’s not a deal breaker though.

No force touch I got the 32GB WiFi version for $249 today with trading in my carrier locked Sprint iPhone 6. Amazing deal with trade ins
I don't think it's odd that iPads continue to have headphone jacks. It does have stereo speakers. The Pro models have quad speakers. Most tablets don't come with earbuds.
MobileTechReview I think it’s odd because Apple went away with 3.5mm on all phones 2 years ago, even with old design phones with the home button. This iPad copies the same design. It’s a welcomed change. Oh yes, your are right. It has stereo speakers but both on the bottom. The experience is dull compared to my iPhone 8 Plus for example, where sound is reproduced from ear speaker and bottom speaker. Earbuds are very cheap they could really include them 😁 Thanks for responding.
LifeISMagix Apple removed the headphone jack of the iPhones to make room for a larger Taptic Engine, as its around the same area the headphone jack was. The iPad has plenty of room to support the headphone jack.
