Believing zodiac is "shirk", you can't believe stars determine fate, Allah SWT the only God, determines all luck and bad luck. All celestial bodies are just unliving objects, rotating and doesn't care about you. God created the laws of universe. Why whole universe spin just to make you sleep at night? the dense earth knows no sleepy human, sleepy human does not make the earth turn the sun into night. all because God created human. Praise be to Allah the lord of this world. Allah SWT is not willing with any shirk. Shirk is cautious. Many kind and small. If you die in a state of shirk, you will be in hell forever. 'Shirk' not a sin, shirk is a way of associating partners (not figuring God almighty) the only God, to be worshiped, hoped for, fate, worship, prayer, and reasons for deeds (rewards - sins). Then the claim of creator of the world, as the nature of the most almighty, and the nature of the most praiseworthy. Then those reasons make a kind of shirk. Like drawing animate creatures (rivalling God in creating living creation), may we be safe from all polytheism/shirk, then repent from sins (some sins are bleached in hell first) but after giving creed, converting to Islam, it is important to worship God, fulfill the (iman)believing pillars, and islam pillars. May our life not be missed, may our life fulfill it all. We hopefull we dont end up in the hereafter with not enough. Trying to find, study, do good deeds for a safe afterlife. May we always ask Him for guidance, take refuge in Him from going astray, and ask Him for forgiveness from all our mistakes.
Hadith: [Prophet Muhammad said: "Whoever bears witness that there is no god but Allah, alone with no partner, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger, that 'Isa is the slave and Messenger of Allah, and His word which He communicated to Maryam, and a spirit from Him; and that Paradise is true and Hell is true, Allah will certainly admit him into Paradise, regardless of the deeds which he has done." Sahih/Authentic. - [Al-Bukhari and Muslim]

The Ruling of Drawing Pictures or Cartoons
      The original ruling for this problem can be found in a hadith of the Prophet PBUH: مَنْ صَوَّرَ صُورَةً فَإِنَّ اللهَ مُعَذِّبُهُ حَتَّى يَنْفُخَ فِيهَا الرُّوحَ وَلَيْسَ بِنَافِحَ فِيهَا أَبَدًا
"Whoever makes pictures, will be punished by Allah till he puts life in it, and he will never be able to put life in it." Sahih al-Bukhari (2225) In another narration, it states: كُلُّ مُصَوِّرِ فِى النَّا
      يَجْعَلُ لَهُ بِكُلِّ صُورَةٍ صَوَّرَهَا نَفْسًا
      فَتُعَذِّبُهُ فِي جَهَنَّمَ
"All the painters who make pictures would be in the fire of Hell. The soul will be breathed in every picture prepared by him and it shall punish him in the Hell," Sahih Muslim (3945) and Imam Ahmad in his Musnad Right after that, Ibnu Abbas said:
إِنْ كُنْتَ لا بُدَّ فَاعِلًا فَاصْنَعْ الشَّجَرَ وَمَا لَا نَفْسَ لَهُ "If you have to do it at all, then paint the pictures of trees and lifeless things;" Drawing creatures is the most heavy 'shirk',
"Allah said, 'Who are most unjust than those who try to create something like My creation?" (Sahih al-Bukhari 7559) That is mean drawing is "shirk" to rival God in creating creation (living creature) Shirk in islam means ascribing a partner/ rival to Allah in lordship. Al-'Aini said: "Drawing any living creature (carving of idols) is prohibited, for it is worshipped in the times of the Jahiliyyah. It is prohibited even if it has no shadow or do not consist of matter (referring to drawings and paintings), to close the doors of misdeeds." Refer 'Umdah al-Qari Syarh Sahih al-Bukhari (18/162) All these prohibitions are in the form of Sad al-Zari'ah (closing the doors of misdeeds) in fear that it could be an object of worship and harming our belief.
Whoever died in shirk will be in hell forever
“indeed, Allah does not forgive the sin of syirk, and he forgives the sin other than that for whom he wills” (annisa 48)

Islamic Prohibition in Drawing Cartoon Animation (Living Being) So, all of you Muslims must know about this Prohibition, (or maybe some don't know yet...?) OK, here's the hadith.
•"from [Ibn Abbas] he said, 'Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam said:
"Whoever makes a picture, then on the Day of Judgment he will be tortured until he breathes a soul into the picture, even though he will not be able to." (HR Nasai no. 5624)"
bro, don't you guys read carefully "He will be tortured until he breathes a soul into the image, even though he will not be able to." this means doom forever, eternal in hell forever.
Drawing animate creatures is also one of the branches of shirk (associating partners with Allah) in terms of competing Allah in creating creatures.
and very often we hear that Allah DOESN'T FORGIVE the sin of shirk (meaning that at the reckoning it is not forgiven, but in the world it is forgiven if you repent)
No matter how much they argue about the meaning of this ban, going back and forth about takwil here and there, or this ustad's opinion...
But actually the hadith is very clear, right? this is not just about statue, and not only for worship (meaning those who are afraid the image being worshiped) based on this audition of hadith
"I heard the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam say:
"Allah 'azza wajalla said; Who is more unjust than the one who "creates like My creation"
      means "Create as I create"
and God's prohibition to make pictures by threatening to blow the spirit not because of the image, worshiped besides Him but because those people compete Allah in create being so that it is challenged to breathe in the spirit
Don't narrow your life with excuses,
"I don't have any hobbies other than drawing" "I'm already talented here" "already have a lot of followers"
      GOD'S EARTH IS WIDE,
Insya Allah, if you leave something because of Allah, Allah will replace it with something better.
"Isn't Allah's earth wide, so you can emigrate on that earth?" (annisa: 97)
"And whoever migrated (hijrah) of Allah, surely they will get this earth migration wide and (provision) a lot." (annisa: 100)
"Indeed, if you leave something because of Allah, surely Allah will give you something better" (hr.ahmad)

The ruling of taking picture (photo maker/tashweer)
Taking picture or video with camera is haram, because hadith said we should destroy every picture we found, when it printed. so taking picture with camera is haram total too.. Because it producing living being picture
"Whoever makes pictures, will be punished by Allah till he puts life in it, and he will never be able to put life in it." Sahih al-Bukhari (2225)
Abu Sa’id al-Khudri narrated that the Prophet PBUH said: “The angels do not enter a house in which there are statues or pictures.” (Narrated by Imaam Ahmad; see also Sahih al-Jami’, 1961)
Ali radhiallahu'anhu was once sent to an area, and among the things that Rasulullah ordered him to do was as follows:
لا تدع صورة إلا طمستها ولا قبرا مشرفا إلا سويت
Leave no image without obliterating it, nor leave any elevated grave without leveling it (Muslim)
"Hadiths that discuss the law of drawing are general, whether by painting by hand or with a tool such as a camera. Then the ulama who prohibited it refuted the ulama who allowed camera photos by stating that the reasons put forward were only logical and could not refute the words of the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam. They also forbid it on the grounds that photos taken from a camera are still called shuroh (pictures) even though they are produced using a tool, but they are still called that. Among the scholars who think like this is the author's own teacher, Shaykh Sholeh Al Fauzan -hafizhohullah-. We heard directly when he explained the law of images from the book Ad Durun Nadhid by Muhammad bin 'Ali Asy Syaukani, 18 Muharram 1433 H.

As someone who has two HS teachers in their family, I've been given evidence to the contrary. Oddly enough, HS is a lot calmer on average these days and kids are generally better behaved. However, the drawback seems to be that a lot of them are better behaved because they simply don't have any social skills. It's just a different time, but kids are kids always.

I'm 55. I don't know why I'm watching this video, but it does look like time that's long gone...
In brief, the 80's was a pretty cool decade to live in, and although it wasn't perfect, life seemed bright. Then the brightness dimmed as the 90's rolled around and I can't say I was super happy in the decade.
After 911, it seemed a kind of nastiness was in the air and whilst things changed, it wasn't clear if things were getting better or worse. You were just waiting for things to brighten up again, like they were in the 80's. Hell, I was beginning to miss the 90's by 2004.
I've watched the past 20 years come from what you see in this video, to this weird world of selfies, superficiality, and a culture of self-interest and detachment.
I'm glad to see people fighting against racism, and for the rights of people and their sexual orientation. However, it's just hard to know if some things that claim to have altruistic intensions are really just wolves in sheep's clothing. It's weird that there's a movement against free speech, when it was vital part of my upbringing.
I was a pretty miserable teenager and I had seen teachers punch and slap their pupils - so I wasn't from anything rosey and perfect.
However, the things I'm reading from the younger posters about modern schools is inconceivable.

@@Unknown-rz1sj People who were not around a certain decade tend to over estimate it. The music didn't seem as good then as it does now. Hindsite can fool the mind into thinking things were better than they really were. There was a lot of mediocrity in pop culture in that time period too. There was a lot of time I spent watching MTV, bored out of my mind due to seeing the same old Bryan Adams video for the 15th time in a day. It was expected that pop and rock artists create good songs because that was what they were employed to do. If you were an 80's teenager, you might be free from the rubbish you have today, but you wouldn't be thinking you live in a great decade and if somebody described the 2020's to you as an 80's kid, you would want to be in the 2020's in a heartbeat. The thought of communicating with people all over the world on the internet couldn't even be imagined in the 80's. You relied on TV, movies and music for stimulation.

Whatever the Kardashians are doing; "reality" TV; spiritually living nearly 24/7 within the confines of social media instead of living in reality itself; or just doxxing people into oblivion for any given dumb reason. Y'know, stupid tabloid quality garbage.
What FOMH is trying to say is that so many people are _constantly_ glued to their phones rather than keeping tabs on the world around them outside the colorful 4K screen.

    • @zbdmo4914

@@FourFourSeven I see your point. But, what do you think those people would be doing without phones? They wouldn't be going outside marvelling at nature. You sort of said it yourself. " _tabloid quality garbage_ ." Instead of looking at what the Kardashians are doing on reality TV, they would just read tabloids. Gossip columns. "Low quality news", as some would say. Without screens, those people would be doing the _exact same thing_ but just... not on screens.
To be honest, I don't think technology is the main problem. "So many people are constantly glued to their phones." I used to read a lot, so this statement is funny to me because people would often tell me that I was glued to my book. Now I hear people say that others are too focused on phones, and to me I don't really see the issue. People will find a way to distract themselves and ignore the world and avoid talking to people regardless. Phones and technology is just another method. Before phones were invented, people would read. Daydream. Just simply ignore people.
But I do understand your point.
Technology makes it easier to _access_ this, which is what I think most people mean when they complain about technology. And I kind of agree a little bit.

The summers of 00 and 01 were the best times in my life. I was 20 years old then and would give my left testicle to go back in time. Is it weird i always search for vids of people i never knew from another continent just to see how they experienced those days, to remind me how the world looked back then? Makes me feel nostalgic, quite sad, thats it long gone but its something i cant stop doing.

I’m not sure why this was, I got along better with the older kids than I did the kids that were in my own class. Had a lot to do with sports also, that’s where I met most of them and we became close. It's so hard to convey to people just {How difficult it was to capture these times on camera!} I loved how much everyone LIVED thru this era. I'd give anything to go back. The aesthetic, the vibe, the attitude, the willingness to be a dork, brash, an ass, and kind all at the same time. Notice the array of age's and things just worked okay because that's just how everyone learned to exist. It almost feels like in today's modern day people don't know how to share space, roll with diversity, Abstraction, and just naturally find your own unplanned way to fit in and adapt to whatever situation you stumbled yourself into. I miss that free flowing nonsense and just having awkward social interactions that you actually look back fondly on. Like that feeling of "you know what, I'm glad I did that, that I engaged that moment, even if I was a dork, maybe in the moment I felt a little embarrassed, but after that wore off, I actually cherish that occured, and sometimes they lead to absurdly awesome outcomes. Nothing else, but now. and all there will be is more NOW. So make peace with Now, instead of looking at the past or future for your freedom because that is false.

I started college in 2000, and we could check out the classes available online, but still had to manually fill out a sheet with our desired classes, stand in line for an hour or two to register them, and if they weren't available or were full, you had to hunt down the professor and get them to manually sign off on allowing you into the class, OR, check back the day after classes started to see if people dropped out, then get permission (manually) to fill in that slot.
Then you had to stand in line again for an hour or two to add in all your classes. It was stressful, chaotic, and frustrating. Luckily the next year everything moved online (you still had to manually get permissions, but at least you *knew* you had to early on in the process). God bless the internet.
