The Phoenix Tackles Ice and Mud!

  • February. It’s not the beginning of spring. It’s not the end of winter. But some days, it feels like the beginning of the end. Or maybe even the beginning of the beginning. We will still have a cold spell or two before it’s all over, but at least we have more daylight to enjoy.
Ice lingers in the shade while snow melts in the sun. Rivulet of water flow over frozen ground, making muddy trails. It seems like the perfect time to take the Vanquish VS4-10 Phoenix out for a little trail run in the late afternoon sun.
I’m still learning to shoot with the new full-frame video camera on this outing. As a result I’m still focusing (pun intended) more on the filming than on the driving. This familiar and less technical trail was welcome.

Spring is just around the corner when you did this, won’t be long. As always fantastic work and thank you.

The spring flows year round so it’s a favourite destination. There are some rocks nearby but they are flooded with river ice right now. Can’t wait for spring to really be here so I can do some proper rock crawling.
