I agree. Also I had interactions with leftist people where I agreed with their beliefs, but not blindly, I was shouted at and insulted. When I explained I didn't partake in any politics I was compared to A WAR CRIMINAL, because during WW2 some countries stayed neutral and people died in the war 🙄🙄🙄
@@AlissaSss23 But the thing is that they’re just virtue signaling and shouting continuous slogans they hear online. I think it’s also a narcissistic feeding frenzy as well. They also continuously pat each other on the back just bc they feel like the better person. Extremists on the right are like this. It’s the most terrifying thing to be under that umbrella. Going in the real world instead of remaining behind the keyboard is important. 🥹 A lot of them need to stop being raised by devices and told the truth. Of course not all are the same but so many are like this…
I've never been left, very center-right i believe, but man am I tired of being told I'm an "empowered victim" just for being a woman, or that my disability is empowering, an obstacle of oppression, and quirky enough to mimic or flaunt all at the same time.
One time I was debating a woman about Lia Thomas and she told me I couldn’t speak on it because I wasn’t trans. She started ripping into conservatives saying we use our religion as a shield to be transphobic. So I told her you can’t speak on conservatives because you aren’t one. When I tell you I swear smoke came out of her ears…like she couldn’t believe I would use her words against her. They are walking hypocrites.
The religious right are the most transphobic, homophobic, and misogynistic people on Earth. It is a direct order from their racist bigoted god. There's no way around it. They were created in their god's image.
Ex feminazi here. Through a series of events in my young life I learned to hate and distrust all men. Then one day in my new college I saw a sign up for a Women's Studies class and thought wow, Susan B Anthony, etc etc, but the professor, also a woman, talked to me like I was a dumb 4-year-old. That's the fastest way to get on my bad side, but it ended up being part of the healing process because I got to see these people for who they really are--angry, condescending, bigoted. Later on I became a Christian and just celebrated 37 years with a wonderful man.
you were likely never a feminist in the first place. now a days i see men following the likes of andrew tate and femicide is on the rise. feminism isnt a bad thing.
So you slipped your old collar and put on another one. I hope it works out better for you, but I think you'll find your new friends will lie to you as much as the old ones did, just about different things but at least you're better at spotting that now. I know you'll see this as an attack or insult but it really isn't. Growing up religious I managed to realize the indoctrination with a little help but it took time. Honestly, I hope it works out better for you but I haven't seen much improvement from the various groups. And if you have a son DON'T take him to the church unsupervised!!! Even if you dismiss everything else I say, please, please at least consider this.
@@joolsstoo3085 I was a leftist idiot up until Bill Clinton in his first term. I've voted Republican ever since because Leftists lies and the social rot they created I came to despise. Now, I'm an independent because it's a uniparty designed to divide and conquer while they literally steal everything from everyone! Wake up please! Notice how they need wars? Why? Why do they need wars so fucking much!?! Liberals are victims of some kind of new CIA MK-Ultra experiment. Truth kids. Stop the hatred for your neighbors, were victims too!
As a former liberal, I was always envious and angry at successful people. I assumed things just came to them easily. At some point, I realized that successful people worked harder than me, took more risks than I was willing to take, and faced their fears head on instead of hiding from them. Ever since i turned more conservative, I find I take more responsibility for my own actions and my life vastly improved. I believe that we do need to help those who are struggling, but telling them they are victims is the worst thing you can do. People need to learn to do things that are hard for them and develop resilience. It feels good to be strong!
My parents come from a very poor background, my mom had to eat sugar on bread for a whole day. But because she is hard working, she now is a millionaire making more money that my dad. I do agree with some rich people are shady and evil, but actions say more than words. Being rich is not a crime, being rich and benefiting from others suffering is. This is only the case for these elitist type of people.
"Successful people are willing to do the things that unsuccessful people aren't willing to do" Something I've always been told & have always stood by! With that said, I'd also just like to say I am very proud of you for standing up for yourself & accepting accountability for your own mistakes & whatnot! It seriously takes A LOT for a person to own up to their mistakes & learn from that & I am so incredibly proud of you for doing so & wanting to make a change within your life. You are amazing in more ways than you realize & I wish nothing but the absolute best for you in the future!
@purplecitrine775 That's exactly right!!! Most kids, teens, young adults & even some grown ass adult these days truly believe that they are entitled to basically anything they want & need & they don't feel like they are responsible for making those things happen for themselves! Really it's just people in general these days & not just young people anymore! People feel like the world owes them something & that they are entitled to whatever they want & then have the nerve to get upset & angry about not getting it & throw a fit! I 110% blame mostly social media & lazy/terrible parenting these days & also the fact that these so called "parents" are allowing the internet to basically raise/parent their children & we all know how easily influenced a person can become especially when turning to then internet for all of their issues/problems such as self diagnosis for mental health! It really really messes with my mental health knowing my children will grow up in such a deranged, messed up, cruel, selfish world! I always found it pretty messed up to know that the owner & creators (CHINA) of the world's (Mostly USA) most influential & dangerous app (TikTok) that pulls in billions of dollars a year won't even allow their OWN people to access that app!! The app (TikTok) is not even accessable over in China/Japan/Korea & is banned because they know good & well the problems & dangers it brings therefore they don't even let their own people use it however, it's literally shoved down our throats here in America because they know just how much it can & will cause some very very serious problems for us, have extremely negative impacts & will overall cause our society to slowly but surely become numb to many things & simply just dumb down the people which btw it has already been successful in doing so & is still happening today! What's funny is, their (China) version of basically our TikTok is called something like "Duyon" (don't quote me on that) & it is ONLY content focused on things that are educational, inspirational, Loving, emotionally fulfilling, Happy & overall very positive things! You will find absolutely NO NEGATIVITY on that app WHATSOEVER! The Chinese are absolutely aware of just what they are doing & they are fully aware that the app (TikTok) was created for a purpose & they have overly succeeded in that purpose & have most definitely surpassed in getting into the household, personal lives & the mind of millions & millions of people young & old & was able to take control of each & every person by feeding them daily negativity, hate, anger, depression, sadness, anxiety, poor mental health, confusion & beyond... Basically anything negative that severely impacts the minds & lifestyles of anyone who uses the app & prevent them from anything that could possibly expand their mind, their education, promotion of positivity & good mental health, becoming wiser or really just anything that could possibly influence anyone from receiving facts, knowledge or thinking for themselves whatsoever! They want our society to be as dumbed down as possible & prevent the from knowing how to think for themselves & having to rely on TikTok for any & all answers to all of their problems & tbh they have been more than successful at doing just that! 🤣🤦🏼♀️ Funny, they keep push the ignorance onto the western society & ban their own country from even knowing what TikTok is & they keep the good stuff for themselves & won't even allow their own folks to use the same app they force upon us & make BILLIONS daily! That should really open folks eyes & tell them something knowing TikTok creators force us to use an app that they won't even allow their own kind to use simply because they know the extremely negative, extremely disturbing & terrible effects that it causes! Hell, folks are so ignorant & so incapable of thinking for themselves these days, they could be told & shown any & every horrible & negative things that TikTok causes & has caused/continues to cause & it could happen to them as well yet they are so brainwashed, dumbed down & gullible that they simply would care at all & it would most likely cause them to enjoy it even more! Sad sad sad world this is! Absolutely pathetic & so far gone it's not even funny anymore!
I hear ya. 30 year liberal here but now I'm just right of center. I don't recognize anything about today's liberalism. It doesn't deal in realities, it's bonkers.
That’s exactly what happened in the “what is a woman “ documentary. He asked a normal question and there was a no answer ( for them) that they went straight to emotion. Their answers were “ so you want them to be depressed? “ or “ you want them to be suicidal?” All they asked is “ what is a woman” that is it. Never said no one could feel a certain way or live a certain way. Just asked a question.
exactly the only people that would answer his question without the circular answer or questions in response was the female MD, the transman Scott, Jordan Peterson and the detransitioner.
How many times do we hear "I am uncomfortable with the premise of your question" translates to "I am only willing to listen to questions that don't challenge my beliefs"
@@Last.Stand.1111 it is psychologically proven that it physically hurts to be wrong. That why most people fight for their life instead of just admitting they had wrong ideas or believes
I'm not really sure what the hell people expect when they so readily embrace whatever the hell influencers rush to feed them as the truth. Being delusional can only excuse so much. At some point, their intelligence has to come into question as well.
When you’re extreme on either side of the isle, you’re miserable. I’m a 20 year old gay ex-leftie. Being a leftist made me so insecure. I was in the victim mentality where my sexuality was constantly in the forefront of my mind, and I was always making assumptions that people were against me. I’m out of that thank goodness, now I realize that people genuinely don’t give a fuck. There’s really nothing for me to fight for, as I have everything I need in this country.
Yep. My sister and dad are very conservative and when it comes to gay people they do not care that people are gay. They say that it doesn’t affect their daily lives so it’s none of their concern.
im glad you were able to separate from the left and be comfortable with who you are. the left truly takes obviously real problems but instead of working to actually create a solution, they just tell people they should be scared. they use fear to gain power and then blame people with opposing beliefs to divide the country because thats how they win. they tell people to be scared, usually blame the right even though most of the time its really not the rights fault at all, and then act like they are gonna be the savior to fix the problem when rfeally when they do get elected they sit on their ass and when they fuck up they blame others as if they werent the ones in office who have the power to fuck up as bad as they did. inflation is extremely bad right now, but biden is pretending its somehow trumps fault. he also said that the wall is keeping people who need help out. biden didnt care about the immigrtion crisis when it was affecting red states, but when florida and texas and arizona started flying the illegal immigrants to blue states, biden decides he wants to finish the wall. hes biast and doesnt care about red states. the president is supposed to do whats best for the whole country, but i guess dealing with a whole country might be difficult for a senile raisin who cant even seem to make it up the stairs unscathed.
sorry i wasnt trying to go on a rant. reading you comment just made me happy that you were able to get out of the situation you were in, but reading the mental battles you experienced because of the left made me angry and sent me on a rant lol
@@quinn9420 No you’re all good, I think your rant may have been deleted. The left always preaches about loving yourself, and not caring what anybody thinks, but their actions say the exact opposite. I think of who I was as less of a mental battle, and more of an embarrassment. It’s that I got looped into something that made me feel like I had to always be on defense mode, had to always worry if somebody was going to hate me, that made me have so much unnecessary anger, and just be so damn ignorant. I remember working at my previous jobs when I was 15-18 and a leftist. I was always got quite nervous when I had to wait on conservative looking people, rugged looking men, teenage guys, people wearing crosses. I would always lower the pitch of my voice, walk and act more masculine. When people were assholes, I immediately jumped to conclusions in my head that they were homophobic, and started getting defensive. If you were to come into my work when I was younger wearing a MAGA hat, I probably would’ve given you a rotten look, or just straight up ignore you. If I were to see you outside of work, I would have given a snarky remark. That level of ignorance is encouraged on the left. I’ve had old friends run around stealing trump signs off of lawns, ride peoples asses or cut them off when driving if they had a sticker they didn’t like, yell at people who said something that is against their beliefs etc. The grass is much greener on the other side when you realize that ignorance does not solve anything. All of our ancestors went through hell for us to get to where we are today, only for all these people to bitch and whine about every little thing. The only way we can have some inner peace, is if we accept and appreciate where we are in this life. And the only way we are every going to get unity in this country, is if we see people eye to eye.
As a former leftist, I completely understand the emotional charge. Someone tries to put logical thinking into your thoughts and beliefs and you’re immediately offended because they’re questioning it BECAUSE YOU HAVE NO REAL PROOF TO BACK IT UP. That’s what believing everything people tell you does. I’m so glad I looked into the facts and reality and found THE truth. Because MY truth doesn’t exist. That’s a fact for everyone.
"Because MY truth doesn’t exist." Can that be shouted out to the world? If there is any idea I want to kill it's the "MY truth" nonsense. No it's your PERSPECTIVE.Perspective's are not truth. Perspective can be manipulated and wrong.
It's not mere leftism, it's more like radical leftism. Usually it comes from a streak of independence met with failure. Radical leftists tend to fail at their goals and instead of either tempering their sights or developing themselves they often desire to change the policies that lead to their failure in the first place. This will often cause them to take an extreme stance in victimhood to the point where they will even "become a voice" for marginalized groups they personally don't care about. You can tell they are being inauthentic when they fail to learn the language of or the history or even care to romantically date the marginalized group they claim to protect.
Most of them are too far gone, brainwashed. You can show them the facts and read them Biden quotes and they will say how racist it was but then when you tell them it was biden they start justifying it and calling trump evil and anything just to get rid of trump. Its freaking insanity. No matter what facts you put before them they will just be like trump trump trump, republicans, red states, the south blablabla. They can never say trump and anything good in one sentence. Like they've mentally lost the ability to acknowledge one nice thing hes done for anyone. Black schools, jobs etc
When questioned you also take it personally because the ideology becomes part of your self identity so it’s like they’re attacking you personally and not your ideas.
Self-righteousness, self-importance, and being offended give a person a power trip when they hold no actual power over others. It's intoxicating and addicting.
I used to identify as someone who was generally leftist... but now the far left has stretched the line soooooo far that I've somehow found myself living in what's now a conservative area. It's really strange because I don't feel like my own personal values or beliefs have drifted very far over the years, just the far left has become so extreme that by comparison, the old-school left is now the new conservative.
A while back, I remember seeing a quote from (of all people) Ronald Reagan. "I didn't leave the Democratic Party, it left me." That seems to fit what a lot of folks are experiencing. That 'the left' has shifted so far into the extreme they simply don't stand for the same things anymore. A person can hold true to their beliefs and views, only to find the political party that once aligned with them no longer does.
Former leftist millennial here, I was angry and depressed for many years and couldn't figure out why. Now I am moderate to conservative depending on the issue, and SO much happier. As a woman I was always blaming men for why I was single and unhappy but it was actually the toxic feminism I was ingesting for over a decade.
This confuses me a bit, because many feminists claim they WANT to be single and that they don't need a man, etc. Is that just some small subset of feminists? It seems pretty common to me, so I would assume that's the mainstream feminism.
If you're not a liberal as a child, you don't have a heart. If yours not a conservative as an adult you don't have a brain (and these days, anything not left is considered "conservative") 😉
You can be a toxic feminist and still have to beat men away with a stick because the fact that you hate their guts is NOT a deal breaker for them if you're young and pretty. This feminist=loney thing is a lie. Every single woman I know is single because she isn't looking, the second she casts her reel she'll get a ton of bites provided she's normal-looking. Men don't really care about our personalities until they're invested.
@@mommalion7028 Men don't care about personalities for one night stand. But they definitely do care when looking for a GF. That's why awful women still can get laid easily but then complain they get "fck zoned" and men won't commit.
@@mommalion7028 Also, depends if the woman actually presents her personality at all. If most (or all) she has on her social media is her photos in bikini or twerking videos, then that's obviously the only thing to go for. Most likely not a girlfriend material.
I didn't know about that motto, but I do stay angry about some stuff that I should just let go of. I love these comments. I was never a leftist but taking this "Stay angry" motto about almost anything is going to mess you up and not help anybody. Thanks for your comment. I really helps me look in the mirror. I do see an angry stuck person in some thinking patterns I have. I have sound real reasons to chill out about some of my intensity about a couple subjects now.
@@orangeandslinky If anything, this whole cancel culture thing has made me think maybe we all just need to lighten up a little. Life is too short to be angry at anything and everything, especially stuff that's out of our control. Might as well sit back and enjoy the ride.
I have a young (40s, to me that's young) relative who talks about injustice and "the system". When I asked him what system he was talking about, he dodged the question. When I asked him what he was doing about the injustice, he said it couldn't be fixed. So he has given himself brownie points for recognizing the world's problems while simultaneously excusing himself from any obligation to do anything about them. He's content to pass them on to his children.
I personally have to limit my intake of the media these days. I'm an independent but the extreme left and extreme right stress me out after a while bc of the lies and manipulation.
Around Trump's 3rd year in office, it got so bad & seemed like the left was encouraging nonstop riots. I had to stop watching anything about politics (including new movies & new TVseries). I started checking out older stand-up & 90s shows. Had to start back for election news.
Radicalism and extremism are the main problems for both sides. The far left makes the left look bad and the far right make the right look bad. Both sides then lock in these radicals and paint them as the quota of the entire group. The right paints the left as radical LGBTQ and socialists, the left paints the right as racists and extremely conservative. It ignores the more logical and reasonable moderates within these groups.
Exactly. Also as an independent I constantly see one side constantly blaming or blocking the other for everything. Makes me think children are running this country.
My Grandfather used to say to my Mother who later told me, "Don't believe half of what you hear in the news, and be skeptical of the other half." Wise words.
Dear Siege, I love that saying and I'm definitely going to remember it. Thank you for sharing such good advice from your grandfather down to you, and now the rest of us. Love from Amanda Jones in Melbourne, Australia ❤️

Well in May of 2020, the world got to see first hand and in living color exactly what people had been saying for years. On a more local level, why is it when a Black person enters into a space that's mostly populated by white people, they have to prove they are allowed to be there? What is it about just the color of one's skin that brings about just a visceral reaction in some? There's a James Baldwin quote I'm looking for. I'll post when I find it. EDIT: In 1961, author James Baldwin was asked by a radio host about being Black in America. He said: To be a Negro in this country and to be relatively conscious ('woke is the bogey man today) is to be in a state of rage almost, almost all of the time - and in one's work. The state of rage I took to mean that the social injustices are not being addressed. Some of the ones that existed in 1961 are still hanging around today.

I’ve gone through this exact change over the past few years. It’s not just young people. I’m a 53 year old disabled veteran. I was SO angry for so many years. I’m in the middle now. I’ve realized the vast majority of people are just living their lives. They aren’t oppressing everyone else as the far left wants you to believe. Thank you for articulating this so well.
Modern White People of North America, United States and Canada are not slave owners nor colonists, those types of White People are long dead but the Far Left acts like they still exist and no man in the modern age of this continent is preventing any modern woman from getting a job, these Far Leftists are trapped in the past completely oblivious to what is actually going on in the modern age of this continent.
I don't think they really even believe that people are oppressing others, at least the ones at the top who are injecting all this madness. I went to a socialist meeting at 18, admittedly I didn't know what socialism was at that time, they kept going on about capitalism being bad and everything should be free, I asked "Do you have a job? Do you go to the shop and buy food? Aren't you a part of capitalism when you make and use money" instead of answering my question they got really angry and the whole group turned on me, I just walked out and never went back, I felt they were very aggressive and I was being backed in a corner by a group for asking a question.
I once asked similar questions to socialists and they just calmly replied that since they live in a capitalist country they simply have no choice but to work for a capitalist, use money etc, because literally everything around you belongs to capitalists. They said that as humans they are part of society and don't want to separate themselves from the majority of people. I thought it was a fair argument. What I'm trying to say is that there are reasonable people on both sides of the spectrum, but we rarely hear them because of "the loudest". Attacking someone who just made a question is so unhealthy and disrespectful.
@@КсенияНеклюдова-ш8ц Except that's not really a 'fair argument' for engaging in capitalism and thereby supporting and benefitting from it when the very democratic freedom that is a foundational aspect of capitalism allows them to relocate to a country which isn't capitalist and thereby live according to the very doctrine which they espouse. They're just typical slacktivists with the standard 'do as I say not as I do', 'rules for thee but not for me', champagne socialist outlook. I am so glad to see you young people waking up. When I was your age, I lived in Germany, the Berlin wall was still up and we went with our high school teacher to East Berlin. I tell you, for me it was like a trip to hell. The people were so afraid of talking, they would scramble if we tried to have a conversation. Not only was Big brother watching, but people were policing each other. People were so opressed. They could not anything, unless the state said it was ok. The houses were monotone and dirty. There was nothing that was nice to look at. The cars looked all the same, with huge smoke coming out of the exhaust. We could not breathe. The stuff you saw in stores were dollar store quality. The close looked all the same. People were lining up around the corner for wanting to by bread. We all had been given money to buy something little, we did not bother spending it. When it was dark, it was very dark. No light in east Berlin. Yes socialism alright. I could go on but too much writing for me. When we came back home, I cried so hard and then went into a depression. Now that was in the 70tis. West Berlin was awesome. So much life and celebration, lights, trees, flowers, art etc. I pray and say please no Socialism. These kids do not know what they are saying.
Yes! I lived in West Berlin for 3 years and went to East Berlin often. The difference between the West and East was remarkable! In 1974, I had a new handheld calculator that I brought with me on one trip to the East. (In 1974 the calculator was about as big as a "Walkman" and really didn't calculate much more than basic math plus square root and %.) I had the calculator out and I was figuring the dollar cost of an item...I looked up after a minute or two and there were several men who had come a bit close- looking interested in it. One fellow even asked if he could buy it. I wisely said no...particularly since 2 armed Polizei had also drawn close and were eyeing us with suspicion. I found out afterwards that had I engaged in conversation and even discussed letting the guy buy it off me, I'd have been detained.

I was never a leftist, but I had friends who screamed their leftist ideology from the rooftops. So I agreed with some of their ideas I suppose; after all they were simply fighting “injustice”. Overtime I began to see how horrible these people were, how they would seek out things to be offended by, twist peoples words, and if you didn’t agree with everything they did you were labeled a bigot. These people were so angry. They preached kindness, but were rude to people. They also LOVE their labels. They have no identity, no self worth, without their labels. I’ve seen firsthand how they operate and I want no part of that miserable life.

True but 1st you have to believe facts. There is the problem with the Left. Facts don’t matter only Feelings. What they Feel is more important then truths and facts. They can’t even figure out “what is a woman” cause of feelings. They believe there is 100+ genders again cause of feelings. When facts and true tell us there is 2 genders period.
What I hate is when I ask someone on the left to correct my information, show me where I am wrong, they either claim they can't convince me and we should agree to disagree or keep spewing their stand without any critical thinking or facts.
I completely agree with this! I do not go on tiktok anymore because I was on “the black tiktok” which was SO MUCH negativity, it felt like the WORLD WAS AGAINST BLACK PEOPLE. I was afraid to leave my house or go grocery shopping . I got so anxious that I was not black enough, that I’m not “woke” enough or thinking “I have one strike against my blackness because my husband is white” then I actually WATCHED a Candace Owen interview and I listened to her views and what she was saying, I dived deeper did my own research and my entire world flipped and it became much less scary ❣️❣️

As someone who lives in a conservative area almost everyone does see past race; we accept that we all have differences but we TRY to embrace them instead of forcing uniformity. I see black people as another person who has the same expectations I have leveed at me; black men and women get to succeed and fail on their merits and honestly, it’s black people who rise above their circumstances far more often than white people in my area. I love how diverse my area is; and how successful and independent everyone can be.
As a teenager in a leftist community where lots of women I know say a bunch of things from how women are still oppressed and men are evil to making their political views their entire personality, I am so happy someone is openly voicing reason- I don’t have to definitively pick one side, I can make up my own mind and have the best of both left and right ideologies and my life doesn’t have to be all about politics 😂 Thank you so much for sharing your ideas 🙏
Would it be strange to hear I'm a progressive with a concealed carry permit? The problem with righties is that the message is more important than the facts. Progressives say they want gun reform closing of loopholes and conservatives claim they want to take all guns. Progressives say they want freedom of choice when terminating pregnancy and conservatives claim they want to kill the baby after it's born. It's such an anti-intellectual tactic that doesn't allow for conversation cause you are not even listening. But then again, red states rank last in education so anything intellectual shouldn't be expected. Right-Wing media outlets push expectations of masculinity that further harm men’s mental health. One example is the expectation of being fully self-sufficient right out of school. Failure to do so results in being portrayed as an emasculated male. Right wingers only have an issue with big corporations performatively and when they disagree with what it is doing. They don't give a fuck about big pharma, unless it comes to covid vaccines. They don't give a flying fuck about Disney's racism, sexism or performativity, unless they made Ariel black. Worst part is that they then use that to call anyone who specifically supports COVID vaccines or the black Ariel hypocrites because left-leaning people would normally be against big pharma and Disney. As if they were endorsing the corporations by defending one specific thing they did.
That’s interesting. The best thing you can do is read books about philosophy, history and politics and get a wider grounding in the many ideas that have shaped our world (though don’t let that get in the way of just enjoying being young!). I wonder if there’s a moment where those teenagers who lived relatively comfortable lives are suddenly hit with the realisation that they are no longer as important and that they will need to work, sometimes competitively, and that even this won’t guarantee their success. This is a genuinely difficult thing to deal with, but instead of being offered real support they’re being led on by those who believe that ‘reality’ is a con, a scam perpetrated by ‘power’ to horde all the good things for itself (as if they wouldn’t *also* do this if *they* were in power … ). As such, they’re never given the chance to come to terms with how things are and find happiness as part of a radically complex and often uncaring society.
Realizing that feminism was the cornerstone of the democrat party's ideology was the redpill moment to me that changed it all. Sargon of Akkad and Paul Joseph Watson helped me see that more than any other voices. Feminism and its offshoots, they are firstmost solipsism. For feminism, to all human males. For social justice, to white people, men (at least the ones who don't want to be turned into women). A denial of personhood, subhuman status. They are secondmost, hatred. Raw hatred. Of white men. Because that's their scapegoat for all their problems. Thirdly, they are greed, and entitlement. And fourth, they are narcissism. Virtue signaling, self-righteousness, whatever you want to call it. Those are the 4 pillars of progressive ideology.
As a former leftist, I think what made me so angry with the world was the idea that I had to feel guilt as a straight white male because of all the injustice going on. Being a member of the same group as the oppressors really frustrated me because I'd always tried to be a good person. I was constantly told that my opinions mattered less because of my status as an oppressor, and I was told that my needs should come secondary to those who have been historically oppressed. This made me feel like the oppression in the world was directly making my life worse, despite me having so many supposed privileges. And when I struggled I felt like I was failing more than people in other groups, because despite the deck being stacked for me to win I was struggling all the same. It really just made my life hell, and it took a lot for me to finally see the toxic ideology of the left, and the cult-like behavior.
That's one of the many reasons this stuff never works. They were using the same exact strategies in the 90s, in the 70s there were many active left-wing terrorist groups. This is nothing new, they recruit and use young people all the time. That's why they are so active in the universities. You really need people who lack world experience to get them so worked up on an emotional level. Most like you will ultimately figure it out and move on while they will be back at the colleges trying to find a replacement.
I'm a white male. Never felt guilt. My family came from poor share croppers. I have nothing to be ashamed about. White people fought a civil war to free slaves... How much more can white people do. We have done more than enough.
The first SJW I met was in army basic training. This was around 2000. She was upset that the drill sergeants were being mean and unfair to us and she wanted me to go with her up the chain of command to report their meanness. It was the first time I ever met the activist type who thought she could revolutionize the way basic training was conducted. I was thinking, "Um, they're SUPPOSED to be mean, dummy. That's the entire point." Needless to say, I didn't go with her nor did anyone else that I know of.
@@K05H Yeah, I don't know why she didn't know how basic training was supposed to work. I don't remember if she ever completed it. She got sick from drinking out of a contaminated canteen, (at least that's the story I heard), and we continued without her. I don't know if she ever graduated.
I grew up in the Caribbean in a pretty moderate household. In college, I became completely leftist radical shaved head RAH RAH and super depressed. It was because of many of the things you shared here. Everything was painted as an injustice, I was told I was a victim, echo chambers etc. When I broke out and left the cult of wokeness, my mental wellness skyrocketed. I will caveat that I faced personal hardships growing up yet OPPRESSION? No haha.
I grew up in a heavily secular and progressive community. Both my parents were agnostic. My sisters are both atheists and heavily left-leaning. I was probably more left-leaning than the rest throughout my teens. I drew upside-down crosses, made anti-American political art, wrote edgy anti-establishment music, etc. But in my early twenties I met my wife and living with her, getting married, having children, and owning property has made me completely shift my views. I stopped whining, and started taking accountability for those for which I was responsible. I started looking inward, and analyzed my philosophy. I realized how vacuously empty it had left my life. I honestly couldn’t remember the last time I’d felt joy. I remembered that it must have been sometime in my childhood, pre-puberty, pre-political activism, etc. I became depressed, so I reached out to the only source I recalled as bringing me happiness: my childhood. In authors I’d abandoned in my youth, I found a common philosophy, a worldview that re-enchanted my life and the way I lived it. I’ve since become more conservative, and pushed back against both the paranoia of the reactionary conservatism of my father, and the blind allegiance to progress for progress’ sake of my sisters/mother. I nod back to an older form of conservatism, one of community, localism, tradition, faith, family, and land. My father and I, though we have since established a much stronger relationship than when we were younger, now argue about which is harming society more, collectivism or individualism (I argue the latter). My sisters all think I’m some neo-fascist Luddite who somehow got stuck in the Middle Ages, who wants to “control women’s bodies” and hates minorities (I don’t). It’s tough being conservative today, arguable more difficult than being progressive. The institutions are against you, culture threatens to silence you, your ideas rendered anathema to the current zeitgeist. But don’t let that stop you. You should be concerned about truth, above all else.
OR you could have chosen to throw your kids into the sacrificial pit, and you and your wife dance around and chant the spells "everyone owes me something". Im just saying. Instead of loving your kids and your family you could have loved yourself even more. Think about it next time your kids piss you off. You can still abort them up until 20 years old in california.
Leftist recruitment is almost always built upon exploiting resentment of one (or both) of your parents. In this case, your father. Cults always depend upon alienating you from the people who care about you.
Exactly - it's funny how that happens when we grow up - isn't it? Same thing happened to me - heavily left leaning especially on women's issues - abortion- pay wage gap- blah blah blah- up until Obama - got married had kids - property the whole thing - and my views just changed on everything - 🤟 welcome to the club brother! 😂
Thank you for your thoughtful comment. I am like you, was surprised with two daughters and it changed my perspective. Marriage and children made me wonder what else I have been wrong about. I think communism is waiting at the gates for the US and it is terrifying to have children and know their futures are dim
That was what did it for me as well, thought he was just barely the lesser evil, up against Hillary,(he turned out to be surprisingly way better than I expected, obviously), but the mindless tantrums they threw, I’ve never looked at them the same ever since….
They kept running a snippet of Trump saying “They’re rapists” I looked it up and watched the speech he was talking about MS13 and not all Hispanics are bad but we need to stop the trafficking and violence brought by the gangs.
I wish young people in Western countries could understand that the very fact that they have the luxury of so much excessive time to be entertained or enraged by other people's thoughts and opinions, or just to be wander around inside their own heads...is a privilege. Not having that privilege is something that many of our ancestors lived with everyday. And now only people in 3rd world countries experience it. It's called "just surviving". And I mean that LITERALLY...not the way Westerners use it. But in a way, they are at least blessed with clarity of mind. Working from sun up to sun down doesn't leave a lot of time for narcissism.
@@jovanalmen8660 A lot of them do. They work so hard over there so when they get up; they like damn everybody else ya just lazy but ima help my people😒
Yeah cause we weren't indoctrinated in schools like kids are nowadays, lol This is new to a lot of us older ones. We are 59 now and just learning all this lunacy, but it's good they are all debating it, because this is how criminals take over a country, like Mao, Castro, etc. etc. they use all these tricks.
The "former Leftist" grift huh? Candace Owens, Tim Pool, Dave Rubin etc. were all former leftists. You dummies are getting scammed and you fall for it every time. It is easier to grift the Right than the Left. Ask yourself why.
The reason lies in shame. Once you get someone to the state of shame, then they need to hide the mistake by standing by it. The Marxiists understand ths
I'm watching this as a Gen Xer that grew up in the 90s. We had a very inclusive group that I was proud to be a part of. We didn't think about it, we just accepted everyone. Now, I see people dividing themselves. This scares me to my core. The worst part is people locking themselves in a cage of their own mind and begging someone in authority to to take the key.
This was my experience too. Organic unity among people who had little or no trust in The Man. Now people are jumping into prefabricated identity boxes and fighting for more power to be taken from The People and handed over to The Man and treating those who think critically about it as heretics.
Oh my gosh, this is so nailing it. This is exactly what alienates me from the radical left. Why "can a cigar not sometimes just be a cigar" ? Why must every bit be a sign of oppression, racism or injustice? These people never give you a break. Thanks, Amala, to help me find understanding my problem with the radical left better.
I was so angry when I was a leftist. I feel much better now, living in reality and all. The weird thing is being conservative is much harder because my family and friends think I’m a bad person now because I don’t agree with them politically. Yet I’m still much happier in every aspect of my life.
Welcome to the party! I’ve lost friends over politics but I also gained friends. You have to stand for something and unfortunately that means others may have problems adjusting to the change. God bless you Good luck to you

True, I got into an argument with a leftist who said people that don’t date out of their race are racist. I told them maybe it’s environmental/cultural factors, that it doesn’t matter anyway as long as their respectful. Then it somehow turned into not dating a fat person is fat phobic, not dating a trans person is transphobic & not dating midgets is heightphobic. I told them again as long their respectful, not everyone’s gonna be somebody’s cup of tea and that there’s someone out there for everyone. At the end they crossed shoulders & said “people suck” and left.
"We should all be dating a mix race, fat, trans, midget or ELSE!" Else what? Whatever they say... I'm okay with the words, titles, nonsense they use. When they are ready to act on things, they'll be very unprepared because I was ready before they started playing word games.
lol this is a typical leftist's mindset. Just adding ''-ist'' and ''phobic'' to every word and calling it an ''argument''. They're tiring, don't argue with them. Waste of oxygen
One thing I will never get over is how when I was on the left the phrase that was constantly said was “if you’re not angry, then you’re not paying attention”. They told us to be angry and miserable. We were taught to always be upset and without peace.
Isn't there truth in that, though? Righteous anger is a classic Aristotelian virtue. Without it, political change never takes place. No-one ever made the world better by passively accepting its injustices. The attitude 'my life it okay, so why should I be angry?' is myopic, and is a mindset that comes from ignoring the reality within which you're situated.
“If you’re not angry, you’re not paying attention.” it’s literally a slogan. To make you look smarter, woker, more caring than others who might actually be enjoying that moment in life.
Im educated so im better than you. Im angrier and anti everything constantly so im more passionate. The entire left has shifted far left. From tree huggers to hostile unstable hateful terrorists. Bullies
We could say that about them. If we aren't angry about the lefts' psychotics destroying our lives and culture then we aren't paying attention. Since they are actually destroying lives and a normal way of life, a life otherwise without psychopaths infringing on our peace (a peaceful life) due to their absolute bullshit beliefs.
I’ve been watching your videos recently and it’s really helped me away from the left, I’m a lesbian woman and the left has left (yes that’s a pun) me miserable. I’ve been coerced into believing I was trans, into believing everyone was against me and into thinking I’m “not gay” enough etc. my last straw with the left had been when people started referring to lesbians as “non-men loving non-men” they’re erasing identities because they’re desperately trying to find more thing to be mad about!
@@Isabella_Mac Sadly, it's not just about getting mad, it's about trying to destroy truth, create more chaos. It is rather evil to even try to take away the reality of "mother". That it is "woman", the mother who gives birth.
I have traveled throughout the world from 1991 to the year 2010, the United States the greatest country in the world with the best resources has the most angriest unhappiest people I’ve ever met. I once went to a country that was impoverished people barely had anything yet they were so happy and they were so grateful for everything that they did have
intentional. politicians will stir all kinds of divisive ideologies for self gain, and it keeps you distracted from current issues. If you don't know that, you will act like a fool, protesting in the streets without knowing why.
Having experienced darker skinned black people (that aren’t family) try to say I can’t possibly understand and empathize because I’m “too light skinned”, I learned a long time ago that going with the grain is overrated. As I get older, I just find I’m less patient with the extremes on either side. There’s always an enemy. There’s always a battle. And if they can’t find one, they’ll project it onto whoever happens to be close enough. It must be exhausting and stressful to be a victim all the time. I really do hope people keep waking up to what’s really happening.
Amen! Emotional outrage is so detrimental to your mind and body! I’ve always wanted to tell these “ victimized” ppl that most of what you are raging against is not happening……it must be so tiring to have to guard your “ victimization “ 24/7 365 days of the year!
Isn't it just insane when you look at it from a 30,000 foot view? This idea that our entire value and worth in society should be entirely dictated by how much melanin is in our skin? Yet if someone was to say "You can't have an opinion because you' don't have any freckles" or "because you're too tall" society would think that person is insane. Growing up I had great friends of all different races, yet none of us cared. I find it so sad, b/c MLK handed us all the wisdom we need.
I got tired of hearing people LITERALLY argue over who had it worse! Like we're fighting over who is more oppressed like it's a prize to win...and then what?!?!?! We can sit and talk about the past FOREVER. I started to realize that I don't want to have a yesterday mentality...I'm trying to have a today and tomorrow!
Truth be told, the Chinese have had it the worst. Their nation has constantly gone through cycles of tyranny, civil war, and collapse for thousands of years. Hundreds of millions of people starved to death during Mao’s “Great Leap Forward”, the millions of babies that died due to the ‘one child’ policy, and now the Covid city-wide lockdowns… modern China is one of the most oppressive regimes around. The Chinese people have had it rough.
The first time I experienced this was when my chronic illnesses came to light and started me down the slippery slope toward becoming too disabled to work. I joined online communities related to my diagnoses and followed Instagram accounts of people like me. It was jarring the first time I had to wear a neck brace for a spinal instability and I expressed how it was uncomfortable… only to have someone else tell me that at least it wasn’t a full-body brace like she had to wear. I like to think that she was trying to help me appreciate my blessings, but it felt like a slap in the face. I harbored insecurities regarding whether or not my diagnoses were all in my head due to a history of not being believed by doctors or my coworkers (who were nurses!) for years and the fact that the nature of my (still not terribly well known) medical conditions is that symptoms and their manifestation/occurrence are very unpredictable. If I had any good day, or even good couple of hours, I would convince myself that it was all in my head or that I was overly dramatic since other people online had it so much worse than me. It has taken time and effort to change my mindset and I still have to struggle with it at times. No one really wins in a competition related to disability: if you “lose”, you feel bad for making a fuss when others have it worse; if you “win” you might get an initial satisfaction for proving yourself more disabled, but then there has to be the letdown when it hits how very disabled you are. Just another kind of Victim Olympics; there’s just way to win, no matter where you land on the Victim Hierarchy. Everyone ends up feeling bad about themselves.
Love your perspective! My husband and I are older generation conservatives. When our daughters got swept up in liberal thinking, it was hard to show them the cognitive dissonance of we are "wrong" because we judge people (as conservatives) but they are "right" (as they sit there and judge us.) As they've grown and had children of their own, they've mostly swung back towards the middle. And I think that's another point, everything in moderation. If you lean too far, you're going to fall over. There are angry people on the far right, as well.
“Hate is too great a burden to bear“. Martin Luther King. But they wouldn’t want to quote him, because he’s a Reverend, a Christian, so they can’t honor that.
As a mother of teenagers, I have tried so hard to raise my kids to think for themselves but online social networks, not just media but gaming as well, is so difficult to counteract. Victim mentality is so prevalent and difficult to overcome. I pray a lot.
It's not enough for only parents to teach their kids about critical thinking, it must be implemented into the education system as well. Education system won't do it though cause they don't want kids to become independant thinkers and see thorough the politicians bullshit
My kids will never have a smart phone until they are out of the house. Their internet access in our house will be strictly moderated. Go out and play, read a book, play games/video games (offline). Hopefully by then, they will realize that everyone has an angle in their arguments.
What if you tried to indoctrinate them into thinking like you, but you failed and you disagree with them, and you don't understand how ideas are spread and how they shape our reality?
I absolutely love this channel. It's difficult to be a young republican in a generation full of leftist. And that isn't meant to be hate. It's just hard to relate to others must of the time. So I appreciate having this channel
Sounds like you have a bright future 👏 not because you’re “not a leftist” but because you’re willing to think for yourself, despite tremendous social pressure. I believe time will serve you well.
Same lol, I live in a pretty conservative state in a liberal area and I have a view in each area. I think everyone should just chill and stop building up another civil war.
I've always been centre left leaning, politically speaking. But in the last 5-8 years l began to ask myself if I'm becoming more conservative, despite my views being relatively unchanged. That's how insane the far left have become.
The definition of "racist" changed too. It used to be if you didn't see color you were NOT racist. Today in order to not be racist, you have to be all about race.
Same for me. I also felt like I woke up one day and my left self didn't match up at all with left ideology any more. Of course I exaggerate that it happened that quickly but in the grand scheme of things it really did happen fast. Over the last 7-10 years, liberalism/leftism has become unrecognizable to me and not only that I don't like what it's become. My ideas and values haven't changed at all, society just redefined what liberal/left meant.
@@MarcusDude4179 You know something is croocked when rules change mid-game. I never give any credit to ppls who change meaning and rules on the fly (nor like anything that sounds like a double-standard)
I made the mistake of falling down the "WOKE" rabbit hole about a month ago, just out of morbid curiosity & my youtube algorithm totally changed to nothing but "WOKE" ideology content! True enough, it actually began to make me angry allot more than usual. I was starting to think about the negativity that I was seeing, even when I wasn't online & it was actually beginning to affect me mentally! I'm really thankful that I caught that one quickly & reset my algorithm back to normal! I think that "Chronically online syndrome" is very real...
So funnily enough, we’re on opposite sides of the spectrum here but I’m more left leaning, got curious and watched one or two of these videos. @@AllThingsFiction614 Yeah, cat videos are a much safer option & at least it's uplifting. I'm neither right nor left, as I'm old enough to know that they're both two wings on the same bird. Amala I really enjoy your content! When I was in my 20s (millennial here) and didn't care about politics I would always support democrats. Once I grew up a bit and started to really listen and pay attention to politics I changed parties. I realized I was completely clueless before. I think it's very common to start out as a liberal then switch to a conservative as you mature and become wiser in life. You are a breath of fresh air for your generation!
There's that old saying; if you're not a progressive in your 20's you have no heart/conscious and if you're not conservative in your 40's, you have no brain.
I think is it common too. The same happened to me. Didn’t Thomas Sowell say that if you are not on the left on your twenties you don’t have a heart and if you are not a conservative by your thirties you do not have a brain!? Hehehe
You Are SO RIGHT‼️‼️ I was leaning to left until last year when I realized that I was totally wrong ‼️ so I educated myself and it took a while to shift my mindset but im here and im no longer going back to where I was💖
The word "repent" actually means to "change your mind" which results in a change of direction. It is the hardest thing to do cause it means admitting to yourself that you were wrong, usually about things you (and I'm speaking collectively) based your life around. It takes alot of humility cause you're in essence admitting you were duped! Deceived. None of us likes to admit that. But when we do, we open the door for truth to enter in and take hold, which is always a good thing. I have had two major times of repentance and many, many smaller areas. Hats off to you for being open to correction and change. Too many people seem to be so stiff-necked that nothing will convince them of their delusion.
Amen, the same time I realized that too all the paths I took not just led to coming out of the left-side blindly but also meeting the actual way, the truth, and the life to the Father: Jesus Christ. God bless you all, I pray more people wake up from the matrix and finally get red-pilled, it's not too late to REPENT!!! Out of that strange rabbit hole lies the truth and a peace that surpasses all understanding. That sack of nothing satan got his hand in everything there, unfortunately, deceiving like never before---Ephesian 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
I cannot imagine being angry and yelling every day. I think I raise my voice maybe once or twice a year. They are feeding their own unending stress - loop.

I love how the girl in the red shirt zoomed in on the problem with social media algorithms. Once you have shown you are mad about any issue "ie: police violence" the social media frameworks will feed you an endless stream of examples that reinforce your anger.
My former best friend was a lefty I am more conservative. I remember a conversation about seeing guys our age with their shit together and doing better than us. I said, makes me wish I took math and accounting more serious and didn’t blow money on junk and he got very offended and said the only reason they have that is because they grew up rich, it’s them that I knew perspectives of left vs right are very different
The left is angry because the right is installing puppet politicians who only care about enforcing corporate interests and instituting a theocratic government no different from what we see in middle eastern third world countries. And the right ended free school lunches, so now I need to deal with a hangry kid all day. And the right drives up the national debt every time they're in power, and then complains about how high the debt is when they aren't in power. Then there's also the right wing politicians making laws about medicine and technology they have so little understanding of that they turn into meme fodder when they talk about it. And there's fox news, who we know from their text messages hates the right more than the left does.
Yeah I’ve had similar conversations with people leaning left and it’s crazy how my more conservative perspective is so fundamentally different. Similar to you where you hold yourself accountable, and critique where you could have improved while the other mindset is figuring out a way to shirk the faults and flaws and make yourself a victim at all costs, just so that you don’t have to acknowledge where you went wrong.
I grew up in a house with no electricity, and gravity fed running water. We had to chop wood by hand or freeze in the winter. I was the poorest person I knew, far poorer than the welfare kids. But my dad went to work everyday and wouldn't take handouts. He had health setbacks that kept him from getting ahead. When he was good, I learned that hard work did pay off. I put myself thru college, ignoring the cries from everyone that I couldn't afford it, I just figured it out on the fly (as I was a kid) and where there is a will there is a way. I had faith that it would work out, and it did. Now I'm solidly upper middle class, and the number of people that think I grew up as a wealthy white kid is insane. Everyone has a different story.
I was never a leftist, but I have also noticed how angry they are in general. Don't get me wrong: there's a time and a place for "righteous fury," but being mad at everything at all times reeks of poor personal choices that you blame _others_ for.
hate feed emotion, emotions supresses logical thinking. a lack of logical thinking makes a person miserable because they know deep down that there believes are contradictions. making your identity out of a dogma limits a personne as an individual, they only live part of there life and must know there is a part of themselfe they supress.
Does anyone else find it very peculiar that the guy in this video said that “maybe the Jews are onto something with the Sabbath,” as if Christians haven’t had a Sabbath day since the beginning of the country??
@@anti-ethniccleansing465 Not really; Jews practiced the Sabbath _first,_ and not all Christians adhere to it nowadays. In our family (we're Christians), we actually have _our_ Sabbath on _Saturday_ as well, b/c on Sunday, we're often going to church and sometimes visiting others (which for _me_ at least is not "restful").
I was originally a centrist who was pushed to the right by the woke mob. During the BLM protests I can remember being very neutral and was happy enough to admit that I didn’t really care. Then I saw the whole “silence is violence” thing for the first time and it for whatever reason sparked a feeling of anger in me, having people yell down my throat that I need to be fighting and that I’m a bad person for not was horrible. The more and more I got angry the more and more I found myself trying my hardest to disagree with the left on everything - I tried to become conservative (and succeeded over time). I was a very angry and annoyed rightist who got sucked into the “culture war”. I slowly began consuming only right wing media and blocked left wing channels. I would constantly get into fights in comments sections if any leftists decided to intrude on my little echo chamber and it made me very unhappy. I could feel something was wrong but was too emotionally consumed to do anything about it, I felt a disturbingly strong connection to the right wingers I would listen to online. This hatred i harboured slowly lead to depression and terrible anxiety but I was too proud and angry to not speak up about my beliefs and at the same time terrified that I might be wrong on some things. My thoughts were incredibly disorganised so I decided to start writing in a journal to try and make it easier for me to do mental gymnastics to make sure that all my political conclusions were right wing. I filled that journal within about a month, all day I would be stuck in my own head thinking about politics. I realised at this point that I’d completely lost it and needed to change. Thankfully, I’m on the road to recovery and am beginning to go back to my older healthier attitudes. I’ve found that I’ve embraced some of the ideas that I so adamantly wanted to not believe in (because I found the people that did believe in them insufferable) but I’m happier for it - it doesn’t mean that I’m just as insufferable as they are. Moral of this story is that politics is bullshit and anyone can be sucked into this polarisation, right or left wing, and can be made very unhappy by it. My advice: just focus on the things that you love and make sure that you’re happy, everyone else is secondary. You can only make a true difference if you yourself are content with your life. “Clean your room” as Jordan Peterson would say 🤣🤣
Oh my! You just told MY story lol! I really lost it too! TH-cam kept feeding me more and more of what I clicked on (which was right of centre because I too was repelled by the left’s intolerance and in your face judgment and hypocrisy! I don’t want to be out of the political loop but I sure can’t stand the intolerance (my own too) of the two sides!
I used to think, "what right do I have to be comfortable or happy when there are people out there suffering" and other leftists would encourage this severe depression in me as if it were a good thing. As if me being miserable somehow helped. I was just adding more misery into the world. I couldn't see how I could deserve any happiness with all this supposed injustice around me and was constantly guilted about my "privileges."
As a 62 year old white guy you and people your age are giving me some encouragement that people your age are seeing the down side of liberal dogma beliefs, I get a little down on American people who believe so much what liberals say all of the time. I love seeing your videos and am very glad you were able to educate yourself thank you for doing these videos.
I’m a classic liberal and I really appreciate the empathy on your part. Cognitive dissonance in general is so powerful now for anybody, not just the left. If someone is proven wrong they need to defend instead of grow. It’s so easy now with the internet to find one source, no matter how biased, that agrees with what youre saying
As someone who currently votes liberal, I can agree that it is very overwhelming with all of the injustice ideologies is exhausting. I am seeking out listening to other people who have differing opinions or political views while challenging my own thoughts to make my own opinions. Basically I am starting my own journey to develop my own views on the world. You're videos are helpful!
Glad to see you making this journey. Amala is a great resource as well as Officer Tatum, Candace Owens, Larry Elder and others who use to be in the same position as you.
The biggest part of growing up is realizing and accepting that you’re probably wrong about a lot of the things you believe in and what you believe to be true. If you haven’t done any real research into the things you believe, there’s a good chance that don’t completely know what you’re talking about or you could be completely wrong. In order to really grow and move forward in your life, you must be opened minded and teachable.
Totally agree. I have definitely learned a lot and gained perspective over the years. I remember as a teenager thinking my parents were old fashioned and I knew so much better than them. (Spouting things I heard from teachers or on TV) Now that I'm in my 40's and have raised and am raising children of my own, I have come full circle and realize they were right about a lot of things.
I had a psychology teacher once tell our class in the early 2000’s that people don’t and shouldn’t care very much about people they don’t know because it’s too much of a burden on you psychologically speaking. With social media we get to “know” people and start to care about them. Now multiply that by how many influencers and what not people follow and think they know. It’s too much. If you’re gonna make a difference work locally with people you know in real life on issues that are important to you that actually make an impact on your daily life.
Amen!! It’s so true why let some random people get you all pissed off only to never interact with that same person ever again. That’s pretty fd up when you think about it.
My brother is a leftists and is a super triggered type person, so is my bi racial niece , I’ve notice light skinned people are the most extreme cause it seems, they have to proof themselves, my brother wasn’t raised to be a radical, but he has a life long career in college as a professor, my relationship gotten so bad , he stayed so angry for years over one statement, you can’t say one word against liberalism
You're not wrong, but your thinking is flawed. White Americans have been trained to see themselves as the villains of history. We're evil for sailing across the ocean. We're evil for expanding. We're evil for doing what every other people has done across history ever. And what's worse, is despite being the cultures that brought anti-slavery, environmentalism, the idea that we can improve instead of just take...? None of that matters because how much damage have your people done to get there, you plastic inventing freaks. Seriously, everyone attacks you if you're white, even fellow whites, just for being white. It's almost as if that's the human norm, attacking each other like animals because we're not perfect, when perfection or admitting improvement would just invite more people trying to hate.
Tell your brother that we on the right are the real liberals, by definition. One thing I love to do is trigger people I know are hard left democrats who hate everything right of center. Watching them explode is funny. Maybe that is why we conservatives have so much fun in life.
Like they say not black enough to be black not white enough to be white - sad but it is true - I cannot imagine what biracial kids go thru with all this going on today - hopefully they will find their way - like a lot of the rest of us - with age comes wisdom - 🤟❤️
I see a lot of similarity between the extreme left and religious fundamentalists. No room for disagreement, adding scripture to random events aren't questioned, personal beliefs are always at the forefront of any discussion whether the subject pertains to said beliefs or not.
The thing about emotions is that they cloud your critical thinking. All of them do. Fear, sorrow, anger, shock, even joy- all reduce your logical processing. Floods the brain with signals, can't get any work done. That's why stoicism is important. It's not about being cruel or indifferent, it's about staying in the mindset that allows you to do something constructive rather than destructive.
@@alissavandress7523 That's one of the parts about Stoicism that generally does get misrepresented. It's not about putting off or discarding emotions, it's more a discipline of maintaining your self control to such a degree that your emotions CAN'T unbalance your logic. Put simply, it's a mentality that firmly plants your logic at the helm of the ship, always and without failure, but does not drown out your emotions with pure logic
I am so glad that I failed at becoming a TH-camr a few years ago because I whole heartedly believe that it would have been a platform for a toxic mentality that was developing due to my extreme exposure to leftist ideas to be screamed to other people. As someone who was left leaning but not a leftist, and is now more right leaning or possibly even politically homeless, I am far happier than I was
Thank you for explaining my 26 year-old daughter to me. This is the fact of her woke life. She is indeed miserable, and there is (sadly) no need for it.
I'm 65 and I remember being very restricted by being female. I've been a longhaul trucker for 23yrs and it used to be awfull! Things are sooo different now, young women have NO idea. Nowadays I can do anything I want and no one bats an eye 😁. Life is way too short to hold grudges or be angry. If you're not careful one day you wake up old and you realize you've wasted your one turn on this earth. I choose happy .
I work in Logistics and you know what, the best Truckdriver i ever saw was a Woman. It was impressive how clean the dockon was. No reseting or trying again, not even once.
One additional contributor to the anger I felt when I was a leftist was that I would inform and educate friends and family about injustice in the world and they would appear to be apathetic. I knew they felt disempowered in general about such large issues (as I did) but I felt frustrated when their response was to just shrug and move on with their lives. I felt like I had to be angrier and more passionate about the issues to counter the apathy I saw all around me. It was a burden that both exhausted and depressed me, but also was where I sought meaning and where I felt I was able to obtain "virtue" for myself by having the right attitude where others' attitudes were wrong. It forced me to constantly be judgmental toward people that I love.
Well said! That's exactly how I felt when I was an angry young punk rocker. I complained about the injustice found in everything and was frustrated when others weren't as passionate about the issues. To be honest, though, it hasn't gone away entirely because I sometimes still get frustrated when trying to educate friends and family about the clown world we're living in now.
@@sfdoomed Yeah, my perspective has shifted about the relative severity and importance of certain things. I've not abandoned caring about injustice, but I see now more clearly the dangers that lie buried within certain radical approaches to change. Those risks FAR outweigh the negative effects of most current injustices. I'm much less idealistic in general. Age has taught me that there are pros and cons to everything in life, and you sometimes have to choose the lesser of two evils, and then just do what is within your power to lessen the evil you chose. I used to think that conservatives harping on "individual responsibility" was ignorant and apathetic to our collective responsibilities to each other. I now realize that this is just a pragmatic approach that recognizes that if we each look to our individual responsibility (to have integrity and build good habits, for example, or to be industrious), then that will generate the best collective outcome possible. Advocating this approach to life, and mentoring others like you, is far more effective in many cases than being an activist. It is not lost on me that this perspective might be the result of being a parent, so focusing on caring for my family and teaching my son to be a good man is my natural priority. Young adults often feel economically disempowered and are less focused on creating healthy families in the immediate sense, until they begin marriage/parenting, so they turn their passion toward activism for certain causes. They are told what those causes should be, and often this is manipulative and based on a biased understanding of history.
@@WeartheGoodSocks I did take actions that (I hope) impacted people's lives. I was not a "woke SJW" in the sense that many are today and the far left was much less toxic and less focused on identity politics then. I genuinely cared about people who were hurting, being taken advantage of, or who were not getting a "fair shake". That said, you are right in that my attitudes towards others who didn't share my passion, and the affect those attitudes had on me didn't do anyone any good.
I fully relate to this video, over the years my wife has gone full crazed leftist. I experience the same anger and dissallusionment from her that is explained in this video. Her worldview is patently fatalistic and I feel like I can never say something or even suggest a thought that might trigger her cognitive dissonance. It's like living in a thought prison, and you wouldn't believe the type of gymnastics necessary to make the relationship work.
It’s only going to get worse mate, I’ve been through it. Tried for years but it’s doomed to fail if she doesn’t change. Maybe try to get out if you can. Good luck
Hang in there man, just drop those small truth bombs here and there, eventually most people make it out alive.. they just have to do themselves, try using the recent push for pedophiles and MAPPS, sure as a mother this will break her out a little bit.
Sorry to hear that. I am going through this with my boyfriend, as well. It feels like you are living with a stranger when they call you racist because you hear a headline and want to know more. Now we just avoid talking about everything. It's easy for people to say "well just get out, just leave" but this is a person you fell in love with. It's not that easy, but I don't know how to turn it around, either.
Omg I cannot imagine being married to a leftist - I'm praying for you my friend! Hopefully with some helpful guiding - you can maybe help her see the err of her ways and thought processes - stay strong my friend- it's doable- my husband is the one who redpilled me- so it is achievable - 🤟
They literally didn't say anything Everything they said can easily be applied to "the right" But Amala, without evidence or specific- Hell, ANY examples.. Just "felt it was more elevated on the left" Okay .. 🙄
I am a 30 yr old White Male who considers myself an "Independent" who yet views the "Right" as the lesser of 2 evils. Yet, I acknowledge that both sides have problems/suck. As for "Being Angry" that isn't a purely Leftist thing. I'm angry about a lot of things as well, and despise a large portion of the population because they are part of the problems in society.
MC85...This is one of, if not THE best video I have heard from her and really from anyone. It explains so much how the Left gets so angry and screwed up. Of course I get angry to, at THEM for what they have done and are doing to all the various systems of country. We really are in a mess but thank goodness for people like her who are countering the Left's narrative!!
I've always seen it's anger-oriented. Young people are _encouraged_ to be angry. Angry people are easy to mobilize. And you make your least thoughtful decisions while angry (part of why you're easier to mobilize). I saw it throughout college and beyond.
@@antihero105 , hundreds of hours of surveillance camera footage from that day has shown the officiaI story to be a complete LlE. The media showed the public what they wanted them to see to push an anti-conservative agenda, and kept the rest of the footage hidden until recently. Capitol police were literally escorting people around, and unlocking doors for them to enter areas. It seems there were a lot of infiltrators from the Fßl and Ant!fa who were disguised as conservatives, who escalated the events of that day. The entirety of the footage paints an entirely different story than what the media portrayed. Tucker CarIson did a whole segment showing the actual footage. Where have you been? Under a rock? As a conservative myself, I can say we’re typically a segment of society who is the least likely to participate in any kind of vioIence, because it violates our core values. Many of us are Christians, and if you’re a Bible believing Christian, you’re especially against doing harm to others. I say Bible believing because there’s a difference between people who adhere to the principles of the gospel of peace according to the scriptures, and those who don’t even know what the scriptures say. Christians have been falsely accused of promoting harm against those who aren’t of our faith because of the ßloodshed caused by the CathoIic Church in the papal lnquisition, in which a great majority of the millions who were wiped out by the papal command were Bible believers who refused to convert to the pagan Catholic religion because it’s NOT in alignment with what the scriptures say. The Church of Rome has greatly besmirched the name of Jesus Christ because of its antichrist doctrine and vioIence against anyone who refused to bow to the unholy papacy. The scriptures actually say that if we share the gospel of Jesus Christ with someone who will not receive it, that we’re supposed to walk away from them and shake the dust from our shoes. We’re instructed to pray for them, but in no way does Jesus Christ ever want us to try to convert anyone to Him by force. Scripture makes it clear that we’re not even able to convert anyone to faith in Christ unless the Holy Spirit intervenes first, and Jesus says we have no control over where the Holy Spirit goes, John 3. That means the fact that the Church of Rome slaughtered people who refused to convert to CathoIicism, it shows the papacy was acting upon his own will and NOT the will of Jesus Christ. But, of course, the papacy does claim to be Jesus Christ on earth, the Vicar of Christ, so the Pope thinks he’s God on the earth, and that alone shows how dem0nic he is. CathoIicism is not called Christianity because it’s antithetical to true biblical Christianity. All the CathoIic Catechisms are opposed to what the scriptures say, because it’s not true biblical Christianity. We live in a time of great deception, so you would be wise not to believe everything you see on the news. In fact, the level of deception is exactly what Christ said it would be just before He returns. Technology advancements have made it so easy for the powers that be to present a false narrative as truth. It’s so easy to portray a Iie as truth when you control what the public sees, and you withhold everything that shows your false narrative is a Iie, like they did with the actual footage from the events of that particular day you referred to. They do it all the time. Just like with the George FIoyd crap, where they withheld the body cam footage of him saying he couldn’t ßreathe long before he was ever put on the ground. He was saying it from the moment the officers arrived, and I reckon he was having trouble ßreathing since he had overdosed on drugs that depress the central nervous system, thereby depressing his respiratory system, and he was in desperate need of Narcan to stop the overdose. But how many people actually know about that body cam footage that they suppressed, which showed the true story? I guarantee it’s not many, because most people are too lazy to actually seek out the truth. It’s more convenient to just believe the Iies.
@@antihero105 yea, I saw them. Ushered through opened doors, walking between the ropes, taking photos, cleaning up as they went. Yes there were some provocateurs amongst the people encouraging damage, and they should have been arrested but were not. And the one person killed/murdered at point blank pistol range was a republican lady that was a bit pushy, maybe should have been arrested instead of murdered. And the guy that pulled the trigger, covered up, no one knows who it was.
It’s always easy to manipulate and control anger; it’s easy to direct anger because rational logical thought is thrown out the door. We have tons of historic examples of the ruling class using anger to further their motives. USSR “HATE THE KULAKS” Nazi Germany “BLAME THE JEWS!” Confederate America “YANKEES WANNA STEAL YOUR LAND” The Irish Troubles “THESE OTHER IRISH PEOPLE WANT TO DESTROY YOUR RELIGION!” So on and so on. History is littered with evil people galvanizing hatred and anger, even if that hatred and anger isn’t aligned exactly with theirs.
Whenever someone says "you can't talk about X because you're not in that group/have that experience" I ask them how they can pretend to care about them if they cannot must up enough empathy to put yourself in their shoes long enough to have an idea of what that experience is.
What you’re saying is spot on and I think a lot of us identify with this but we’re afraid to speak up and are shamed into silence as soon as we open our mouths. Nobody wants to be labeled as racist, homophobic, transphobic, misogynist, or a privileged jerk so we’re willing to go a long way to avoid these labels. Then I realized that the angriest of the leftists are going to call me all these things anyway, regardless of what I say or do, and with that realization the fear of speaking my opinion disappeared -and I regained my freedom to just be me. Once you’re comfortable being called anything, you can no longer be manipulated!
I used to be far right youngster in early 2000s bouncing between Iraq and Afghanistan. Quickly grew up and realized that neither extreme is correct. So happy that young folks like you are waking up to reality. Makes you irresistibly attractive, regardless of your jaw dropping beauty
Whenever I confronted my sister with opposing views, she asked me to stop arguing with her or that she can't mentally handle a debate at that moment. My discussion with her online was never in a combative way, most of it was just asking her questions.
I think it’s commendable she was able to say she couldn’t mentally handle that. That’s better than exploding on someone so it shouldn’t be judged that she turned that down. Debating can be mentally toxic.
Justified self-righteousness, regardless of its political leanings, is addictive. When we think we are on the moral high ground, and everyone around us is either cheering us on or antagonistic towards us, it’s easy to feed off that energy, playing more and more to the cheers and seeing the antagonists as existential dangers to our cause.
Yes. People on the right can be majorly self-righteous as well. I’m politically homeless now. Best to listen to those who are moderate/freethinkers because they aren’t into the groupthink.
@aquarius1986 I don't see your point. Self-righteous people exist everywhere. As do mentally ill and physically ill. Your comment doesn't tie into anything.
@@aquarius1986 Exactly! Too many conservatives on social media are saying literally the exact same talking points! And I don't know about you, but when I was young, I would get frustrated, skeptical, and defiant when something was repeated too much. It didn't matter whether I would read right or left narratives; the constant repetition of the SAME old talking points got me questioning things more and more. Always the same statistics, the same rote numbers with the same cliche emotional pleas. Give me a break. I had enough and realized I didn't have to buy into either of those narratives if my thinkings weren't leading me there. And YES! I feel the exact same way--politically homeless because I just don't find myself in either the textbook Republican/Democrat or conservative/liberal box.
@@davida7399 I was replying to the original poster who commented saying there can be self-righteousness on both sides and it's addictive. I was agreeing with him. That was all. A lot of conservatives get into a mindset that only liberals are "too emotional" but I have Republican family who are extremely angry, judgemental and self-righteous. I see this in many conservative commentators. Anyone who doesn't agree is "going to Hell" essentially. This is a human thing, not right vs. left. You just reiterated what I said in my comment and then said my comment "doesn't tie into anything" and that I have "no point." Hmmmm. Clearly you did see my point.
@aquarius1986 Sounds like I misunderstood you. I agree. Most of my world is made up of right wingers. Many of them don't care to understand the issues but get triggered easily. Some took offense when I told them the numbers are very bad for Trump for 2020, to the point where he's a long shot to win. if you look closely, the extremes of the right are less than 10%. Maybe less than 5%. They're loud and crazy, and their numbers seem 10X what they are. They're scary. I don't know how they managed to white wash the Jan 6th insurrection. But those people belong in a nut house. But, on the left It's become a contagion. Many mild, rational people get triggered by a history lesson of how bad the Jim Crow era was and how today, a potentially racistc thought, is treated like a lynching. The left convinced themselves that black youth are shot daily by white cops and all women are sexually harassed non-stop. While parasites make money off them. Thomas Sowell was the first to explain how black and feminist leaders exploit their people for profit. He was sounding that alarm in the 80s. Today, social networks reward these race baiters for clicks and reads. The religion of victimhood leads people to think they're on a crusade. The right has changed, too. But, once you get past the trailer park nut jobs and unemployed, most Republicans have been too busy to care. #MeToo was a problem until companies cut back at hiring and promoting women to protect their employees. Now it's just a whisper among far leftists. The moderate right has been triggered by the hyperbole and invectives. This is why the backlash to this Woke period is going to be harsh. The power in this country is in the hands of the same white men the Woke villify. And, after a while, it gets annoying. This Woke nonsense had been ignored up until recently. But, the illness on the left has become a problem. We're on the edge of economic insolvency. I don't understand what Soros has against the country this wonderful country that took him in and gave him such rich opportunity that he's fostering anarchy and destruction. I was an infant when we came to this country from Moscow. It's been a dream. These leftists are practicing MacCarthyism. Freedom of speech is the first amendment for a reason. In a couple of years, Woke will be another 4 letter word like Nazi, whispered in dark corners.
I am 55 and have made the change from left to right - but i am just as angry now as then, seeing injustices every day, just from the opposite viewpoint.
I have a really good friend who went to the left (personally as much as I love him as a friend, I'm pretty sure his shift to the left was more out of rebellion against his parents and their values, and he's almost 40). One of the most common phrases he would say about news was "this makes me irrationally angry." When I pointed out that his anger is, as he puts it, irrational and isn't based on the facts of the news, he stopped saying it but didn't stop getting irrationally angry about things. The left preys on peoples emotions.
72 year old man here The leftist mania disturbs me greatly but i do have sincere hope for the future world my grandchildren are growing into. Hearing the wisdom and insightful intelligence you bring foreword inspires me. You brought me renewed faith that all such thinking is not true. There are many wonderful and inspiring voices speaking enlightening truth. your names are on that list!
All that cognitive dissonance will grind anyone down. The main problem is that everything they suggest fails to yield useful results and in most cases has a worse outcome overall than doing nothing. I'd be angry too if I were wrong about everything.
It has got to be exhausting being that angry all the time. I have anger problems, and it often gives me anxiety and it’s exhausting! Every waking moment I’m exhausted whenever I’m so upset. Especially about an issue that’s not an issue at all.

Young people have an urge to want to change the world because when you find out how evil it can be naturally the first instinct is to fight that evil. It’s a heroic act, but if you’re going to change the world you better know what you’re doing. A lot of these young people just have no clue, and that’s evident when you ask them to elaborate or if you challenge their points.

As a former leftist, I completely understand the emotional charge.
@@voltinator that makes more sense, thanks!

Me too
Same!!
Wow, you are so right about this!

That's usually how it works. Few have the courage to face them and actually walk out.

Perfectly put, Devon.
Congratulations for having the courage to see through the indoctrination, Devon!
I'm a white male. Never felt guilt. My family came from poor share croppers. I have nothing to be ashamed about.
White people fought a civil war to free slaves...
How much more can white people do. We have done more than enough.
You aren't guilty. No SWM today, including you and I, are guilty.
Why was she even in basic training? More importantly, what happened next?
@@K05H Yeah, I don't know why she didn't know how basic training was supposed to work. I don't remember if she ever completed it. She got sick from drinking out of a contaminated canteen, (at least that's the story I heard), and we continued without her. I don't know if she ever graduated.
Maybe she thought people would be "nicer" to her or take it easier on her simply bc she's a girl?? That's a bs mentality to have in the military!
Sheeeeet youngin, I went thru basic in 1988. She'd have deserted or hung herself. And it was worse than that in the 60s and 70s.
Someone like that should not be in the service. You have to learn to keep working under fire.
Well said!
OR you could have chosen to throw your kids into the sacrificial pit, and you and your wife dance around and chant the spells "everyone owes me something".

Not dating midgets... Wouldn't that be "small-phobic"? Since they don't have height 🤣

Tbf, all sides of US American politics seem pretty angry
“If you’re not angry, you’re not paying attention.” it’s literally a slogan.

We could say that about them. If we aren't angry about the lefts' psychotics destroying our lives and culture then we aren't paying attention. Truth be told, the Chinese have had it the worst.
Their nation has constantly gone through cycles of tyranny, civil war, and collapse for thousands of years.

I love how the girl in the red shirt zoomed in on the problem with social media algorithms. Once you have shown you are mad about any issue "ie: police violence" the social media frameworks will feed you an endless stream of examples that reinforce your anger.
The fact that this channel is produced by PragerU is a massive red flag its controlled opposition
I think the most interesting thing is, is that both can be true.
Actually statistics say that indeed being born rich takes over getting rich
People need grace, empathy, compassion and kindness. Every day share these things and give yourself and others space to grow.

I feel like I could have written this!
I have to say that your comment was important. It describes my journey into being conservative. And you quoted JP?!?! Yeah I have cleaned my room.
Yesss.. This.
I identify with this feeling. It robs us of thankfulness, which is a very destructive thing to do.
If was an actual "classic liberal" I would likely be a registered independent, given the current political landscape.
And hang onto it like it’s the holy grail and never under any circumstances step off that hill even if new evidence can contradict it lol
Cognitive dissonance destroyed my family.
As someone who currently votes liberal, I can agree that it is very overwhelming with all of the injustice ideologies is exhausting.
(Spouting things I heard from teachers or on TV)
Now that I'm in my 40's and have raised and am raising children of my own, I have come full circle and realize they were right about a lot of things.
Don't forget that the people who run these platforms don't allow their own children to be exposed to it because they know how harmful it is.
True, all changes start at the local level. Take care of your community first.

As someone who was left leaning but not a leftist, and is now more right leaning or possibly even politically homeless, I am far happier than I was
Politically homeless! That is such a perfect description of where a whole lot of us are. 😂

And it sounds like it didn't actually contribute anything substantive to the causes you care about either.
@@WeartheGoodSocks I did take actions that (I hope) impacted people's lives. That said, you are right in that my attitudes towards others who didn't share my passion, and the affect those attitudes had on me didn't do anyone any good.

If she cannot or won't change, it might be wise to separate from her to save your own sanity.

The right literally stormed the capital building lol

It’s always easy to manipulate and control anger; it’s easy to direct anger because rational logical thought is thrown out the door. We have tons of historic examples of the ruling class using anger to further their motives.
USSR “HATE THE KULAKS”
Nazi Germany “BLAME THE JEWS!”
Confederate America “YANKEES WANNA STEAL YOUR LAND”
The Irish Troubles “THESE OTHER IRISH PEOPLE WANT TO DESTROY YOUR RELIGION!”
So on and so on.

@aquarius1986
Sounds like I misunderstood you.

The left is mostly low iq group think morons with no logical ability or philosophical insight.
72 year old man here
The leftist mania disturbs me greatly but i do have sincere hope for the future world my grandchildren are growing into. Hearing the wisdom and insightful intelligence you bring foreword inspires me. Everything is going to be okay!
5 thousand years ago in Greece a man named Hesiod wrote about how the youth of his time were thought to be weak and disappointing to the elders of his day.
So many young people need to hear this
It has got to be exhausting being that angry all the time.
I have anger problems, and it often gives me anxiety and it’s exhausting! Every waking moment I’m exhausted whenever I’m so upset. Especially about an issue that’s not an issue at all.
I am righteously angry all of the time for very different reasons.
I feel ya there. Ever since I had my kid I find myself quick to anger and it is exhausting
The one thing you forgot was an entitlement complex. "Marginalized" people believe they are entitled to compensation, recognition, privileges etc.
they expect more thanks to this notion of being considered of a "protected" class.
@@residentgrey exactly. Everyone should be protected equally under the law.
@@justjamie7577 they can go on and create the law but they keep crying to the assholes who have been doing nothing and continue to. They can usurp the useless eater politicians by making the waves they need to make.
Yep
I went through a mad and depressed phase. Then I grew out of adolescence.
The right is literally crying about Bud Light and bathrooms, taxes, the border, rigged elections, Mr Potato Head, Dr Seuss, gun control, CRT..
When *isn't* the right playing the victim card??
this is so true i turned 19 and just realized i was wasting my life and energy on nothing
This hits the nail on the head. It needs to go viral.
