The T474 is definitely a larger frame tractor than the 2515....might be a bit too big for what we need, but it does come with a cab at a reasonable price. I can see why the 2515 is a popular model.....I wish it was a little bigger in frame size. I would like to use a 4815 with a cab to evaluate it fully! Thanks for watching.

Really nice synopsis on this TYM 2515. You get a lot of bang for the buck. As a Kubota owner, I say Kubota start sharpening your pencil because this is a serious competition with crazy lift numbers in the compact size. Thanks for sharing, others are saying close to the same thing. Im liking TYM.
I have an LS XR3140 cab tractor. I paid 29500 with 3rd function and filled tires. The Kubota L4060, with less specs, would have been 43000 and then extra for 3rd function and loaded tires. Kubota and Deere are priced way to high IMO for an average person. I wanted a cab tractor and simply could not afford Kubota or Deere. There are no TYM dealers near me at all or I would have looked at them as well.
I still have my L2501 and like it. When the time came to step up in capability I started the shopping process from the beginning again but with a Kubota preference. I bought a T474HC. When I outfitted the Kubota with the same equipment that is standard on the TYM the price was about 20k more. TYM is by far the best value of any brand in my local area and we have them all. I still really like my Kubota but if I ever shop again I’ll start with TYM barring any future problems. If you’re shopping you’re hurting yourself if you don’t at least look at TYM. I really enjoy your videos.
My 2021 2515h has about 425 hours. It's been perfect thus far. I did have to replace a connector bolt on the joystick. I looked at the Kubota 2501 but really didn't like the weird pedal and the additional cost. I've cleared about 5 hard acres with it, lots of yaupon and pines. The grapple has been worth every penny as I've had to cut about 80 big pine trees and move a lot of logs in preparation for building our house. I'm very happy with my purchase.
TYM Tractors been around a long time, i have a 2003 450 scorpion gear drive. Wish it was a hydro. At 39 hp out weights most of the others in that hp range. With filled tires its a beast
1st time tractor owner here. Did 3-years of research (needed to save some too!) and bought the 2515h in March. About 30-hours on it now and has been amazing. Moved lots of LARGE logs this weekend on unstable terrain and limited the loader but was able to move the logs with the backhoe was a solid counter-weight. IMHO, TYM is the next Kubota, as they were to Deere in the next 10-20 years, guaranteed. Finally, the big frame is also very heavy thus keeps weight to the ground. Lots of value from this model and I can see homesteaders getting behind this model and TYM in general. Good review now go read the forums and learn and share more…would love to see parts availability compete with the other big brands!
I own a Branson 2515r, bought in 21' before the merger and price increase. Bought it for all the reasons you discussed. Been a great machine. Just ticked over 500 hours today.. Zero need for dealer since i bought it. Other than to get rear remote upgrade I put in myself. Tractor will lift what she says. Obvious notes of ballast and safety when dealing with those weights.. enjoy the channel keep it coming.
Just bought a new 2515R from our local dealer. I think it was a leftover from '23, because I'm seeing 2515s on youtube now with a few differences like the grille guard that has "TYM" laser cut into it and the loader joystick valves have a big plastic cover. As of right now, I really like this tractor. It has a LOT of capability for being 25hp. The loader is strong (and smooth!) and the 3pt hitch is very powerful for this hp segment, too. Honestly, this is one of the best small tractors ever made, for all the reasons listed in this video. An old school mechanical engine in 2024 with little emissions crap strangling it? Incredible. TYM has a winner with this tractor.
Good video. If you’re looking for a 48ish HP Tractor TYM 4820, 474, 494 would be up your alley. And with TYM price point you will still be ahead with those models with a cab vs a Kubtoa with out a cab…. As I’m sure you are well aware. Keep up the good videos, and can’t wait to see what you end up with, you’re lucky you have Hank and Tony to bounce ideas off of.
Lucas over at Peek's Peak Hobby Homestead just got a 4820. I like the 4815 but not sure they are going to keep that model going forward are they are consolidating their line-up as they adjust to the Branson merger.
Badboy 4025H is the same tractor in a different color. Those engines are actually 35hp engines turned down to 25hp so you have much more torque than a standard 25hp tractor. We have used ours on the farm for about 6 months doing round bale feeding, running a box blade and just recently running a flail mower. I am able to run a 5' flail mower just fine in low in thick grass with this tractor.
I’ve going to my local dealer over the last month. I’ve been looking at the 2515, last week I actually sat on it. Tomorrow I might even start it up and drive it, and could buy it.
T y m bought Branson out because of 2515 is a very Stout tractor I bought a 2515 r it does everything I need add more it picks up Big square bales with no problem
Believe me Kubota. doesn’t have anything to worry about. I have 3 kubotas. From the small 4760 up to the mx111 zero issues. My neighbor down the road purchased one of these Korean tractors in 60 something up with a cab. He purchased it in March of this year and has about 100 hours on it already and it’s been back to the shop about four times already. And need to say that shop is 80 miles away! Kubota is 12 miles away.
That's not what I'm hearing from other TYM owners......they are at 400-500 hours with no issues. My Kubota has 500 hours and never been back to the shop. The Summit tractor we have for demo has 120 hours and no issues. Might just be a bad tractor built on a Friday before a holiday.
I'd like to have the loader controls next to the operator station and rear remotes for a hydraulic top link. But John deere and kubota should pay attention.
Great video, Brad! I’ve been looking at TYM for quite some time and they seem like the best value I can find. If you’re looking for 40hp with a cab, my thought is you might be happier with the T474. It has a lot more standard features and more pto hp that I wouldn’t think is worth giving up because of the DPF on the Kukje engine the T474 has. I can’t speak from experience with TYM but I am placing an order with my dealer for a T574 for my 20 acre property this week and hope I like it as much as I think I will. I’m looking forward to seeing what will work best on Piney Grove!
Yes but not sure about a 5x5 round baler. Check with these guys: tractortoolsdirect.com/ Here's us cutting, raking, baling with compact tractors: th-cam.com/play/PLG5yS75HLzo3qiXtZRXDZSZ7g2bDZ78NN.html
I have a Branson (now TYM) 2515H, 2021 year model and it has a lifting rating of 2000 lb with a 25 hp tractor and it means it. 750 hours on it so far. One very minor warranty issue... The routing of the throttle cable linked to the hydro-static pedals wasn't good and it broke the cable before 50 hours. I rerouted it just a little and it has been fine since. The 2515 was specifically designed to compete with and beat the Kubota.
Lift isn't everything. Kubota crushes the competition in many ways, especially hydraulic operation. But they are pricing themselves out of the working man's reach.
Want a plain jane old school farm tractor that your great grand parents had look into the Massy Ferguson 2600H series. Now those are workhorse tractor. Big bang for the buck aswell.
Naw the 1025 JD was at its front axle limit with an empty bucket. The Kubota equivalent was sitting at 300 pounds under the limit with an empty bucket. I cant even find the front axle rating on the TYM.
Come on TYM Hook this man up with a cab tractor with ac/heat and radio and a few implements like a front grapple Your not going to find a better spokesperson I think Brad would be a great ambassador for the TYM brand
Kubota doesn't put a cab on the L-series, but they do on the "premium" LX series which is a smaller tractor....it's kinda weird. They also put one on the B series. If they put one on a L3902 or L4702, I would consider it, but then again, Kubota has gotten too expensive!! Thanks for watching.
Kubota tractors are Kubota front to rear, unlike many others that source parts from all over the world and make a tractor from those parts. Kubota's decades of quality tractors, dealer network and support are second to none. The KATAC Kubota insurance is superior to any other, 100% coverage in many or all situations. Had an off-brand tractor for years, became hard and difficult to find parts and dealers, the brand changed names many times. The dealer network Kubota has is the best. Was looking at John Deere but glad I went with Kubota. The front axle assembly on Kubota is much stronger the most. Don't know of any TYM dealers near us. The prices you are show is more than our Kubota with accessories cost. The lifting weight is based on what the tractor can offset based on the weight behind the lift, just increasing the lift weight doesn't mean it will be safe.
I have a tym 474. Im in Michigan. My priorities when buying it was being able to lift my 1500 pound round bales, having hydrostat so my wife would drive it, and having a heated cab for the winter. I had an open station massey before that I loved, but TYM was $18000 less money for a cab tractor than massey, john deere, or anyone els. If I trade tractors again, I will get 24 inch rear rims. THere is much larger selection of tires available in 24 inch rims for more liquid ballast capacity. THis tym is a little clunky. THe rear remote levers, like he said, are very short, and awkward to operate. My range selector doesnt move smoothly. The 3 point lever inside the cab is short and too close to the seat. Like I said, the tractor is a little clunky, but for the money, it does everything I want it to do. Im happy with it overall.
It is so easy & cheap to increase lift capacity on these tractors that I do not put much emphasis on that. The TYM tractors still offer a lot of bang for the buck.
Very good video. The additional lift sounds good but…. Do I really want to pick up 2200# on a tractor that size and move it around? I have owned a Kubota 3901 for a few years now? Unless the TYM is a lot heavier than the 3901 I think 2200# might not be a great idea. I agree we are all adults and these are adult tractors. I also agree not putting it in regeneration mode ever again would be nice! Enjoyed the review!
Guess it depends on what you need, a weekender or TH-camr can get away with a cheap knock off, but the guy that depends on making a living with equipment would probably go deere, Kubota, Massey. I do have a 50hp off brand tractor that i leave in the woods where im working and its been dependable for years. If i had to start over again id probably go Kubota again
I would not consider Tym a cheap knock off. Looking at build quality of my T574 compared to the Kubota MX5400 or 6000. I will take the Tym and pocket the 20k.
@ajpsawmill4314 If I need 20k for repairs then you'll need double that for the ones you listed. Either way those will be more. At least I will be able to fix whatever is needed while those others will be sitting at a repair shop somewhere. Go and read the many forums of people complaining about the overpriced and complicated systems those tractors have and how expensive they are to repair
the only reason i got a new 2501 this year was rhe dealer was nice to me. the tym is better in everyway. dollar per dollar, it's a better tractor. but the Kubota guy simply had me sign paperwork and sent me home with a new tractor cutter loader and box blade
They are 2 different machines. The Summit is a small frame with 2 speed hydro, full of options, and about $7K cheaper than the TYM -- it would be even more separation in price if you fill the TYM rear tires with RimGuard, add 3rd function and a rear remote and upgrade to R14 tires. I'd love to do a side by side comparison in the field though!
I'm not convinced when manufacturers other than Kubota claim high capacity such as lift that it is either accurate or safe. By safe what I mean is they may turn it up as the risk of harming the reliability of the tractor long term. I'm just suggesting or saying this without knowing if it is true. But, why wouldn't Kubota offer higher capacities for the FEL or PTO if it was safe to do so? I could argue they may want consumers to buy up .... Just skeptical.
The lift on it is incredible for the price. Check out this video to see the limitations of PTO HP if you are running PTO driven equipment: th-cam.com/video/6JMxpkF4zvs/w-d-xo.html
I own a 1997 kubota and prices on their new tractors reflect that. $10k more than a Massey Ferguson I compared while shopping for a new one, I don't think kubota is worth that much more, and I love my old Kubota.
True. They are discontinuing the 4215 cab....last I checked there was about 6 for sale left in the nation! 4815 cab is continuing as far as I know. A cab on this tractor would check a lot of boxes for people.
I like the tractor. The tool box and fuel fill I would want changed. I do not want the tank low, I know I would not it on something. Nice video, thanks.
@@PineyGroveHomestead I’d have to see some real world numbers before I’d believe a tractor spec. Most tractor loaders will pick up more, off the ground. But what will it lift at full height?
Kioti & TYM clobbering Kubota, and rightly so. TYM 2515 non-hydro cab could offset cab's AC hp drain. Also, make 3rd function & 3 rear remotes std. There is zero price sensitivity, only product sensitivity. Focus on product and inspired consumers will rationalize price. Loaded product permits those with need to finance a more attractive process. God bless. TFS.
Kubota is on track to lose major market share in this segment because they refuse to update the design of their standard L series. The problem with Kubota is 1) high prices 2) treadle pedal 3) fuel filler location 4) low lift capacity 5) no rear remotes standard 6) no cab option. The Korean’s are hitting Kubota where it hurts.
I agree that Kubota is pricing themselves out of a lot of sales but they are still #2 behind John Deere and way ahead of the rest of the tractor manufactures. They have updated the L-series twice since 2014. I had the L3800, now I have the L3901 and the L3902 is out with a lot of upgrades. I love the treadle pedal and Kubota would switch to 2 pedals if they thought that was hurting sales. Very few tractors come with rear remotes standard to include this TYM 2515. Thanks for watching. Here's my L3902 walkaround....it's a nice tractor: th-cam.com/video/p0P6_vgrufU/w-d-xo.html
No split brakes = DEALBREAKER! After that, what it can lift is irrelevant. I didn’t know this tractor only had a single brake pedal. That’s the same with Kioti CK series. In my opinion that makes zero sense on a tractor this size. What a joke. C’mon TYM… I have a 42 year old 25hp Ford compact tractor this size and I use my split brakes regularly. Its biggest faults are parts availability and wimpy loader capacity.
Kubota and John Deere have ignored their compact customers and not rectified, will lose millions of new customers to the Korean market. Kubota and Deere compact tractors are to light in weight and to weak in lift capacities and they nickel and dime their buyers on features that are standard on Korean models. I'm looking at buying the TYM 4820. Heavy tractor with a fel capacity of 2700 lbs to full height.
Will not pull a greased string out of a cat's butt. Will lift a ton, you will need ballast, and consideration of transport trailer weight capacity. The sale price will make you look.
Hi @PineyGroveHomestead this is a very good content video. I am Anur from Yita Home, are you open to collaboration with home living brand? If yes, is there any contact information that I can contact? Thank You.
Are you Brock and Lucas all sitting around planning your videos? They all seem the same anymore. You and Lucas basically put out the same video hours apart. I’m a fan of all 3 channels but dang seems like the originality is drying up. Hope you don’t take my constructive criticism the wrong way, just a trend I’ve been seeing and it’s a little annoying. I guess after years of TH-cam content gets hard to make. I’m not an influencer I wouldn’t know.
The other channels you mention do overlap with Piney Grove, but I think each of us brings something different to the table. We have had Kubota, John Deere, Summit and now TYM on the channel. I'm a fan of tractors and I'm actively shopping for my cab tractor so that leads me to tractor lots where I film what I'm looking at. I don't think I've seen a 2515 video this in depth compared to a Kubota L-series and that includes the 6 or so TYM sponsored influencers! Thanks for watching!
@@PineyGroveHomestead yeah I know I’ve been watching all 3 along time. Just giving some input. When you been watching for so long you tend to notice things I guess. I’m not upset as you replied respectfully, just giving my thoughts. TH-cam is getting dry on content, many are regurgitating each others content, originality is lacking. I don’t watch tv just certain TH-camrs. It’s caused me to quit watching some as I look and I’m like “ oh more of the same”. I’m just a longtime viewer giving my thoughts not in a negative way at all. Appreciate the respectful response tho.
I find it useful to watch the reviews that different you-tubers produce featuring the same equipment. This video, plus Brock's extensive search for a new tractor, has convinced me that I should look at a TYM 2515 to replace my JD 2025R.

People who have them seem to be pleased with them.
TYM Tractors been around a long time, i have a 2003 450 scorpion gear drive. Wish it was a hydro. At 39 hp out weights most of the others in that hp range. With filled tires its a beast
Scorpion… rare find 👍🏼
Sounds like you made a good choice!
You are OG with the 2515! Seems like a great tractor for those shopping in the 25hp range.
A know a few people with them and they love them. Enjoy!
Great video TYM brings a lot of value for the price point! Lift capacity and options sold me
Glad it was helpful!
Good info!
😊Checkout Lumnar Acres. He at one time had a kabota but has had a TYM for sometime. There is an attachment for a chain saw as well.
He is sponsored by TYM...that's why he switched.
I’ve going to my local dealer over the last month. I’ve been looking at the 2515, last week I actually sat on it. Tomorrow I might even start it up and drive it, and could buy it.
My buddy Brock over at Rockhill Farm thinks highly of it too: th-cam.com/video/dzlkXH9KjQM/w-d-xo.html
Great review. Thanks for bringing this brand to my attention and for comparing it to its more expensive cousin.
Glad you found it helpful.
Hey Brad. Great video. I am loving my 2515H. Very capable machine
Sounds like you made a good choice.
I just bought a 2515 on Saturday. So far so good
Enjoy it!
Turn the fuel pump up, exact same tractor as the 3515 except no emissions!! Heat/A/c will make em a top seller
T y m bought Branson out because of 2515 is a very Stout tractor I bought a 2515 r it does everything I need add more it picks up Big square bales with no problem
I've seen that it can pick up two bales at once!
Great video! I've been giving the 2515 a serious look. I need more lift!
But then how would you mow your lawn?
Get it! 😁😁
What’s a TYM? Never heard of it. Is that an electric tractor?
I'd like to have the loader controls next to the operator station and rear remotes for a hydraulic top link. But John deere and kubota should pay attention.
They should! JD already laying off and moving to Mexico.
2200lb lift capacity so is that like a skidsteer ? 2200 with the arms all the way up & maybe 4400lbs arms half way down ? 6000 1/3rd way down ?😊
Great video, Brad!
I'm hearing the TYMs don't regen very often. I know my Kubota does about ever 50 hours or so. Thanks for watching.
In your opinion...would this tractor model be able to cut, rake and square bale hay? Round bale?
Yes but not sure about a 5x5 round baler. Check with these guys: tractortoolsdirect.com/
Here's us cutting, raking, baling with compact tractors: th-cam.com/play/PLG5yS75HLzo3qiXtZRXDZSZ7g2bDZ78NN.html
They have improved the 2515 since I bought mine.
BTW... change from the colored tapes to colored Zip ties.
The tapes sun fade.
I hear there is an updated model coming out next year!
I own a kubota tractor and yes kubota needs to be worried! Great specs for the $$$$
Lift isn't everything. Kubota crushes the competition in many ways, especially hydraulic operation. But they are pricing themselves out of the working man's reach.
Nice machine.
I think it gives consumers something to consider when comparing to the Kubota L-series.
Want a plain jane old school farm tractor that your great grand parents had look into the Massy Ferguson 2600H series. Now those are workhorse tractor. Big bang for the buck aswell.
Grew up on the old Massey!
I love my TYM T474 HST.
That's a nice size tractor.
⭐⭐.. You're The Best "TYM" Tractor Ambassador on TH-cam .. .. Time for You to Become a "TYM--Dealership--Owner" .. Seriously ..
Thanks for the vote of confidence!!
Neil from messicks looked at the JD lift capacity and found they were higher than what the front axle is rated for
I thought he found that JD keeps their lift capacity less than the axle rating.
I love my l2501 but when I get a cab tractor depending on price I might go with another brand idk yet
Watch more TYM lifting videos.
Brock @rockhillfarm and Lucas @ Peeks family homestead.
It's not a top tier tractor like a Kubota or John Deere, but it's much more reasonably priced!
It is so easy & cheap to increase lift capacity on these tractors that I do not put much emphasis on that. The TYM tractors still offer a lot of bang for the buck.
You can increase it with shims in the hydraulics but I don't think you can double it!
Stoneridge farms has two of them and luanh acers
Josh is no longer an active influencer with TYM. He did a video about that.
Thank you....and I agree, if you have 2200# lifted, you have to be very careful with it. Our L3901s can get squirrelly with 1000# above the hood!!
Shout out to Cloud Auto! I’ve shopped at all the auto part stores in Bonifay and overall, Cloud beats them all easily.
Great people!
Maybe if you use those armrest more, your shoulders would be in better shape
I hear eating meat and drinking lots of coffee helps too! 👊
There's a long wait for service at a John Deere dealer.
I would not consider Tym a cheap knock off. Looking at build quality of my T574 compared to the Kubota MX5400 or 6000. I will take the Tym and pocket the 20k.
@@TheComingGloryYou'll need the 20 grand for repairs anyway, my tym is the biggest turd I ever owned
I know it will pick up the average round bale of hay ... BUT ... Will this tractor run a hay mower/round baler?? Or even a square baler?
Our L3901 can: th-cam.com/video/_hnvFmVCHVU/w-d-xo.html
the only reason i got a new 2501 this year was rhe dealer was nice to me.
the tym is better in everyway. dollar per dollar, it's a better tractor.
but the Kubota guy simply had me sign paperwork and sent me home with a new tractor cutter loader and box blade
the heart wants what the heart wants. Kubota makes a great tractor...they just pricey and don't lift very much!
How does the Tym compare to the summit tractor that you have?
They are 2 different machines. The Summit is a small frame with 2 speed hydro, full of options, and about $7K cheaper than the TYM -- it would be even more separation in price if you fill the TYM rear tires with RimGuard, add 3rd function and a rear remote and upgrade to R14 tires. I'd love to do a side by side comparison in the field though!
@@PineyGroveHomestead I would like to see the two of them TYM And the summit go head to head
I have the same concern. I know I can push a 40 year old Kubota to its limits.
This is the 4th or 5th video specifically ON the 2515...everyone has me more and more convinced...this could be my tractor!?
The lift on it is incredible for the price. Check out this video to see the limitations of PTO HP if you are running PTO driven equipment: th-cam.com/video/6JMxpkF4zvs/w-d-xo.html
@@PineyGroveHomestead Thank You
Kubota is Kubota front to rear. Dealers established for years.
That's very true.
I own a 1997 kubota and prices on their new tractors reflect that. $10k more than a Massey Ferguson I compared while shopping for a new one, I don't think kubota is worth that much more, and I love my old Kubota.
TYM is as well unless you get a model with a Yanmar engine
They DO make that same tractor in 40 hp. TYM has a 4215 and a 4815 with 42 and 48 hp respectively.
True. They are discontinuing the 4215 cab....last I checked there was about 6 for sale left in the nation! 4815 cab is continuing as far as I know. A cab on this tractor would check a lot of boxes for people.
They?
Should be worried that track lift more costs less.
I think so
Some old tractors from the 50s had 3200lbs of lift. They'd lift more than it was wise to lift for a tractor of that size :(
True....less liability issues back then.
I like the tractor. The tool box and fuel fill I would want changed. I do not want the tank low, I know I would not it on something.
Nice video, thanks.
We all like it a little different! Thanks for watching.
Tym is the only tractor I would buy someone can just about buy 2 Tym tractor compared to Kubota or JD
JD and Kubota are certainly proud of their tractors! Thanks for watching!
No doubt TYM is really pushing the hydraulics hard to get those kind of numbers. Kind of scary with that size of tractor.
You can get yourself in trouble quick with that kind of hydraulic power!
@@PineyGroveHomestead
I’d have to see some real world numbers before I’d believe a tractor spec.
God bless. TFS.
I know someone who used the cab model and said it performed well in the heat brush hogging and operating the A/C. I'd like to try that out!
I’m going with kioti
I've heard they are good tractors too.
👍
Kubota isn’t worried at all about TYM.
Kubota make good products and has a great reputation, but they are getting too pricey.
Kubota has them but they were really useable until the L3902: th-cam.com/video/p0P6_vgrufU/w-d-xo.html
2515 and 3515 have the same engine, if you turn up the pump on the 2515, you will have 35 horsepower.
I've heard that...same with some other tractors too.
They certainly have priced themselves out of a lot of sales!
Mahindra offers larger HP tractors without DPF/DEF. Up to somewhere around 70 hp. I have a 42 hp with non of that nonsense.
Sounds like you have the right tractor for you! Tractor Hard!
Will not pull a greased string out of a cat's butt. Will lift a ton, you will need ballast, and consideration of transport trailer weight capacity. The sale price will make you look.
That poor cat!
want the kab
If there is demand for it, they will offer it...that's my guess, anyway.
@PineyGroveHomestead saw rock hill at oaklahoma demoing one nice ty 😊

Was so happy to see I could get off the tractor without it stalling
Hi @PineyGroveHomestead this is a very good content video. I am Anur from Yita Home, are you open to collaboration with home living brand? If yes, is there any contact information that I can contact? Thank You.
You act like this is something new. Look at Mahindra 2310. Made by TYM in the early 2000's
Stick with Kubota top quality product I looked at this product not impressed good luck getting parts because everything breaks
All tractors break....I haven't heard that TYM has any more issues than other brands.
No
Just buy a YANMAR.
That's a different price point and it doesn't lift as much.
I don’t watch tv just certain TH-camrs. It’s caused me to quit watching some as I look and I’m like “ oh more of the same”. I’m just a longtime viewer giving my thoughts not in a negative way at all.
