I am picking one of these up tomorrow, I am super excited. Even getting it for MSRP, I know, no I did not have to kill anyone or sell a kidney.
I managed to order this unicorn from pure luck. It was delivered 2 days later! I got a notification in the morning that It was delivered. The carrier decided to leave the box on my front porch while I was at work. Luckily it was still there when I came home but my hearth skipped a beat when I realized it was there for almost 8 hours.

Hi! I've got a 3080 Strix myself and the ROG Eye triangular piece is, in fact, a sticker. You have to peel off the plastic of the backside of the sticker and place it on the back of the card. The hole on the sticker aligns with screw on the back of the card. Cheers mate!

Great video bro! I was looking to but this card but I was only able to get the EVGA RTX 3080 XC3 Ultra. I'm doing an all white build later in the year and hopefully I can get this card for that. Great work!

that "ruler" shows gps coordinates to where the card originated at just figured id let ya know that since i looked it up myself.

can you break down what 8pin cables you did use and how you set them up. I am getting conflicting information online if you have limited 8 pins on your PSU. maybe provide links to the cables you got or similar. you said in the vid really quick that you are using two splitters so two slots from the PSU and then connecting 3 cables from the 2 splitters? I just ordered the same card and didn't think to check what cables and pins connectors I have available.

Took me 3 months to get everything and i started in November 15, 2020 and ended Feb 9th, 2020. I got the Strix 3070 instead of the Stix 3080 and have no regrets. PC is a monster.

Even though mine is white, it has a strong yellow tinge.
I will either get this in like a year or so when I build my pc or get the next gen when it comes out.
after waiting over a year for stock and spending 1270usd i did not even get a ruler lol

got mine as second hand but unboxed. so basically brand new, came here to check since this is the only video has true unbox process, seems like everything checks out.
upgrading from the 1070 strix as well, exact same card to the exact same card at the exact same time. the odds.
but kinda whines (coil whine), on stress load, the whine sounds about as loud as the fan. about 2 feet away from my head without side panel on (nr200) i wonder hows yours? same PSU as well (SF750)

Hey mate, I’ve been using it with a 750w for nearly 2 years - you *should* be fine, but the GPU will flash red if you’re having power issues :)

Hello, do you have any problems with coilwhine on your 3080? I've heard from alot of people that there is a noticable coilwhine on the rog strix 3080..

I think they're both comparable as far as cooling and noise. Both are the higher end gpus of their respective brands.

Ah ok did not notice the specs but i have the same cpu i was trying to get a comparison to what I'll be looking at with mine when I get it, I have this card on pre order. Just praying at this point they make them fast enough for the demand. I would like to see him do a fps video with the card and cpu.

Is it better to use dedicated 8 pin PCIe cables or pigtailed (duel) 8 pin PCIe cables? For power draw and efficiency
I have the strix OC myself and 2 cables is fine. I have 2 x dual PCIe cables. I just leave on connector aside mimicking the look of the pair that is plugged. You can also have a dual and a single PCIe.
