We, Latin Americans are very passionate. However, we don't go around hugging and kissing everyone we met for the first time, most of the times it's just a "hi! *smile*". Like in every other country, there are outgoing people and others who are more introverted. So, if you happen to meet someone from South America and that person greets you with a kiss/hug, it's probably someone extroverted/outgoing. We are all friendly, of course. But we also want to have our space. There are plenty of stereotypes about Argentina, and all of South America but like I said, since everyone is different those things do not apply to everyone.
Well i AM from Perú, and You greet with a Kiss if someone ( friend or family) introduces to that new person, if they are both young they usually Kiss ( female with female , and female with male), but i wouldn't Say it's and affectionate or invasive Kiss ( is just cheek with cheek). Since i AM used to it, i find that less invasive than giving a hug, when a person hug me i feel it more invasive. When You 'kiss' that new person they don't usually hug You, that would be really rare and uncomfortable.
😂😂 Slipper power is passed down when you become a mom! My kids (who are mostly adults now), can confirm. And yes, it’s rude if you don’t greet everyone (Even strangers) at a party. I think our families see it as a reflection of the family as a whole and we don’t want to be seen as rude.

As a Brazilian, I couldn't agree more. And, yes, greeting things it's like this. In Brazil, depending on where you're born you have to kiss people twice or three times lol It's akward but it's cool, I wouldn't change it for nothing
My family heritage is from Peru, so this is very true for pretty much all Latin countries not just South America. They say you don’t normally “kiss” or hug on the first meet, but I actually don’t believe that anymore. It’s very common to do so in the *first* meeting. Also, relatable to greeting EVERYONE at parities, even the strangers. It’s considered rude and “your above everyone else here” to not greet me and my family, kind of thing. It’s so funny to remember back when you enter to a party and you spend like 5-10 minutes just going around the room or yard, hugging and kissing, hugging and kissing, hugging and kissing, and “hola, Cómo estás? Bien y tu? Muy bien, hasta luego” and so on. AND THE CHANCLA! It’s always the mom (and the belt for fathers) LOL. This was too relatable 😂

So true about greeting everyone at parties… if you don’t kiss and hug everyone it’s seen as really rude and as if you think you’re better than others. Even if it’s 100 people at the party like she said, it’s a must! It’s a little funny because since often parties are really big there’s people you don’t know and while greeting them you’re both talking saying “nice to meet you! My name is ___ I’m your cousin, parent’s friend, etc” rushing to talk before you move to the next person. As a South American person though I’ve definitely made some mistakes introducing myself at parties w people from other cultures :’) I forget that it’s not common so I have be aware, like the sisters said your parents (especially your mom) really drills the greeting into you because if not your family could be seen as disrespectful!😭

Filipinos (please note we're Asians) greet the same way as how Soledad greeted Seungwoo :) although that is reserved to our family, relatives, and close friends. :) We call it "beso". We' also have to hug and kiss every person in the room (especially when we were kids). If we miss one person, our parents would call us and say "greet your tio/tia" and we'll give them a beso and a hug or "mano". That's how we also show respect to them.

As a Filipina, I can say that I can understand both behaviors.. the beso part and how our parents react is really true hahahah! but when it comes to discipline I think slippers is the lightest thing to use, it's only for shallow reasons.. belt, broom and hanger is still the best.. and you need to kneel in a rock salt for 3 hours afterwards for you to learn your lesson.. 😂😂😂 i miss childhood..

Yeah same. Honestly I don’t really vibe with the culture in general. Mexicans (even my relatives) can be so loud and they always blast music. And don’t get me started on me having to greet EVERYONE and be expected to have conversations or hug people I barely know.

@3:38 I just discussed this with my mother this morning. I'm from Southern USA (same area as previous visitor Renee), and she taught us to speak to everyone when entering a room. Hugs and kisses 😘😘. Well maybe not kisses. But it is disrepectful to not greet everyone, especially uncles and aunties. My aunties were complaining about a cousin not greeting family when he came to party yesterday. I said maybe it's because he is only 23 years old.
Omg I’m mixed with Mexican ( 🇲🇽 ) and Spanish ( 🇪🇸) woman. I’m also a Texan ( 🤠😉) . And this is very true 😂 Hispanic mamas don’t play 😂 I loved this video. ❤ Can’t wait to see more ☺️
Seungwoo was blindsided by that kiss. Looked like a deer in the headlights. And all fear the power of the chankla. Its power has been handed down from generation to generation for years.
Me estresan mucho esos momentos.
Coming from a Dominican🇩🇴 big family, omg arriving late to a family gathering ( after cleaning the entire house) it was a nightmare hugging and kissing more then 50 people 🙄 and if you just wave they’ll find it disrespectful. Now that I have my own child I encorange him to say hello but he doesn’t have to hug or kiss anyone if he doesn’t want to or feel comfortable, because by forcing your child to hug people and kiss them, I believe it just teaches them that even if they don’t feel comfortable in a situation they have to do what’s expected of them.
I'm from a big Mexican family, very physical loving with lots of hugs. Can't speak for all Mexicans and Mexican Americans, but dont be surprised if you are introduced to a new person and by the time you leave, they hug you before you go. I don't know why. It feels so innate
As someone from a Mexican family, I and we (family and friends) don't give kisses. But hugs are and especially handshakes are 100% true. Like when we go to someone's house, we literally have to go greet every single person in the room/house regardless if you know them or not. Like let's say it's at a small party or bbq, go greet everyone especially the hosts/house owners. And in the end I end up meeting relatives I never knew I had. Or meeting that one friend of my parents from their youth and have my mom or dad be all, "yeah this is my little girl." The plastic bags! No throwing away or sending them to recycle, use them. And also the containers, if a container from something is good, keep it and use it for something else instead of throwing it away, sometimes. And the pans too. Before turning on the oven we have to check what's in it before turning it on. And one thing I noticed a lot is that some Hispanics (just saying in general) have a rosary in their car (my family and I do too.)
Normally, we also have this culture too (It happens especially when distant relatives come to visit), I'm Turkish. But we took a break from this during the corona period. Well, I dont like this kissing hugging culture anyway so im happy🤭 Even before the corona, I would somehow avoid this thing hehehe..
As a child I grew up with that BS of having to hug and kiss everyone once I arrived at the party/gathering. Now as an adult if there is too many people I just smile and wave and say it's good to see them all. I'm not doing it anymore. I always hated it. And if they wanna call me rude then I'm fine with that.
Ever since pandemic, this way of greeting stopped (at least the place I'm from, some family relatives of mine still greet with kissing in the cheek, I just stick with saying hello and shake my head 😂 )

@@slee2695 yes. It's really not like Netflix make you believe. There are criminals and drug dealers but that's only a very small percentage of the population.
@@slee2695 I think so
😜😁 Hilarious! The hug and kiss got me. Their Reaction. 😁
Wait until they find out even guys in Argentina greet each other with a kiss on the cheeks...
More HeeJae rapping! 😍🤩
For me it's a bit different I'm from Guatemala and when we go to family gatherings we don't have to kiss anyone but we do have to hug and say hello to our family members. Then when we meet strangers at a party we just have to say hello and introduce ourselves.
Buenísimo este vídeo 🙌
Heejae n seungwoo the old married couple really match in heaven
Coming from a Mexican household, living in Japan has greatly changed some of my ways.
It’s funny how I can relate to everything 😭 I loved it
May they fly high and May they rest in peace also I’m so sorry they didn’t deserve to pass like that🕊️
What happened??
@3:38 I just discussed this with my mother this morning. I'm from Southern USA (same area as previous visitor Renee), and she taught us to speak to everyone when entering a room. Hugs and kisses 😘😘. Well maybe not kisses. But it is disrepectful to not greet everyone, especially uncles and aunties. My aunties were complaining about a cousin not greeting family when he came to party yesterday. I said maybe it's because he is only 23 years old.
The slippers thing is so true, and I'm Brazilian... 😂😂😂😂
these twins are the best!!!!! theyre the funniest!!!! 😂
I think I'm South American too😂. I can relate to everything except the greeting and keeping things in the oven 🤣
The chancla! 😂 You wanna cry!? I'll give you something to cry about!
Omg I’m mixed with Mexican ( 🇲🇽 ) and Spanish ( 🇪🇸) woman. I’m also a Texan ( 🤠😉) .
And this is very true 😂
Hispanic mamas don’t play 😂
I loved this video. ❤ Can’t wait to see more ☺️
Ahhh the chuncla. Man I got some reflexes from dodging those! 😂. I also remember the 100 people or more meet and greet every one…or the chuncla!
As a brazillian, I confirm it all 🤣
Seung woo was not ready
This video is so relatable. I got in trouble so much as a child because I HATED hugging and kissing people.
So funny, I look forward to a second part 😹😹😹💜
Seungwoo was blindsided by that kiss. Looked like a deer in the headlights. And all fear the power of the chankla. Its power has been handed down from generation to generation for years.
Me estresan mucho esos momentos.
This Korean lady is so funny! I love her vibe!
I’m Mexican but my family doesn’t like the kiss part so we don’t do it but we have too if my grandma is there but we hug anyone we see
Vine de TikTok! Sol 🌞 y flora 🌺Vamos Argentina! Las amo ❤
Heejae’s voice reminds me so much of Minji from Newjeans and Jisoo from Blackpink! It’s beautiful
Woah Heejae pants are so cool 🥰 (if someone knows where to find it i take it !)
Nice video btw ! That was really funny 😂
Brasil is the same but we don't actually put our lips in the person's face is just the smoch sound you make near the person's face 🤣
😂 I love to see the twins here 🎉 I’m very big fan of them!!! They was with monsta x!!! ❤ please invite them again ~~ full support from 🇦🇷
Awesome stuff
La chancla 🩴 an international mom’s weapon. 😂
Ohhh in Brazil is also like this!!!! And yes, i use slippers with my sons...kkkkkk... I have a good shot!!!!
I'm from a big Mexican family, very physical loving with lots of hugs. Can't speak for all Mexicans and Mexican Americans, but dont be surprised if you are introduced to a new person and by the time you leave, they hug you before you go. I don't know why. It feels so innate
Ahjajajajjajajajajjajajjajaja
Favorite part Sol kisss
finally my country! 🇦🇷ARGENTINA 🇦🇷✨The twins so cute✨ waiting for more.
I love how they are getting to know each other
As someone from a Mexican family, I and we (family and friends) don't give kisses. Or meeting that one friend of my parents from their youth and have my mom or dad be all, "yeah this is my little girl."
The plastic bags!
You guys are amazing lots of love from pakistan😍😍♥️♥️
As someone who is of Portuguese descent we also greet people with hugs and kisses but not everyone is comfortable with that 😔
The "slipper power" is also well known in Italy🤣🤣
This is all so relatable
Ever since pandemic, this way of greeting stopped (at least the place I'm from, some family relatives of mine still greet with kissing in the cheek, I just stick with saying hello and shake my head 😂 )
Encaramessiii!!!
Hahahah i laugh a lot with this video
