THANK YOU, I can’t stand EA, NHL 24 is supposed to be a SIMULATION hockey game and there are so many things that don’t even happen or better yet aren’t even programmed in the game that always happen multiple times throughout a real hockey game. For example Freezing the puck… There isn’t even an option for the refs to freeze the puck if players are fighting over a puck in the corner of the rink they just fight until it breaks free or until someone is called for crosschecking (which happens all the time for whatever reason) Online is even more of a joke too just whoever can setup more one-timers basically wins the game. There is no option to deflect shots into goal which every single team in the league practices all the time and is attempted multiple times throughout a real game. This year the goalies are absolutely mental which is surprising because Idk how you make them worse at this point. If there’s a puck that isn’t entirely in their possession 9/10 they go retard and slap the puck right into their own goal. Speaking of that I’ve seen more own-goals scored in this year’s game than any other which makes zero sense considering that is a rarity in real life, and what makes is even worse is the announcers react to it like it is rare except it happens multiple times per game for whatever dumbass reason. They made checking horribly unrealistic, every hit demolishes the guy getting checked like its NHL Hitz from 2003 lol. We pay for a simulation hockey game and it feels more like an arcade game than ever before, and I understand hockey is a hard game to replicate in a video game but jesus christ NHL 14 was miles better than 24 and the game is 10 years old… EA do better. (Sorry for the rant, I’ve been playing this game and enjoying it for years but these past 5-6 years have been awful)
Every other sport game has felt the same as its previous one every year since 2014. This one finally changes how it feels, you can break the glass against the boards now, you can hit people into the bench now, exhaustion mode is dope, legit the best sport game besides possibly FIFA (in terms of what they offer to fans)

Someone go to the players stats and show me 1 goalie who has played 100 games and maintained a sv% above 900….. this game is actually shit
I have to agree with you here, it would be nice if the players were real. I know it’s a video game but … I think what we’re seeing is a difference of opinion between the generations. Some of us older guys who have been gamers for over 20 years tend to want things more realistic and the younger dudes don’t care as much and wanna score, score, score.
The gameplay itself is good but the penalties make no fucking sense. Like your ai teammate boards the other team and you miss the check and instead of your teammate being ejected for misconduct, YOU take the fucking blame!
NHL has been a joke for awhile don’t get me wrong. But the main reason it has been is because of goofs like this guy. It’s a video game !, if you want to have an authentic feel to hockey then get your mom to lace a pair for you and get out there.

As someone who played the beta I think it’s a step in the right direction I enjoyed the gameplay especially the pressure gage. As someone who plays on a team who likes to cycle the puck I loved that feature.

The shot you take is absurd. Goalies are ass that can’t even be positioned right. Madden for this year is a joke. Defenders can’t defend. Can’t even intercept the ball or can’t make the incomplete pass because it just makes the receiver catch it somehow some way. Madden 24 needs to be updated for better defense. NHL is the sports game to play, the rules are simple, it’s action on action every second, and more competitive. Fifa is somewhat competitive if you don’t lack on ball movement. Madden is based off of luck. Never met a person that knows every defense and offense playbooks. You pick a play and pray for it to work. NHL is far more better. Builds up the feeling to make a shot in.
