I'm so heartbroken I didn't get tickets for the OG Broadway cast. First round glitched out, filmed performances sold out while I was still queuing and then today I did not win the TodayTix lottery. I'm still hoping they do rush tickets but doubt it. But at least it's filmed... And the west end cast is very exciting!
didn’t stand a chance at the obc presale tickets but then due to funky queue stuff managed to get pretty much first pick of tickets for one of the proshot performances, which i am thrilled about because i am so incredibly nosy. very exciting stuff going on all round with hadestown at the minute.
i've been looking for the march onwards cast for a while, so thank you! i'm going to london for theatre camp, and i'm really looking forward to seeing hadestown there!!
Going this Saturday and again on Saturday 8th March to see the Eva, Reeve, Andre, Patrick and Amber. This show is honestly going to ruin me with so many trips to London but it will have been worth it.
When seeing the notification, I thought for a moment that this was about the Amsterdam cast and got really excited as a Dutch person, haha. I'm sure we'll have to wait for that one a little longer.
I’ve seen this show twice in the UK, with the first cast and the one that is now performing. The current Orpheus and Persephone are absolute revelations. Not dissing in the previous actors, but there’s something very special about them. Orpheus is more endearing whilst less childish, and Persephone is just a bomb of energy and dynamic emotional range. Incredible. ❤ Would love to see all the casts, including the Original Broadway… sadly I live in Portugal and make Portuguese wages, so…
I've described Orpheus as a golden retriever. He's not childish, he's just overly enthusiastic in a way that completely works. I never liked Orpheus as a character before I saw this interpretation
Can't wait to see the final performance of the current cast on Sunday- Melanie is unbelievable, and Dylan is beautifully subtle - the energy from the whole cast is unworldly! Missed out on Broadway cast and lottery but can't wait for the new cast. Cedric is going to be wonderful and the others will be amazing. Enjoy any performance you are able to see. It's an exceptional night out whoever you see. Breathtaking and thought-provoking with unbelievable talents across the board. Enjoy!!!
SO GLAD Dylan Wood is returning/staying. He’s incredible as Orpheus and I’m excited to catch him again. Also very very excited for the rest of the cast joining! Ugh I just love this show 😍
With Hadestown, Percy Jackson and soon Hercules appearing in the West End, they need to rotate Hades between productions. Ideally with the same characterisation. Hadestown Hades would probably just straight up fight Hercules 😂
I hope they do some kind of collaboration! When Hadestown was running on Broadway and Percy Jackson had its limited run, I was a little disappointed they didn't get to do a collab
Incredibly I managed to grab tickets for the filmed performance. It will be 3 days after my birthday. Nothing will ever top that gift. I will be making the trip from France to see them, can't wait !! 😍
I discovered Hadestown too late, as I'm very brand new to broadway. But it is definitely my #1/14 shows so far. I've gone back way too many times. So fortunate and lucky to be able to go to London to see the original cast for the first time.
After listening to the music on repeat I'm finally going to see the show for the first time this Thursday. SO excited to see all of the current cast (especially MLB!)!!! Since booking I've also lucked out on tickets to the pro-shot... Amber Gray, arghhh 🤩😭!!!
I was so damn lucky to get OBC tickets for the ideal weekend for me and my friends but the new West End cast also has me so hype especially Victoria as Persephone so really hoping i can somehow manage another trip to London to see her in the role
The current cast are so good and I’m so so glad I got to see them last weekend. I love this show so much. I’m so excited to see what the new faces bring to the roles! ❤ also incredibly glad Dylan is staying because his Orpheus is incredible and I will definitely be taking another trip to the road to hell.
I was lucky enough to get tickets for the OG cast which happily coincides with my birthday and I am soo jazzed and also very happy they are doing the Proshoot.
I would love to have been able to travel to London, but the good news about being in the US is that I can avoid all the aggravation of figuring out how to get tickets! Enough things to get aggravated about! Hopefully I’ll see it on film and I did see Jordan Fisher three times!
Simon I believe will be starting rehearsals for North by North West after leaving on 9/2, and Beth starts Otherland at the Almeida on the 12th of Feb. I’m slightly concerned that they’re slightly short on workers and swings, hopefully none of the principals between 11/2 and 9/3 get injured or ill because it feels like they’re taking a big risk there.
