I missed you guys in baton rouge Louisiana. Lol i was working in Texas on a cell tower while my friends were sending short videos of y'all because I wasn't able to be there. Ive been listening to your music for a while now . I enjoy the hell out of . Great song writer.
I discovered LDSB accidentally. I got on a banjo kick and wanted to learn more about the instrument and get one. My girlfriend wasn't very enthusiastic since I already have 12 guitars, 2 bases and 3 midi keyboards here at the house. So one day I just did a search on TH-cam for 'banjo' and there in the results was the video 'I Went Down to Georgia' clicked on it and I was captivated . So when I found out that LDSB was going to be playing in Los Angeles in 2018 I had my mind set on going. Unfortunately due to some financial issues I didn't get a ticket in time. I was completely bummed. My girlfriend contacted LDSB and explained how I have been looking forward to this show and asked if there were any tickets available. Ashley Maye was so cool that she put is on the guest list. So when my girlfriend surprised me and told me we were going (a early bday gift) boy was I doing cartwheels band back flips with a huge grin from ear to ear! The show was amazing! And what was even more amazing was how down to earth Ben is. A small group of us was was waiting next to the stage so as he came down from the stage we're all asking for autographs and pics. He said to us I'll be right back. So we waited for a short bit and sure enough he came back out and introduced himself, answered questions, took pictures and he even signed my guitar that I took to the show. I was really impressed by just how down to Earth Ben is and the time he made to hang out with his fans.
@@wintermoonomen I'm stuck on Grace's Casket and Fightin Like Hell to be Free right now though earlier in the year, it was September Doves, Dublin Blues, I Went Down to Georgia and Coming Down. They were the 1st show I went to after the lockdown (in August) and they were flipping awesome. I hope they make it out West again soon. I didnt grow up listening to country / folk but man, LDSB/Benjamin Tod has changed that.
I love how human they are. Ashley always seems to mess with the strap on her fiddle when she's talking because of anxiety. I do the same sort of little ticks when I have to speak in front of people. I've seen them three times in the last year and honestly can't wait til I can see them live again. Always, always a wonderful show, even when it's short and sweet.
The crowd enthusiasm is amazing. Definitely on my bucket list
Hearing a group sing this song makes me feel so good. My kind of people.
It was an awesome night! The crowd singing may have been just a tad off key but all in all everyone enjoyed nthe show.
My favorite band
