    Excellent, teacher!
    What I like more in Karate is how smart does this combat system is. Amazing; actually, my idea to develop is a kind of peaceful Karate. And your bunkai have helped me a lot.
    Thank! And congratulations!

    What a joke. Heishu kata of Naha-te do not really have bunkai, because they were NOT about attack or defence techniques but body mechanics/application of power training. Anyone who attributes complex defence techniques to Sanchin is really missing the essence of Sanchin training.

    • @lesbubka
      @lesbubka  5 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Toraguchi firstly thank you for taking time to watch the clip and to write a comment. Indeed Sanchin and Tensho are for structure and body mechanics. Elements of those kata are in other forms and have combat applications, so I don't see the reason why not to play with does kata as a complex applications? Is there a rule that I cannot play with movement? Also thousands of people enjoy my approach, meaning that people are interested to see what you can do with structure and body mechanics. In the end you can train kata as you wish I enjoy exploring.btw I never been with "traditional "karate so that's so I'm not restricted by traditional rules. Kind regards Les.

      @@lesbubkaThere's nothing wrong at all with developing one's own bunkai, but it's just pathetic to try to make multiple fighting technique-related Bunkai out of yoko-uke and Tsuki combination, without understanding the essence of Sanchin, especially when your Bunkai has ZERO to do with Sanchin body mechanics.
      Where the Sanchin kata says "Sink your CG and grip the ground with your toes, close your breathing and tighten all your muscles", your Bunkai of the same movement says "float, move and breathe", where the Sanchin says "Kime", your Bunkai made for no kime but, where the kata says "tighten" your bunkai said "let go and loosen up"...if there's only one definition of bad/fake bunkai, it's bunkai that runs counter to the fundamentals of the kata.
      Truth is, if you knew Sanchin you won't be inventing Bunkai which is irrelevant to Sanchin. But by your own words, if you didn't train in Traditional Karate, therefore I wondered WHY the heck were you doing "Bunkai" with a very traditional karate kata? Isn't that kinda misleading?
      Bunkai literally means "explanation" and Sanchin bunkai literally pertains to HOW it enhances the other Naha-te Kata and techniques-and it tells us which muscle groups should be used to do what sort of techniques, as well as the methods of power training specific to Sanchin that would build those muscles....that's orthodox Sanchin Bunkai - that's why it's called a heishu kata, - heishu meaning "enclosed/shut handed", which means these types of kata traditiinaly had no "fighting instructions" in them. Tensho is the other "Heishu kata" of Naha-Te. So yeah, in answer to your question, there was a rule that Sanchin and Tensho kata did not have "fighting bunkai", but they did have "foundation training bunkai".

      @@lesbubka Finally I am NOT aware that Sanchin's techniques are in other kata. Sanchin Opening moves of double Yoko-Uke is done with dynamic tension, muchimi and with Kime in shoulders, arms, your chest and back, your waistw, thighs and calf muscles, you should also tighten your butt cheeks and grip the ground with your toes, and you should tighten your jaw and neck muscles.....Tell me which other kata has these technique with the same elements? Then the punch is done again with dynamic tension, with Muchimi (stickiness), while the rest of the body is stiff - I am not aware that any other kata punches this way, with dynamic tension, muchimi(stickiness) and sanchin breathing. You think they are the "same" punch and block as in other kata, but they're not.

      Wow thank you for the message, you must be the guardian of the old ways, please check Sanchin of Uechi Ryu or Isshin Ryu I think your knowledge can help them too. I'm no expert on Goju but maybe Higaonna sensei doing something wrong in Seisan, I think you can bring him some enlightenment as a messiah. I understand you are entitled to your opinion, does calling people pathetic makes you feeling a better man? Please share your wealth of knowledge and share a clip how the Sanchin should look. I think everyone would like to see it. For some karate is like religion, worshiped and fanatical for others it's a science where you can have fun and explore. Also I talk reguraly with 7th to 9th Dan sensei from different Goju branches even more, I had a pleasure to do kata next to them on different occasions. Always getting very positive feedback, they like what I do. I guess what they can know right? I'm sure that some anonymous internet guy knows more. Last thing you are aware of the possibility that if you don't like my videos you can just move on? I value your opinion so please subscribe to my channel so you don't miss any of new videos! Kind regards
