Boy oh boy…shit on Canada …praise the US!!!!! No Canadian shirts!! Stars and Stripes hat!! US flag on the wall and no Canadian flag to be found!! Love your videos but hard to watch with all the intentional and unintentional anti-Canada bullshit!!!
John. Chill brother. The issue is basically our governments. The price to send a shirt from USA to Canada should not be 65 bucks but Dan has absolutely nothing to do with that
With all you do, it's easy to forget you have a day job. Always productive , always moving forward. Appreciate the videos and all you do to encourage and motivate others.
You are doing reconstructive metal surgery on the Nomad. You have my utmost respect for how you considered the car's originality in your repairs. The song: "What do you do with a rusted Nomad?" comes to mind.
I'm not a car person. I know very little about them. But I gotta tell you that my husband, who's a 37+ year truck driver, and I watch your videos (and Dani's, too!) RELIGIOUSLY! Keep on doing what you're doing! BTW, the Nomad is just beautiful. Be well and Merry Christmas from the states! Carrie and Ken
I'm always impressed with your ingenuity in working out the easiest (and best) ways to do these repairs. There's no book method for any of this, and it's really cool to see how you approach the problem. Thanks for taking us along.

I hate almost every thing you do, but it makes sense for a back yard garage. When I was a kid until now, always trying to save a buck and have fun….. God Bless y’all. O sending you a Christmas present tomorrow from Texas. Actually I love 75% of what y’all do.
It really shows how much you care about this nice Nomad, I don't think I have ever seen you use welding blankets and paper things off to keep sparks and welding splatter at bay.
55 nomad looks awesome!!! 100% there's nothing wrong with the repair you've done. I'm doing it now on my dad's car. Don't listen to people judging your work. Most of them only done it once and they think there experts!!! Awesome video!!!!
Great job Dan. So pleased to hear those words " vacuum cleaner" and " prime and coat underneath". I saw the flash rust and saw visions of Mer ripping you a new orifice...as he should in this case. Great skill and great outcome.
I enrolled in the CETA program for bodywork way back in 1975! My two year instructor was an old school lead and braze guy. He said “ if it ain’t fucked up, don’t fick with it! Truly words of wisdom!
Exactly how it was done before repro pans and everyone jumping on the resto wagon when it got easier! Great job Dan. My dads 56 was so,id with a few issues too. He hand made his panels. Couldnt tell after done.
I'm going to tell you you did one fantastic job you should be super proud of yourself and I absolutely love the carpet color. Nice job and beautiful car!
@47:12 my celtic blood approves of your music choice. and i appreciate that you're trying to preserve originality on the nomad as much as you can by avoiding tearing it apart and such. the lower looks great!
Always a good show! You really have drive to work a regular job and still work on these vehicles and put out so many great videos. Hats off to you Sir!
I don't know about you, but in the 80s I was using lots of road signs and whatever other metal I could find to do my floor repairs. I don't know how many times the stop sign at the end of my street got replaced.
Awesome job Dan & Dani. Most of us Canucks understand!! Keep those videos coming. Love seeing what the rest of us could maybe do if we got off our asses!!
I too like the steel wheels/ small caps, I think it needs a wider rim on the rear. I'm so addicted to your channel that I started watching the older videos, both of you have come a long way, I am noticing how much the garage has changed and you don't work in flip flops anymore lol.
Nomad looks good. I've learned a lot from you dan, I once loved the tri 5's but I've learned I never want one, nice to look at but not to build or own. It just surprises me people still use facebook and twitter, I'm down to just using youtube and weening myself off that, got to get back to reality. Even dropped the cell for a wall hanger phone. Going back to simple times simple life.
In 1965 my 1st car was a 2door 55 Chevy with junkyard 283, 3 speed with Hurst floor shifter, light gray primered, black steelies with baby moons, not poverty caps. The baby moons were less than $20, the price of 1 chrome reverse wheel at Western Auto. AM radio with reverb hooked in. Engines put in with chain hoist hanging from tree limb, clutches changed on your back. Old guys like your shows , too. Our floor patches were missing road signs.

Your work looks as good as yours,no one ever called me a hack because most all the panels we put in were as good as original. A lot of work, time was never ending. 40 years and I’m still riding around in bad ass car!!! Wouldn’t trade it for nothing. The nomad looks super cool. I wish some of the colors from today would have been around then. Chevy wore me out with green. RS green is an exception. Keep kicking and thank god for letting you be so good at welding because that is the hard part for me. I still do it till I get it right. Time, time and A good night Dan!!! Good stuff
Nice job... I would like to say, "I'm impressed with the job" yet with what you are capable of doing, being impressed is an under statement. So, I'll just say that I believe you are quite capable, and someone that I have been taking note and learning from. I'm confident that even 'Sir Mortske' enjoys watching you, and knows you're not just sittin' on your ass, and you're getting your projects done.
Dan, awesome job on the floor pan. I think you’re headed in the right direction with this sweet ride. Your attention to detail is priceless. Love the videos!😎
I think your floor repairs turned out great, you are right not to put in a full floor because it could cause damage to the car. You are going to have a very nice car when it is done.
@@pkerit308only need to be continuous for exterior panels, all manufacturers just stitch/ spot weld & seam seal interior stuff, but one would hardly know it unless you know where& what to look for...

You focus on structure first then how it looks and get it done with the least amount of effort and time. Your final results couldn’t be any better and it couldn’t be done any quicker. Love your Style
Dan, I really enjoyed this video as one of my favorites, not just because I love the car; but, you seemed so enthusiastic and you cared about what you were doing. It was a good fun video that showed a lot of great content. In the future if you have an opportunity to do kind of a not to crazy build on a 90’s 454 engine that will sound good and have a few more ponies, I need to “know how” to bring one all together. I don’t even know what to buy or where to begin.😮Thanks, Dan Great vid
The amber lens was used in our GM plant on indicator lighting on a lot of our presses. Most of those presses were manufactured ( our plant was built in 1954 ) 1954 thru ???. They were still in use in our plant when I started my electrical apprenticeship in 1976.
Had a kitten laughing when the video went from a clean Dan to an absolutely war painted in grunge Dan, great segway to showing off a completed repair. Your work deserves great praise towards functional sturdiness and overall safe operational rescues of great classic cars you found savable when in reality they were only inches from the crusher. The earnestness you convey is absolutely charming, you're free with pricing everything in both Canadian and American funds right down to total costs at the completed driving state which in most cases are worthy of the bragging rights for their economic achievement for out of pocket but the hours are more than a full time job for weeks on some cars. When you do get this Nomad ready to drive the season change is definitely going to restrict it's use unless you have a southern tour set up already.
I’m so wishing my 68 (69 on 12/26) year old body would allow me to do this type of work. 10 back surgeries and upcoming shoulder surgery are so limiting but I will still be in the pits Saturday at our local drag strip.
Your forward vision is always outstanding. You know what you want, get what you need and knock it out. Kept it classic, with killer looks, while enhancing key components, making it much safer. I think that sums up what your channel is all about. Awesome Stuff!
The floor looks good. I tried to use the narrow rims on the front with disc brakes and the rim rubbed the caliper. Hopefully your kit was made for stock rims. You put in lots of hours to make it go that fast. You should try leaving the camera in one spot for a few days and run 3 timelaps overlaps with you working on different areas so it looks like 3 of you are working on a car.
