I wish they will turn the old public market into a mall or something. Because the soon to be 2 malls in Surigao City is far from the port. So that the tourists that will go to Siargao, Dinagat, and other islands can shop easily because the old public market is way closer to the port. And I don’t think the tourists will go to a 15-30min drive just to go to the nearest mall (Gaisano and soon CityMall). And a mall in the center of the city will be a good idea, because it is in the center so people can just walk to the mall and have a fun time there. Which will help the economy and provide jobs for my fellow Surigaonons. Also providing entertainment for the city and boosting commerce. It’s honestly a win-win situation here.

Unfortunately it is 1,100 km away from Ninoy Aquino International Airport. 1 day away via roads, ships.
