I get a delay on my landline phone. It would take about four rings from my cell phone before it picks up on my landline phone. Is there a setting for that? Or do I need to update the firmware?
Is this still a good unit to get. I just cancelled my landline and was looking at either one of the cordless phones with bluetooth or something like cell2jack. I like the cell2jack idea because if I understand it right, I should be able to use my existing cordless phones as well as my wired phones.
@@McPikeVHS I was debating the C2J vs. just picking up one of the Panasonic cordless phones with built in bluetooth connection to phone. They cell them at BJs. 3 phones for $49.99. I realize that is slightly higher than the C2J but I am wondering if it would work better.
@@n1kkri I have a KX-TG7641. Panasonic bluetooth phones can be another good choice. It can act as a telephone line with a little setting in the Bluetooth menu.
It is a cellphone with a bluetooth hand set. You can use the cell voice mail or set up the answering machine on the plugged in phones. You can decide if you want voicemail or your external answering machine to take the call based on how many rings-to-answer you configure.
What happens when iPhone is in silent mode ? Will it still ring ? Also, what if I have already Bluetooth paired with other device. How does that work ? Want to get for my wife’s phone. As she never picks up call when I am out shopping 😅
I can't believe how difficult it is to get old people to change to cellphones using this. I have yet to encounter a home VOIP system that didn't have constant outage issues (almost exclusively used by old people) and yet convincing old people to swap to this--even though it keeps the old number and saves money--is almost imposable. Truly mind boggling.
Some people ‘old’ are otherwise still want to use copper wire operated rotary dial phones, as a look back to much more sensible days before the digital invasion took over everything, by the way I suppose VOIP now classified as ‘old’, Mature folk don’t worry about new technology as long as they can still access the previous system before like everything nowadays is deleted for some newer totally unneeded upgrades, it’s like some kind of arms race, another thing cell phones are not invincible the signal can be Blocked unintentionally or otherwise, ever been in a supermarket and finding NO signal bang goes paying using your cell ‘phone’ same as cash that’s the next thing that’s going to disappear you can pay using your cell phone IF you have a internet connection O and some money in your account, Would life be unbearable without your cell phone well it just might be, in any case get used to it because if a mega war starts you definitely won’t have a working cell phone or any internet connection so without Cash I’m sorry to say we’re all Finished!.
Long term use:
Is it still working well?
Ye
Is it possible to use it for a fax device?

do you also get a delay in the audio when your having a conversation?
No I don’t. But the person on the other end can barely hear me.
@@kvnu2 Did you try making any adjustments to increase your talk audio
@@n1kkri yes but they were still unable to hear me. Probably the landline phone I have isn’t that good in terms of call quality.

I have a friend who has C2J. He really likes it. From what I have gathered, it is reccomended if you do not want to pay for extra phone bills.

You have to have cellular coverage in the area right? I don't have cellular coverage what would you recommend?

Can you screen incoming calls on the answering machine?

Thanks for posting.
Do you need land line service for this? Or just a Wiring install of home phone.
Don't need landline service. Just connect your home phone to cell2jack
No

I like this question did you ever buy one do you know if it ring when cell phone on silent mode on or do not disturb?.
If you have Do not disturb on it will not work but if you have the ringer silent on your cell phone then it should receive the call
at work we have 7 phones. can i place it on hold for anyone else to pick up still?
Will the landline ring when somebody calls me on WhatsApp?
No
my grandparents are giving me a damn headache because they can't figure out a cellphone. I hope this works
Do you have to have a working landline to use cell 2jack?
I had this . They have such a short life span anyway . Better to just buy a Bluetooth gateway then this crap

My criteria is even simpler than using age: Do you have a home "land line?"
Yes: old
