I freaked out when I saw the headline that Wong is out, so I immediately opened my MLB app and looked at the transactions and saw it was only paternity leave. We can't afford him to get hurt right now!
Just looking at these moves it is actually crazy how much depth this team has and it shows that this is one of the reasons why we look like a good baseball team
I was looking at the pitching roster last night trying to figure out who was the next one to be sent down/DFA'd. I thought it would be either Keller, Anderson or Booser, so makes sense.
@@redseatradio I was actually thinking this because I read that Mata is on a rehab assignment and has no options left despite not yet making his MLB debut. Our pitching staff has been pretty solid this season so far so that makes it difficult to make the decision. They're fifth in the majors in WHIP and ERA. I asked Breslow at a STH webinar this offseason how he was going to address pitching and he emphasized getting more out of what we have and he's done that.
Yeah of course there are other factors, but man I wish we had Booser over Campbell. Really not a fan of Campbell since watching his stuff at the start of the season. Is it wrong of me to hope we drop him soon? But hey, hopefully Bailey could turn him around too
If Campbell and Winckowski do well, they could be taking the place of Martin and Jansen. Hendricks should be back at the end of July. This will be a realignment of the bullpen giving it some fresh arms. All they need is a starting pitcher or 2.
@@alt777-in9lw Camobell did not do good last night but I think both Martin and Jansen are gone. I think they will keep Priveta and O'Neil they do not have viable replacements for them. I also expect them to add one starter. But, it will not be a rental unless it is to get rid of Dalbec or Nick Decker or someone like that.
Though sometimes you have no choice during a season of line up changes but you're losing temporarily Wong's .330 bat in the line up and it would be nice to see Devers picking up the slack, right now he's kind of a trick or treat hitter for what he's paid for and his defense is irratic
The Wong move was unexpected, but only hurts for a few days. Good to see Campbell and Winkowski back. Maybe Booser and Criswell will be back soon. I have noticed a trend or pattern in the minors. Many starting pitchers only going 3 or 4 innings, even when pitching well. The workloads of starting pitchers seem to be much lighter today than even a year ago. Not sure if this makes sense. Could baseball be doing this to save pitchers from tired arms and injuries? Will the MLB do the same?
☘️ Wong family...... Boozer is an inspiring member of the team.. I also hope that Cooper criswell comes back soon,, along with Tristan casas,. So glad to see that will your abreu is back. Things are looking good.
I can understand given a player a day off when they're getting into a cool streak but Connor Wong is hot as a pistol you don't give him a day off when he's hot Corbin.
I almost panicked when I saw Connor Wong but am thankful for the reason. These guys just need to learn to conceive children nine months before the off season to avoid the IL. Hopefully Cora is having this discussion with his players. Joking - congrats to Connor! Happy to see Winckowski back. I was literally just thinking about him the other day. Isiah Campbell looked fantastic until that Baltimore series and I guess he must have been pitching hurt those two games. I think we’ll see Cam Booser back at some point, he’s sure earned it.
After seeing what Campbell did in his first appearance back, I rather have Keller than Campbell thus so far. I hope he turns it around because his first appearance was pitiful
When is the Corbin paternity leave? Campbell deserves another shot due to his past success. Winch shouldn't have been sent down in the first place. Breslow is still continuing the Bloom DFA scrap pile patttern too much. Some RS players are being sent down to make room for these DFA guys when their performance is still decent. Chase Anderson was needed, but Keller was redundant.
Idk how much of it is continuing the DFA scrap pile. THe bullpen is deeper than it has been in years and the Red sox are trying to take advantage of that. It's just sometimes that isn't going to work out
@@redseatradio Oh wow, how exciting. He's had 57 at bats zero home runs. Look at his 3 years in Chicago, he sucked, and given more opportunities in Boston, he will continue to suck.
@simplifiedlife8607 I couldn’t care less about his home runs or what he did in Chicago. I care about what he is doing in Boston which is a 102 OPS+ hitting .294. Crazy to say that sucks cause he has no home runs lmao come on now
@@redseatradio Again, let him build up a few actual at bats and get back to me. He will come back to earth and suck. Three years in Chicago and he was nothing but a part time scrub with horrible stats. Are you a relative of his? 😆
Congratulations Conner Wong and his wife great to bring forth a new life. Seems to be the right moves especially Keller
Agreed
@@redseatradio Campbell might be worse than Keller though…sheesh!

same!
Sorry I tried to convey in the title why Wong was in the thumbnail without freaking people out I think it backfired though
Me too!
Omg I just open this hell my heart drop don’t play like tha boii ufff by the way great comeback omgg 34 for life
@@jorgequinones5293 Campbell sucked tonight but they pulled it off despite him! I like this team!
Congratulations Connor Wong!
Just looking at these moves it is actually crazy how much depth this team has and it shows that this is one of the reasons why we look like a good baseball team
Yeah it really is impressive especially in the bullpen
All the moves make sense they desperately need 2 fresh arms in the bullpen for this series. I'm happy for Wong and his family 👏👏
Yeah it should work out okay
Campbell needs to go get DFA
The Sox saved Cora's blunder by removing Tanner in the 7th........should have let the kid try to finish the inning.
Sometimes I get the feeling Breslow and Cora watch Red Seat Radio.
If they did I wouldn’t have to work 2 jobs haha
Keep up the good work, Corbin!
Just heard Booster's story. Injuries and all. Hate to hear he had to go. Hopefully he'll come back up when they expand the rosters.
I hate Isaiah Campbell. I was at the game and he was actually aweful. Guy could do nothing once Tanner came out. Blew Tanners gem
All smart moves. It's good to have depth that allows these. Congrats Connor 👏!!!
Thanks Corbin!
Yeah it’s fun to see how much depth this bullpen has
I love Connor Wong!
Cam Booser belongs on the major league roster. No reason to send him down.
Wink has worked on his upper third zone control in Worchester so.. we'll see how it adds to his go to arsenal.
You do a very good job talking about stuff held my interest
isaiah campbell is the new joely rodriguez.
Yes, I think you're right.
Ya have been beating the where’s Winc drum for a while ..this just shows the depth of this teams bullpen options not a bad problem to have
Yeah it’s really impressive to see.
I think that they are going to need Criswell and Winkowski. I don't squat about Campbell though. Be good to find out.
I was looking at the pitching roster last night trying to figure out who was the next one to be sent down/DFA'd. I thought it would be either Keller, Anderson or Booser, so makes sense.
2/3 ain’t bad

Campbell got the movement back on his fastballs. So you'll see something you haven't really seen before.

They can't replace Martin and Jansen. If it aint' broke then don't fix it.

Yeah I think it’s ultimately to try and save arms as they develop

He had a kid Stephen…Cora didn’t decide to just sit him lol
I know that's why I left the second comment there
Corbin, you can’t scare us like that with that title! 😅😂
What? He is out when a player is injured it will always be in the title
@@redseatradio I was thinking DFA. My mind just went to the worst-case scenario first. 😂 No worries!

It took a full minute to start the info. Notice every all world podcast, Joe Rogan akademiks always go straight into it. Food for thought
corbin retiro lo dicho de isaiah cambell contra Keller y anderson desepciono esta noche del lunes
Should have brought up Teel
Nah not for 3 days and not without AAA experience
can you do a video on the game last night 🤣🤣
Awesome for Connor!! NOT good for my heart Corbin!! My first thought was these idiots traded him
And when Fitts comes up, hope he replaces Chase Anderson
My guess they are slotting Winckowski for the 5th starter.
That’s what I think too
Not on board with Campbell. As soon as he came in I said oh no and sure enough he blew it
It's on Cora for pulling Tanner instead of leaving him in for one more batter.......felt the same when Campbell came in.
Sorry I put that up before I heard that he's going on the paternity list lol
Campbell didn’t translate so well tonight. I think they would’ve been better off keeping Booser.
After seeing what Campbell did in his first appearance back, I rather have Keller than Campbell thus so far. I hope he turns it around because his first appearance was pitiful
I think they sent down the pitching guys just to get them rest.
kyle tiel
Cambel shit the bed today but it’s ok because we won
Campbell has to go. He crumbled under pressure tonight to a weak team. Bring back Booser.
Reese, Campbell, and masa need to just go
You clickbaiting sumagun....you got me going with WONG OUT! Congratulations, Prayers, and good vibes to him and his family
