12:40 I think that kind of peer pressure exists in other countries too, like everyone has to do the same thing. For example, I went to an American high school 10 years ago, and when I told my American classmates that I listened to Taylor Swift, they made fun of me. And when I went home and told my host family about it, even they said, “Men don't listen to country music here lol." After that, I became afraid of being ridiculed by people around me, so I started listening to the music that people around me were listening to, even though I didn't like it. Meanwhile, in Japan, I didn't have any problems when I said I was listening to Taylor Swift, and there was an atmosphere of freedom for everyone to listen to whatever they wanted in Japan. I also trimmed my eyebrows for a while, and some of my American classmates said to me, “ bro, You're a man, why do you trim your eyebrows? In the U.S., surprisingly, there was a peer pressure on appearance, like men should be like this and women should be like that.
As an American, I've travelled to many other states AND met many others from other regions of the US and we all had different experiences growing up due the different region's population, culture, and diversity. Go to the South and tell the men there that "Men don't listen to country music" and see what happens to you.
The alligator question should stay a part of this channel forever! Their facial expressions and the fact that they take the question so seriously is just hilarious! Maybe one day someone will give us the perfect answer and we all finally know what to do when the alligator is facing us.
Such a fun set of questions. Really made me appreciate the culture I’ve been surrounded by lately. Japanese people are really special. They want to conform for the most part but there’s a growing amount that don’t mind being different. I see it in my students and it’s so fascinating to witness the change.
Your dry, sarcastic questions are HILARIOUS LOL!!! Also, I think the dude who got out of prison is a reminder that sometimes being the outcast just means that you decide not to play along with the lies that everyone around you so willingly bows down and swallows.
I think if Jqpan wants to fix its current issues it needs a goal as a country because the group identity and viewing oneself as part of a greater whole is far more important for them then it is for westerners. The Japanese I know feel like they have minimal purpose or value towards society or life and feel trapped without the ability to express themselves or a cause to work towards without being ostracized and ending up alone.
The girls are 12:17 saying they don't watch anime definitely SEEMED like they might not have been 100% honest. I do think that women, even those who actually DO read LN/etc and watch anime are inclined to say they don't. My wife used to claim she never watched it, but she definitely did when we were younger and her mom says she watched it daily as a child/teen.
So interesting the 2 that saw those who conform do better. Exact opposite int he US where if you conform, you're seen as less than human (nerd, no life, mama's boy, boring, etc.)
Interesting point the guy out of prison made. I don’t think Japan will exactly will become a country of poverty but I’m sure it’ll become the new Malaysia whilst the rest of south east Asia overtake and become strong countries. Japan just cannot adapt to change.
We really do not have lots of robots in the U.S. and I have NEVER seen one at a restaurant. I think the U.S. is behind in robotics because we feel they take jobs away from people because they do. When Japanese cannot find jobs because the people have been replaced either fully or part-time by robots, then they do not have money to marry and have children. That is why the Japanese population is shrinking. No jobs, no marriage and/or sex, means no Japanese children and Japan disappearing little by little as a people and country of influence. Robots should not be allowed to take over human jobs that humans should be doing: for example, serving customers in person.
One question for the Japanese women: do all Japanese women follow the cute and pretty boy bands in J-pop and K-pop? I heard in videos that they only go for the idols like they want to be their girlfriends. A TH-camr implied that they should be called "boyfriend bands".
Unfortunately, as a demographics of race my race is and personally HATE it with a passion and I'm referring to how my race views each other's. One of my top pet peeves is racial stereotyping and then gender stereotyping. Being asexual one of reasons on the gender.
@@Haoハオ Thank you for the reply its not cheap here in the US either but having a nice smile and teeth is highly desirable in our culture. Some people here go abroad to latin american to do this work it much cheaper
Such bad taste though, we need more anime like black lagoon or evangelion. Most of those shonen are bad, besides one punch man & full metal alchemist. if someone has real good advices btw.
The guy out of jail spoke facts no bs.
I was totally not surprised when that dude said he went to prison recently lol
how could you keep a straight face on these questions.
"Could you rate your experience (in prison) from 1-10."
"Do you follow the samurai code"
🤣
buzzcut guy said Piccolo! Yes!!!!

@FaysalElAddouti unrelated but interesting indeed.

Great video! U should do a QnA it would be intresting to know more about the person asking questions, like why did u come to Japan?
Lol this was hilarious 😂
On a side note i swear EVERY japanse person ive seen is adorable somehow. Japanese people are cute
I hope you didn't think the guy would give prison a high rating
刑務所から出てきたと言っていた男性の言っていることが 本当にそうだと思います。トー横の問題とかに繋がってくるのかなぁって。
Hey guy! you are so cool! Thanks you!😄
Immeidately that guy said his favourite anime was One Piece I couldn't hold back my laughter
Got that Holy Ghost in the Shell Gospel beginning 😊
I was about to say the only interesting guy obviously was in jail.
you gotta grind for those outsiders
I agree.

1. Workers at big firms 2. Vibrators in every second hones 3. Household appliances 4. Husbands. All of them robots
Great video so funny omoshiroi
2:12 Seems like no robots in prison, disappointed.
14:15 bald guy speaks facts …wordddd.. if you conform individuality disappears (which is some trait westerners emphasize more)
Bro he ain't even bald, don't do him like that

Am I the only one who thinks the guy from prison was kind of like the armed robber in The Fifth Element?
Stereotype: Japan has Pantsu Culture.
Hoku to Ken the best! Yu wa shock,!!!!!

Do the Japanese say Wild Speed for quick? I know that is what they called Fast and Furious there.

What's up with the bad teeth in Japan? Lots of cute girls with bad theeth
日本で歯列矯正をするにはかなり高額なので、日本人は歯列矯正をあまりしません。また、他国と比べて歯並びに対する意識が低いです。私は日本人ですが、近々、歯列矯正をしようと考えています。
Bad? They look even cuter like that... It's bad enough they are starting to shave their pubic hair, let's not have them aligning their teeth too
Its considered cute here
@@ajcph I guess orthodontists done exist there. To me and most of the western world having nice teeth is a sign of beauty and good health

Did the girl in the white sweater just come from the dentist? 😄 Had her hands in front of her mouth the whole time. How annoying.
I don't think so. Maybe she just didn't want others to recognize her.
Seemed like she was about to laugh a lot of the time. It's common for Japanese people to cover their mouths when laughing.
