the first episode played it up like serena and blair would be equally formidable forces going at it but then the series ended up being just blair being powerful and serena being a trainwreck it was incredibly disappointing. it seemed like serena was going to be smart and strong and she ended up being....not

That's what I expected out of Serena after the first episode but she just ended up constantly being a damsel in distress and the times she did try to deal with people who were trying to mess with her she failed miserably
