Actually the same principal works as a buyer's agent. I don't focus on being liked w/a buyer. I give it to them straight & every time they told me they appreciate my directness. In fact vets appreciate it the most...they (& I am one) reaaallly hate BS. Being a buyer's agent is immensely rewarding. Teacher's son (5 yo) drew me a pic in a note pad saying I ❤ my new home .. thank you. That to me was more rewarding than the compensation I received.
You posted a video similar to this a year ago, I decided to put boundaries on my day and start my day out with exercising and focusing on eating properly…. I’ve lost 20 pounds, and I increased my closings by 38%. Focusing on yourself first in the morning and setting boundaries in your day will help you be a better, and more focused, agent. Love your honesty! Its so true! We would rather not take a listing if they won't be realistic and work with true data to sell the home before it expires! Agents aren't being honest enough now and that's why Arizona market times and and expired listings are up!
Telling sellers that there home is actually worth about 10 to 15% less then what they won't is one of the hardest things in this business to do besides lead gen..
Truth number 5 is so real. My last brokerage, all they did was preach marketing and all the "advanced" things they did to sell homes. But ask any one of them the average DOM in the market they sell in.. lol deer in a headlight
People hate telephone solicitors and solicitors-agents-hate being hung up on and yelled at and looked upon like a dirt bag because they are slimy telephone solicitors. It's such a negative thing, there is even a do not call list because people hate them so much. How do realtors get around that and still make the calls? It just seems like that would make you depressed after a while. And if you develop a thick skin so that you don't allow yourself to feel bad then does that make you insensitive towards clients?
One, you have to learn to communicate differently. And even before that, you need to work on your beliefs. If your belief is that your prospect will hate hearing from you and you are just bothering them, you will constnatly be dealing with cognitive dissonance. In my experience people won't call because they hate receiving sales calls. But most sales calls suck, they try to force a conversation and suck at asking appropriate questions. Brandon teaches you much better styles of communication that work and I can 100% attest to that. When I call someone, I'm looking to see if they are the right fit for ME, and if I can help them or not. When I meet someone, my focus is 100% on providing value, not GETTING something, which also sets me apart. You get and give what you focus on.
