Thank you! We will be uploading ice fishing content all winter long and should our next ice fishing video out before the end of November so check back soon!
I noticed you guys aren’t reallly setting hooks on the dead sticks is there a reason for that? I use jawjackers and I need to get my some of those bells cause they will go off and I won’t even know it at times
Ray Marsh good observation. Jawjackers are great and they give you a higher hook up percentage by setting the hook. We would have typically used them as they are legal in Montana however this is a beginner video for folks fishing rainbows nationwide and surprisingly jawjackers are illegal in many states. They are also pretty expensive for new anglers. Anyways, what we were doing was letting the trout set the hook on themselves by keeping the drag tight on rod holders. This lead to a lower conversion rate but it also allowed us to catch and release them (beginner focused). Long story short I recommend jawjackers if you are serious and the state allows them but if you are a beginner or your state doesn’t allow them this method works at about 80% in comparison.

Woah
Adding the plane was an accurate touch. It's basically impossible to ice fish canyon ferry without getting buzzed by an air plane or military chopper.
I use cleats on my boots. Must be cuz I’m old and don’t like going down on the ice.
What are the rattles you guys are using I can’t seem to find any.
