It will vary greatly by lake. This particular lake is deep enough that it doesn't suffer winter kill but several lakes in the Methow Valley lose greater than 75% of their fish during severe winters.
Do you know if you can ice fish at Rainy lake? That's one of my favorite places but I don't know if the lot and the highway are open on that side of the pass in the winter.
Rainbow love hellgramites. Weird how there’s different rules in different places. Those spring loaded auto set rod holders are illegal here. Ontario......
It's known as Alaskan SalmonBear. (Brand name. ) Hey Spilt Milt: nice honest fishing you got going on!!! Ps NOT a subscriber but do watch your videos in my related topics AND good video with Dakota battery - ordered mine and am expecting it any day now... Do you use fuse while using that battery? Thanks and TIGHT LINES!!!
Spilt Milt Productions is that about the shallowest you would consider safe? I went out today on a lake with about 4” of ice but a ton of slush and snow on top. I weigh about 210 but was curious what the “minimum” is?
Love when I see you put another video out. Nice day. Thanks for sharing
I’d say they like that blob pretty good! Looks like a nice day in the lake 👍
You mentioned winter die off. Would you happen to know what the average mortality rate for a lake like that would be?
