Glyn & Father....I swear this is best ever and over-the-top roller coaster ride of emotions video. It is so chock full of great stuff and you and father's narratives, it kept my old heart pumping like I was running a race! 😂 I give it a best in show utube award ever (if there was such a thing to be given)🙂 🏅👍🍀👍
When your ewe took a minute to follow the lambs at the end of the video it reminded me of a story my grandfather told us yesrs ago. Neighbours of his, a husband and wife were taking in two ewes and their lambs but the lambs were not inclined to follow the woman carrying her two lambs. The husband was gone ahead a bit and looked back . He wasn't too impressed and in an exasperated tone he roared back at her ... would you fucking Maaa Bridie!!
Yup! I was sitting in my easy chair laughing like a lunatic at Glyn's squeaky mouse high-pitched whinny like my foals used to do....except Glyn's sort of trailed off into nothingness. I was jumping up & down yelling... Come on Man!!!Get Real! No ewe is gonna be fooled by that weak as a new born kitten sissy maaaa......🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 PS. Glynn if you read this comment, please don't take offense. You are such a man but I think your voice was getting weak & needed a break. 😉
Very busy time ahead for you Glenn! Hope the weather is on your side, it’s been shocking winter for farming. Charlie deserve rest up on the bales, he must be the fittest dog in Ireland!!👍 Great video 👌
Hi Glyn, the amount of rain that you get in the Spring is really something. Glad that you were able to get those twins that were born to safety before anything bad happened. It is hard to believe that another Lambing Season is upon us. Hope that things go smoother than last year and hopefully the weather will cooperate. Glad that you got the footage of Charlie and Buddy laying on top of the large Bales. They both looked so proud of themselves for getting all the way up there. Best wishes for a good Lambing season in 2024.
Great work going on there. I've been looking forward to the lambing season. You do a great sheep impression when you're calling them out of the slats after their lambs! ;)
Great video Guys 👍 it's certainly all systems GO the labour ward, delivery room and mother and Lamb ward all well organized to a fine T.👍💯 Charlie the 👑 of the hay bails and his sidekick, overseeing everything 🥰😂 Sad about the 🦊 get the wee 🐑😢 but I suppose that's nature food chain 😔 Have a wonderful weekend Guys ❤
Place looking spotless there Glyn, fair play, giving yourself best chance of success, another channel on you tube done very little n paid the price, I’m sure you’ll have seen it. Nice thick looking lambs, you’ll be pleased with them, I don’t start until 7 th thank Christ, weather shocking here in Edinburgh. Always watching and learning from yourself n dad, I like to look after my stock and appreciate others who do the same, you’re good to your animals Glyn.
I love listening to u and your dad especially when your dad does something wrong lol you pair have me in tears laughing. Keep up the great work And hoping for some dry weather for you. This year in Australia we have had so much rain it’s probably been nice for the farmers for a change here. Great video
Great video Glyn hope you have a good lambing season I'm nearly finished around 60 or 70 more good few left out. Great video Glyn buddy and (carle I think thats how you spell his name but its fine) Kings of Barnastooka anyway Great video keep it up loving the your fathers storys tell him keep up the great storys there really funny keep the great videos up Glyn 👍
Another awesome video Glyn lambing season underway great start and nice looking lambs Wishing you all the best for lambing you have a busy few weeks ahead hope you have a great crop of lambs and everything goes well Really enjoyed the video as always looking forward to the next one
Hope the weather improves Glynn .We keep a old hairdryer in the lambing shed and we have saved countless lambs after giving them a good dryn.best of luck , hope your lambing is " a fat dog and a rusty spade!".
Welcome back my friend and as always I really appreciate and enjoy watching your lifestyle documentary video channel and you guys bonded so well and doing such an amazing job .. million thanks again and have a wonderful blessing weekend and stay safe .. thanks again from Montreal QC Canada
More videos of the lambing would be great. I know you're knackered with getting up all night to check on them but lambing videos should bring in more subs and viewers. Having a helper will be a blessing to you all. Maybe you can get a nice nap for 15 minutes during the day with the helper keeping an eye out.
The weather would better want to clear up before the busiest of lambing starts. I hope that the fox 🦊 doesn't come to gobble the lambs up. Your videos keep getting better every week! We're just gonna 🙏 for the rain to stop when we start lambing so the rain ☔ would want to clear 👆☔️☔️☔️🌧🌧🌧🌧🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪🐑🐑😬😬🙏🙏💩🌧
We were doing the same things over the last couple of days.our sheep are not due till Palm Sunday but 14 have lambed already. How do you keep your plastic slats so clean?love the videos!❤❤
Best of luck Glenn. Great setup and strong lambs. Good force 9 up here in the Isle of Lewis tonigh tand heavy rain. Planning starts tomorrow. How long do you keep the lambs in?
Some craic. 😂 Would raddling the rams help for next year? Change the colour after a couple of weeks then. You'd have an idea of what's lambing earlier.
If you can give warm ( body temperature) 5% Dextrose subcutaneous to the weak or chilled lambs, you'd be amazed how a lamb will bounce back. 10cc per kg. and you can dose every 2 hours. As well a hot box is so handy to warm really chilled lambs (I've seen lambs born in -40 and stiff come back with dextrose and a hotbox). The lamb start you're giving orally is a great help as well the colostrum. I've used a similar product, gave it to every lamb. Does anyone use coverall buildings in Ireland? Great video, wishing you a successful lambing season.
Glenn did you always look after the farm with your da or did you get into it later in life also be good to hear some of ur stories on the farm growing up
Best of luck with the lambing 2024. Nice to see you have experience with the oxytocin, but be careful with it. Using it on a ringed ewe can be equally as dangerous as it forces the your to contract to push the lamb out. Has the potential to kill the lamb from the pressure and the ewe from potential rupture.
Good luck with the lambing we have just started ourselves still lambing outside the conditions are as bad as I have ever witnessed in 40 years of lambing I think this will be the make or break year for me the mileage on the clock is begining to tell You will have to practice your bleating to attract the ewes to follow
Nearly all’s going well with you. The ringwomb reminds me of the time I took one of mine to the vets as I was getting nowhere and a tail was hanging out.. Vet A forced the cervix causing her to bleed. Vet B then came out and performed a caesarian while she was bleeding to death. I told the partner of the practice that a farmer doesn’t expect a vet to kill his sheep and vet A may learn if the bill is paid from A’s own wages. I did get a very small bill. I would have been more impressed if vet B hadn’t gone ahead, seeing the haemorrhage and elected to euthanise.

very true
Glenn did you always look after the farm with your da or did you get into it later in life also be good to hear some of ur stories on the farm growing up
i lived in Australia for a good few years. took over when my father got abit older to help
Best of luck with the lambing 2024. Nice to see you have experience with the oxytocin, but be careful with it. no haven't came across this yet

Glyn, what ye lost in fertilizer was nothing compared to you and your father's comments..
Legend.😂😂
👍👍😅
Do you take the colostrum straight from the ewe?
ya always
How much would you pay per bale?
60
Where are the cows?🐄🐄🐄🐄🐄
Ya
they will be back in a few weeks. stay tuned
Where do you put the hay for them
outside in a yard
I'm disappointed that the human race ranked my species so low.
Nearly all’s going well with you. The ringwomb reminds me of the time I took one of mine to the vets as I was getting nowhere and a tail was hanging out.. ya its a dose
Why don’t you do a video on the cows and the calf’s
When are the cows calf in
@patscanlon4955 June
Don't be too soar on the old buck he wouldn't of been on TV ever day 😂,
👍😅
Great video ...when will the lambs be ready to sell..??
Thanks alot, appreciated the comment and glad you enjoyed the video
You will need more than two bales of straw
😅😆 i have a good few small squares
Where are the cattle gone
they'll be back in a few weeks. stay tuned
Why did you go back to using the iodine on the navels. Found the bluestone far better last year after ye showed it
im trialing a few things, but bluestone is probably better tbf, stick with it
