When I was a kid we watched Mutual of Omaha's Animal Kingdom every Sunday night after The Disney Program. I have always loved animals and was excited when all kinds of animal shows came on in the 80s & 90s for my kids. They loved Steve Irwin (RIP) and the Kratt brothers' early videos. Both of my adult children love animals/wildlife. They both moved to Montana and see great wildlife daily! I'm hoping to move there myself.

I’m so happy the vaccines weren’t stressful for Kevin. I’m a firm believer that if an animal has to be in captivity that their lives have to be enriching and contact with human as pleasant as possible. This operation went smoothly because of the time taken for conditioning so that the animal gets through it without panicking. Awesome job by all staff.

Lucky for us, this little guy is instead a dream boat. I love that about them and how they are able to do it all without a single flinch. Thanks so much and have a great day ❣️❣️❣️🤓

I used to use a method similar to what the keepers do so that my family’s elderly dog, Oreo, would allow me to give him his insulin, though I didn’t use a contraption. I tapped where I would give Oreo his shot with the cap still on and rewarded him a couple times so he’d know that I meant no harm. And to lessen stress, I also injected the insulin as quickly as I could. He managed to live more than a year because of the insulin. We had to euthanize Oreo a couple weeks ago because of a bad decline in his quality of life.
