- One of the all time greats. Thanks to Skylar for joining me on this one!! I bumped the camera right before this take, without realizing it, and that partially blocked his face 🤦🏻♂️

Had to come here today, what with the news of Kris Kristofferson's passing. A great and classic song that will endure for the ages. You guys did it well. Thank you.
Recovering alcoholic here. This song hits harder than seven months in jail. Thanks to God I got out of it and can listen to this without wanting to die. Thanks guys.✌️
Are you still doing OK?
@@HumanimalChannel Still great. Thanks for asking.👍
You young'uns are giving this old geezer faith in humanity's future.
Some traditions are worth saving, and good music is one of them.
Beautiful rendition. Thank you.
Hey Todd you are speaking for a number of us.
What happens to the Other Favorites??? They are my First Favorites EVER!
A golden performance of a song with lyrics/music so bittersweet they could break the stoniest heart. Thank you Carson and Skylar, once again.
Good job. That's a walk down memory lane for old geezers like me. It's good to see
young people keeping songs of this quality alive.
I love Kris Kristofferson and you two did his song justice.
I hate the "I wish I could like this twice" comment, but I feel I have to comment that now. What a banger
Great stuff
Nice to see brothers playing n sining together.
Thanks for sharing

Great to see Skylar back on! You two gotta tour together!
Carson and Skylar bringing in!!!❤
Really beautiful version Guys. Great choice of a song too. Hard to go wrong with a Kristofferson song huh? You sound amazing together. Great harmony.
Brought me back to Kris and Johnny - just excellent work, guys!
You two should be on a big stage with many people! No doubt, this is what true talent sounds like!
Guitars and harmonies to feed the seeking soul. 🙏🏼
Kris & Johnny would be proud!
Outstanding Performance!🤟🏻
Bella interpretazione saluti dall'Italia
Good job guys. If you guys take requests I’d love to hear Luckenbach, Texas I believe you guys would do an awesome job with that song…. Thanks from East Texas
Great to see today's people playin' KK's music.😊
I've loved this song since before I was old enough to have had a hangover. You guys get 5 stars as always.
God damn son you got a voice ♥️☘️
The 'cleanest dirty shirt' always makes me feel emotional for some reason.
Amazing cover by the brothers McKee! Thanks boys!
Well I woke up Sunday morning
with no way to hold my head, that didn't hurt
and the beer I had for breakfast
wasn't bad so I had one more for dessert
then I fumbled through my closet for my clothes
and found my cleanest dirty shirt
and I shaved my face and combed my hair
and stumbled down the stairs to meet the day
I'd smoked my mind the night before,
on cigarettes and songs I'd been pickin'
I lit my first and watched a small kid
cussin' at a can he was kicking
then I crossed the empty street
and caught the Sunday smell of someone fryin' chicken,
and it took me back to somethin'
I'd lost somewhere somehow along the way
On the Sunday morning sidewalk
wishing Lord that I was stoned
'cause there's something in a Sunday
that makes a body feel alone
and there's nothin' short of dyin'
half as lonesome as the sound
of a sleepy city sidewalk
Sunday mornin' comin' down
In the park I saw a daddy
with a laughing little girl he was swingin'
and I stopped beside a Sunday school
Listened to the song they were singin'
then I headed back for home and
somewhere a lonesome bell was ringin'
and it echoed through the canyons like
the disappearing dreams of yesterday.
On a Sunday morning sidewalk
wishing Lord that I was stoned
'cause there's something in a Sunday
just makes a body feel alone
and there's nothin' short of dyin'
half as lonesome as the sound
of the sleepy city sidewalk
Sunday mornin' comin' down
Bravo!! One of the finest country songs by Kristofferson. Great work!
One of my favorites from Kris
I really enjoyed it
Thank you 👋
One of the best covers I've heard, you two are great. Would really like to hear your version of another Kristopherson tune, Casey's Last Ride. Thanks
Terrific harmony!! Love this Kris K. Song. He is one of the best storytellers of yesterday!!! 😊
First time hearing Skylar - awesome harmonies.
Fabulous Carson and Skylar!
Wow, my favourite song sang by my two favourite singers. Doesn't get any better than that.
Awesome! It was my Dad’s favorite song & he’s been gone 29 years. Brought a tear to my eye.😊
Wow, this is the first time I've heard of y'all. I'm now on the third song by you, Carson. Love it! And Skylar, your harmony on this is perfect! It's been one of my favorite songs for many years.
A superlative performance of landmark song. I expect nothing less from the McKee brothers.
Beautiful
just f******* beautiful.
Great rendition of a timeless classic. Beautiful harmony singing! Thank you!
I really enjoy hearing you two sing and play together. Thank you!
I was thinking last night that it had been a while since the Brothers McKee had posted anything and today you cover one of my all time favorites. thank you, an old man in Arizona appreciates it
I was never a fan of The Other Favourites, too clinical for me, but this is pure feeling. Love it. I'd love to hear you do more John Prine & Towns Van Zandt.
Never fail to impress Carson! This is one of the all time greats and this version is amazing!
Wonderful version of one of my all-time favourites!!
You guys, and the entire Josh Turner crew are as good or better than the people who wrote these songs. I was grieving the music was dying, but you all are keeping it very much alive.
Phase 2, I'm betting you will be stepping up, and writing and playing and singing equally as good tunes. Keep it up. Loving the sounds.
Right up there with Wichita Lineman as one of the greatest. 👏🏻
Perfect! You pick some great songs that all fit your voice. Skyler’s voice blend so well with yours. I have not heard this song in years. Thanks for reminding me of this great song and thank you for sharing your awesome talents with us!
Always a great listen and they stay in their lane. Few know their lane. Well done…
I've heard few people do this song justice; my father was one of them. You two definitely did this song justice! Great job!
This is sublime. There is little more beautiful than sibling harmony. Fantastic job, fellas.
You two harmonize so beautifully. Thanks for this lovely rendition.
Wow, You guys sang that as If you wrote it. Very beautiful and moving, Thanks.
That is beautiful.
So very nice Carson and Skylar
Pretty good. It's not the most difficult song in the world to play and sing. Every busker has it in his/her set list. Having said that, you have a nice, smooth voice which suits the song perfectly. Good job.
As a long time musician now retired, I know how difficult it can be to generate an act and put it out to the public. But, along with many of your other fans I hope you will consider doing just that. With Carson's experience and both of you being so talented it might just work out for you.
Definitely one of the best 'slice of life' songs ever written, thanks Carson!
You had to live it to write a song this good.
Very nice. My dad played this often!
reminds me of Sunday at ABAC in south GA i miss those days
Great job on a great song
BEAUTIFUL-BRAWO from POLAND!
Wow , this rendition makes one's bottom jaw quiver and the eyes well up . I love the sound of the nylon strings on Carson's guitar ! The harmony is sweet and smooth !
Great song, great vocals and guitar work, continued success gentleman!
Just lovely. You brothers are just so good performing together.
Nailed it, sons.
I loved it! Beautiful.❤️✌🏻🎶
All i can say is....holy crap! Perfect.
One of my all time favorite songs and you guys did it justice.
Comb that hair, Skylar! :) j/k
You guys are great! Looking forward to Skylar's own channel when the time comes!
Carson, thank you for this greatful song. When I hear this song from you, Kris or Johnny
I become goose bumps.
Damn these guys are good. What a great tune.
This is real music, very well done
Superb 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏❤️
I'd never heard this before. What an utterly brilliant song and you both performed it beautifully.
Brilliant..... beautiful deep voice.
Nice easy listening music
Highest praise for this stellar performance!
Wonderful and sensitive cover. The vocals are perfect!
KK is one of the best songwriters, great choice of tune. Carson, your voice is well suited to sing his songs. How about the Silver-tongued Devil next eh? 😉
A very polished performance. I love your voices and harmony on this one. Thanks for sharing!
Great version of one of my favorite artist’s songs
😊😊
It brings me back to when I was a kid my dad used to play this song all the time , great work guys 👍
fantastic.
Brilliant..... Fantastic Vocals.
Great job as always, dudes! It's also rad how Skylar's hair matches Carson's mic windscreen :)
Wow ❤ Wow ❤ Wow ❤
That's beautiful gentlemen , very cool .
Beautiful, great job. Excellent harmony. 🤠
Excellent, Thank you
What a voice!!
The Highway Boys!! Love it, good job!!
Fabulous cover guys. Your voices blend together so nicely and the guitar picking is awesome too!
I awoke to rain. Listening to this and that makes me remember.
Thanks ❤
That was great!
Breathtaking rendition 🙏🙌
I "Bookmarked" this.
Bravo!!
Skylar is a cool name.
You never fail to impress me!
Aw, I've always loved this song. It really does feel so lonely. Beautiful job, both of you!
EDIT: The saddest part is he is near a church / Sunday School, but instead of going in and seeking God, he goes back home, and probably goes back to drinking. It's so sad.
@@Yesica1993 you are right! Thank you for pointing this out ... gives me food for thought.
God bless you 🙏
@@seenonyt2210 That's what good music does! Take care.
@@Yesica1993 Yes! Thank you.
Fantastic job guys. Great song and you guys nailed it. Beautiful harmonies.👍👍🇨🇦
Carson, y'all knocked the cover off that one buddy! The acoustic playing from both of y'all is so tasteful and clean. The voices blend so well together!
Love Kris since I was a kid, my father loved him as well. I hate to see him getting older and anticipate his passing, which will be terrible to me! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤. Goat. Good job guys!
Finest kind! Appreciated!
Superb!
I wish I could convey through this how much I enjoyed that. Been a Kris fan since about 1971 - Jesus was a Capricorn album - and this is one of his finest.
