(DIY) Paver Walkway & Polymeric Sand | Techo-Bloc (EVA)

- These pavers are made by (Techo-Bloc) the main walkway paver is called (EVA) the color blend is (Shale Grey).
- The border pavers are also made by them and are called (Hollandstone) the color blend is (Charcoal).
The Polymeric sand is made by ( Alliance ) and the color blend is called ( Slate Grey ).

Great video. I'm getting ready to lay 1200' of that same paver.
1 tip that I would add to your video-
We use a backpack sprayer to set the polymeric. This gives a little more control and helps prevent washing the polymeric out of the joints and pooling on the pavers.

How do you decide whether to lay your border pavers parallel or perpendicular to the field? Not sure what I like more and I'm pretty sure ive seen you do both. Just curious if you have a preference or how you decide that?

Honestly, that is typically up to the customer. I let them decide what border style they prefer.

Okay that's kinda what I figured. I like them how they're done in this video on bigger patio's. I think I like them parallel for smaller projects and walkways. But they both look great!

I have a couple questions. I notice that the pipes aren’t all the way to the edges when you level it. How do you level the material on outside of the pipes. Also, Is it good to have the material under the paver stones go past the paver stones to help with support or end at the edge of the paver stones? Just trying to learn. I really appreciate your videos and look forward to more.

So the material that is further than the pipes still gets leveled as you screed, sometimes minor adjustments are needed when you install the border pavers... And excavating / backfilling at least 6 inches past the end of the pavers is always recommended. Glad you like the videos and thanks for the support! ✌

Hey Stephen, it’s tough to sum up an average cost for this work… but paver installs are normally $23.00-$30.00 per sq ft which covers excavation, backfilling, screeding, laying the pavers, poly sand and concrete edge restraint. All the landscaping around it are add one, charged as separate line items ✌🏻

The price includes everything from excavation, backfill, laying pavers, poly sand and concrete on the edge of the pavers. Lawn repair from excavation and for around the patio / walkway is a separate line item. ✌
