I just wrapped up installing my Teyes 3 + 360 system thanks to your previous video. I did not manage to do the calibration for about a week after I installed the system, and the 360 view I had looks more like it does here because it does not have all the measurements to properly stitch the image. It is unfortunate that the manufacturer did not supply the measurement system like how the Teyes system does. The difference with a proper calibrated 360 camera system is amazing. Thank you for recommending the Teyes + 360 system, and for continuing to review other units.
My wife's car has this feature (OEM) and it's awesome. If Teyes or these guys made it with a 7" screen, I'd be very tempted to try to find a set of mirrors from a junkyard (so I don't screw up my original mirrors if I hate it) and give this a try.

There are so many good android head units in your country. In India, we get pretty bad options which are mostly chinese crap. Yes, even 2 gb units with very bad processors cost around at least $200. And in the name of branded units we have Blaupunkt units which are way too much priced ( like 2 gb ram units with decent processors cost around $300). I hope we get more options in India soon. Btw, love your content.

This is an interesting head unit but reading the reviews on Banggood leaves me concerned by all of the reviews of With Camera versions who ordered what they thought comes with the four cameras only to be told they had to buy them separately when they purchased the unit. The concept of this unit is a good one though.
Hi Guys, after watching the video, I purchased a unit from banggood, I used the discount code that came out to €248 but then banggood sent me an email saying they could not send the unit, if I would like to get it I needed to pay an extra €66 I did so and after really reading all the reviews on banggood I think I am going to regret the purchase. I will post again once the unit arrives. Nevertheless, thank you to the channel as its great to have someone reviewing android units.
If they accepted a coupon and then told me they wouldn't honour the sale, I would have personally just walked away, regardless of how good the unit is. I wonder what that was about. Did they tell you why? Regarding regretting the purchase, I don't think you will. This video was quite transparent with regard to it's performance, including it's flaws so there shouldn't be any surprises when you recieve

No. Not even from the same factory. The components are not even the same. They look the same because they use a standard form factor to fit into specific dashboard environments.
Thanks for the video. I have fitted this system and cameras on my VW Crafter van. The wing mirrors are higher off the ground than a car and the vehicle is a MWB, so longer than a car. Is there any tutorial I wonder for calibrating the cameras in these circumstances? Hi! That T'Eyes CC3 unit you reviewed a while ago looks good to me. I like that it can communicate with CANBUS and do a lot of things automatically like detect the doors are open etc. My question is, do I need a CANBUS decoder box or is that built in? If so, where can I get one? Preferably I'd like to be able to utilize the stock connectors as much as possible and just be able to plug into their harness. My car is a 2016 Kia Soul EV+.

You can choose I think 3 different types of car, such as sedan, SUV. Not actual makes and models of cars. There's no option to upload a 3D model, but that's always possible if you're clever enough, people did it with the Teyes

so lucky, i found your channel... i'm about to put an android head unit into the tiguan 2011 (eu, no facelift) i'll get soon... do you think, this unit (or similar ones) would fit? the way i understand it so far, is double-din-units will fit to the tiguan as long as you put the according cover around the double-din-frame...right?! and because the screen itself sits 'in front' of the dashboard (that's how it looks in your video (9.07)) it pretty much doesn't matter, how big the screen itself is!? i mean - wether 9inch or 10 or 11inch shouldn't be a problem, right?! and one last question in general - do you think a 4core 2gb/32gb-unit would be fine or would you suggest, one step bigger, to 8-core 3/4gb/32/64gb? thanks for a feedback in advance and thank you for your great work, reviewing all these units :)
You're correct about the screen sitting on top of the dashboard. When you're thinking about size, think about what is around the radio that a big screen will cover (buttons, vents ect). The 4 core CPUs are generally quite old and are slow, so definitely go for 8 core. The additional RAM on the higher spec model will also help you.

I think it's one of those head units which are faking their RAM Capacity. I recently bought an android head unit, fairly cheap. Intstalled cpu-z and discovered that the 4GB ram is only 1GB in reality.

@@fabia235 well there must be something hiding in developer's mode but the no password I've tried works. And to be honest, it's ridiculous I have to try to find it for a function that should be switched on by default!
Great review and I've used this extensively installing and setting up my own, purchased a few months back. Went to install 360º cameras but no image shows from the 4 cameras in the 360 app. Wondering if you came across this and have a solution? Weirdly, it does show the cars original reverse camera if plugged into the RCA socket, as the back camera only in the 360 app. So it's as if there's a software configuration needed to tell it to look for the correct camera wiring harness for its images. I thought maybe connection issue with the harness, but tested the indicator trigger wires and they work as expected, so configuration rather than hardware. Any thought greatly appreciated.

If you had to get another unit, now that you've tried a few, what brand would you choose? I may well have to buy a replacement to get the 360 camera feature. Depending on how Banggood go trying to support technical/software issues.

@@SaabUnleashed I did a LOT of too-and-fro with Banggood. They're responsive enough but they couldn't any response at all from their supplier. After two months of trying, they offered me a AUD$50 refund. Kind enough, but no 360 cameras for me I'm afraid. It's not what I'd hoped for when buying this unit (360 cameras were the main selling point for me) but having got this far, we'll use it for a few years yet and look at an upgrade in the future I guess. NOT from these folks though. Very unimpressed that there is zero support available. In the future, we'll go with Teyes (per your suggestion) I reckon. Meanwhile, you don't happen to want to part with your working Kroak one for special price do you? At least yours has 360 camera functionality.
Did you try to put Vivid launcher on this? I bought this Head unit and installed Vivid on it, but it gives me an error for setting permissions. It's posible to use, but everytime Vivid starts, it gives an error for not finding the permissions file and I have to quit Vivid. It then restarts Vivid and everything works fine until I shut the car off for more than a few hours.
@@SaabUnleashed Here is exactly what happens. When I start the unit it goes into radio mode. I then back out of it an Vivid begins to start. It then prompts me for permissions needed for play/pause functionality. I tap "Allow" and it says "The function is not available on this device". I back out of that and it starts up and everything works just fine?!? Maybe Kroak renamed the permission file Vivid tries to access?
@@bosse4905 yeah, my recommendation would be to manually go into the app permissions in Android settings and see if you can enable the permissions like that

Wow I’m glad I came across your channel! I have a 2011 Volvo XC70 with “high performance” audio. I cannot find a way to upgrade my stereo to something like this without losing climate control information since factory pipes that to factory little display the radio also uses. is there any way to control my climate control through these systems that would work on my car? Any systems that would work other than massively overpriced “bluepower blp-950a” as only company advertising this control for my car but specs are defiantly behind the times and hardware functionality is limited. I don’t know if Saab ever did something as stupid as volvo with this piping climate control info to same screen radio uses limiting upgrades. Being both Swedish and you got a bookshelf full of android audio, I figured maybe worth asking.

If it's SIM compatible, the unboxing part of my videos include an explanation of the included cabling, which is where you'd see the SIM holder, and a 4G Antenna. This one does not. Every Android head unit has WiFi
Thanks for the review. I just bought the unit and went through the troubles of installing all camera's (took me two days in total). Now I the automated calibration worked very good, I must say. The sideview camera's work when the indicated is turned on. However, the rearview camer does NOT open up when I am reversing, while I connected the "activation" cable to my rear light. Did you manage to get this rearview camera working correctly?
Yes works fine. Remember there are two sides to the "activiation" trigger wire. One side to the reverse light as you have done, and the other side to the corresponding wire on the loom on the back of the radio which is normally marked "back" or "reverse"
@@SaabUnleashed Ah, thanks. That cable I soldered directly to the input harnass of the camera loom, as I did with the indicator signals. So instead, it has to be connected directy to the 16 pin-ISO conenctor (pink wire). Actually makes sense, luckily we have a clear manual..... uh you! Thx again
Atleast very similar specs like PX5: I think for the money you pay, you would probably find something better on AliExpress. But I guess the reviewer get these units for free.... Can't imagine him buying these all from his own money.

I just told you that this head unit is slower than the PX5 and the review is very honest in all aspects of it's specification and usability, good and bad. I don't know about the UK, as you guys left the European Union. But in the Netherlands, you are suppose to mention it how you got the product. Like did you buy it yourself? Was it send by the seller? Etc etc. I'm not saying you are dishonest in rating the headunit: just I have noticed that most of these head-units, are most likely provided for free by the reseller. I would never even once, consider to order from Banggood. One time I ordered a tablet from Banggood, which took like 4 months to deliver. Remember that most of these head units are not in the UK. They are from China and are shipped worldwide, so you can have them too in India.

Will a std ISO wiring harness adapter work with this headunit?
Shame the Mic is on the Left side, makes that feature fairly useless for RHD users. Love the 360 Cams though.
Built in mics are generally terrible anyway, externals are the way to go

Wait, what? Isn't that HDMI to display stuff on the actual unit itself? Like hook up n play Blu rays or game system etc on it.. Not mirror what's on the head unit to another monitor?
No it's a video out. It should display exactly what is on the head unit display, as I showed in the recent Dasaita review
so lucky, i found your channel... i'm about to put an android head unit into the tiguan 2011 (eu, no facelift) i'll get soon... do you think, this unit (or similar ones) would fit? the way i understand it so far, is double-din-units will fit to the tiguan as long as you put the according cover around the double-din-frame...right?! and because the screen itself sits 'in front' of the dashboard (that's how it looks in your video (9.07)) it pretty much doesn't matter, how big the screen itself is!? i mean - wether 9inch or 10 or 11inch shouldn't be a problem, right?!
and one last question in general - do you think a 4core 2gb/32gb-unit would be fine or would you suggest, one step bigger, to 8-core 3/4gb/32/64gb?

You're correct about the screen sitting on top of the dashboard. When you're thinking about size, think about what is around the radio that a big screen will cover (buttons, vents ect). The 4 core CPUs are generally quite old and are slow, so definitely go for 8 core. The additional RAM on the higher spec model will also help you.

If you use CarPlay / Android Auto, yes. Otherwise you could install google assistant or Alexa or something to enable voice control that way
Is there any chance you could make a Top 10 android head units or a video of maybe 6 or 7 units at different prices? £70, £120, £180, £220, £250+ with 2 or 3 options per price level. Link back to your reviews of the headunits. I'm struggling to find something for the sub £250 mark that I like.

I think it's one of those head units which are faking their RAM Capacity. I recently bought an android head unit, fairly cheap. Intstalled cpu-z and discovered that the 4GB ram is only 1GB in reality.
This one has real RAM, but yes, there are many that fake specification

Great review and I've used this extensively installing and setting up my own, purchased a few months back. Went to install 360º cameras but no image shows from the 4 cameras in the 360 app.
Wondering if you came across this and have a solution?
Weirdly, it does show the cars original reverse camera if plugged into the RCA socket, as the back camera only in the 360 app. So it's as if there's a software configuration needed to tell it to look for the correct camera wiring harness for its images.
I thought maybe connection issue with the harness, but tested the indicator trigger wires and they work as expected, so configuration rather than hardware. Any thought greatly appreciated.
I know that the 360 system requires a specific hardware setup inside the head unit. Are you sure you bought one compatible with this function?

If you had to get another unit, now that you've tried a few, what brand would you choose? I may well have to buy a replacement to get the 360 camera feature. Depending on how Banggood go trying to support technical/software issues.

@@SaabUnleashed I did a LOT of too-and-fro with Banggood. They're responsive enough but they couldn't any response at all from their supplier. After two months of trying, they offered me a AUD$50 refund. Kind enough, but no 360 cameras for me I'm afraid.
It's not what I'd hoped for when buying this unit (360 cameras were the main selling point for me) but having got this far, we'll use it for a few years yet and look at an upgrade in the future I guess. NOT from these folks though. Very unimpressed that there is zero support available. In the future, we'll go with Teyes (per your suggestion) I reckon.
Meanwhile, you don't happen to want to part with your working Kroak one for special price do you? At least yours has 360 camera functionality.
Did you try to put Vivid launcher on this? I bought this Head unit and installed Vivid on it, but it gives me an error for setting permissions. It's posible to use, but everytime Vivid starts, it gives an error for not finding the permissions file and I have to quit Vivid. It then restarts Vivid and everything works fine until I shut the car off for more than a few hours.
Hmm. When I get a chance, I will give this a go. There must be a way to permanently enable those permissions
@@SaabUnleashed Here is exactly what happens. When I start the unit it goes into radio mode. I then back out of it an Vivid begins to start. It then prompts me for permissions needed for play/pause functionality. I tap "Allow" and it says "The function is not available on this device". I back out of that and it starts up and everything works just fine?!? Maybe Kroak renamed the permission file Vivid tries to access?
@@bosse4905 yeah, my recommendation would be to manually go into the app permissions in Android settings and see if you can enable the permissions like that

I have a 2011 Volvo XC70 with “high performance” audio. I cannot find a way to upgrade my stereo to something like this without losing climate control information since factory pipes that to factory little display the radio also uses.
is there any way to control my climate control through these systems that would work on my car? Any systems that would work other than massively overpriced “bluepower blp-950a” as only company advertising this control for my car but specs are defiantly behind the times and hardware functionality is limited.
I don’t know if Saab ever did something as stupid as volvo with this piping climate control info to same screen radio uses limiting upgrades. Being both Swedish and you got a bookshelf full of android audio, I figured maybe worth asking.
I have a Rav4 so would be getting a facia for this plus iso harness at extra cost, but would you recommend this over the teyes cc3 32gb? £260 for CC3 Vs £190 for the Kroak

The vast majority of Android head units brands do not have stock in the UK. You will need to import. The link is in the video description

If it's SIM compatible, the unboxing part of my videos include an explanation of the included cabling, which is where you'd see the SIM holder, and a 4G Antenna. This one does not. Every Android head unit has WiFi
Thanks for the review. I just bought the unit and went through the troubles of installing all camera's (took me two days in total).
Now I the automated calibration worked very good, I must say. The sideview camera's work when the indicated is turned on. However, the rearview camer does NOT open up when I am reversing, while I connected the "activation" cable to my rear light. Did you manage to get this rearview camera working correctly?
Yes works fine. Remember there are two sides to the "activiation" trigger wire. One side to the reverse light as you have done, and the other side to the corresponding wire on the loom on the back of the radio which is normally marked "back" or "reverse"
@@SaabUnleashed Ah, thanks. That cable I soldered directly to the input harnass of the camera loom, as I did with the indicator signals. So instead, it has to be connected directy to the 16 pin-ISO conenctor (pink wire). Actually makes sense, luckily we have a clear manual..... uh you! Thx again

I just told you that this head unit is slower than the PX5 and the review is very honest in all aspects of it's specification and usability, good and bad. I don't get paid for any reviews and I don't make any of them look better than they are.

I don't know about the UK, as you guys left the European Union. But in the Netherlands, you are suppose to mention it how you got the product. Like did you buy it yourself? Was it send by the seller? Etc etc.
I'm not saying you are dishonest in rating the headunit: just I have noticed that most of these head-units, are most likely provided for free by the reseller. I would never even once, consider to order from Banggood.
One time I ordered a tablet from Banggood, which took like 4 months to deliver. Since then I only use AliExpress, when it comes to buying stuff from China.

But there are multiple videos where I have verbally ripped apart products for being sub par. Even this one, I specifically highlighted all negative points. Free or not, the review is unbiased.
