    All Teachers tech videos have helped me understand excel better. It was so intimidating especially with formulas. Even though I still get confused with my work spreadsheets, I'm getting there day by day.

    Very helpful, I was wondering if you could make a short video on how to take a block of cells , that are not a header or footer and freeze them to move with the page up and down. If you could that would be great thank you.

    Another great job on this video, Jamie. Thanks.
    I am having an issue with getting circular reference errors. Maybe I am not coding the correct formula? I am new to using Excel (less than a month). Can you please do a video on this? I am taking 2 columns and subtracting a 3rd and placing the results in another column. Call them A+B-G results in column M. Now, I need to use the results in M and multiply that by column O which is a percentage and place those results in column B. Is this possible? Is that the problem? When I copy the formula down in B, I get a blue arrow connecting columns on other rows with the error dialog box popping up saying I have a circular reference. Am I not allowed to use the results of one calculation to create another calculation? Is it trying to do the multiplication before the addition so that the value in M is non-existent? Must I have these columns adjacent to each other or can they be spread out over the sheet as they are? I have been working on this for days, am I making sense? Please help? Thanks.

    Can “countif wildcards” be applied for data across multiple worksheets? For example, I want to determine how many times a name appears in a current worksheet and all other previous worksheets.

    Hi Jamie, thanks for this, it was inspiring to say the least! I was wondering if you could help (this maybe down to my own understanding or lack of it, rather than your clip). I am working on a spreadsheet and I need to find a formula that demonstrates if a number greater than 0 appears in more than 1 cell, for example in a football game, Team A V Team B, the final result is 2-1 and so Team A have won. What I need to identify is if that both teams have scored then the formula would display a result as YES or NO, or 1 or 0. Can you help?

    Question
    I have a drop-down menu in my spreadsheet
    I used the Countif Function to count the total of the item
    now I am trying to Subtract from that item when drop down is listed as deployed
    Example =COUNTIF('Inventory List'!E5:E209,"p135g")-COUNTIF('Inventory List'!B5:B360,"deployed")
    Keep Getting 0

    I'm trying to get a simple COUNTIFS formula to work where if G3 is greater than 59 and G4 is "Over" it counts 1, BUT I need to do that for multiple sets(ie.G6 is greater than 59 and G7 is "Over"...G9 is greater than 59 and G10 is "Over"...etc. and give me a count for all of those instances. I tried the following but it counts "0" (=COUNTIFS(G3:G56,">59",G3:G56,"Over").

    DOES ANYONE KNOW....How do we count the number of cells in a range that have a hyperlink that was entered via the 'insert link', and that also have text displayed in the cell? The link isn't in the cell display, which is how all your examples work.
