This is just what I needed! Thanks. Learning about these powerful tools really helps, but it would also help to hear the basics, like when entering the criteria 0, the argument needs to be in "", like ">0". Maybe too basic?

Hello @worksmarternotharder thank you for your excellent video. Maybe you could explain the solution to the following problem. What could I do if I had a cell which has the month number in it for example 2 for February depending what month has been selected at first and now I want to use the countifs to tell me how many contracts are still running after the month 2. I cannot type ">2" because the value keeps changing so it looks more like >$J$1. Do happen do have an idea?

a question please, I am working on a sheet for electric bill, so there is rate difference by units consumed, if units consumed are less than 100 the rate is different, is its less then 200 its different and so on so forth for the each 100 units window. how can I set it up so that it automatically knows the value is less then 100 or 200 and with which number it has to multiply the value, please help.
(English is not my first language so I hope you got what I meant)
