I'm a 58 years old woman, learning Excel to apply in my future business. I have to say this is incredible way to learn, very well explain, illustration are easy to follow, and the voice of Jimmy is clear to understand every single word, I hardly recommended to anyone no matter your age. Thanks you so much and keep the good work.

What? A 58 yr old person can't have a future? Are you suggesting any one older than 50 should just sit home and wait to die?
This woman had the mental and physical strength to be learning a new skill with a great attitude....saying what you said just showed how shallow and lazy you are...

This is fantastic. I am self taught with most things in excel and this was always a somewhat intimidating function. After watching this video, I feel like it is child’s play! I would like to see more with the approximate values on the last part of the formula vs exact. How can this be used and how does it determine what values to look for? Thanks!

A little help. This video is perfect, but I have one question. I have set up a table with customers names and addresses. I have two separate columns for the street address as I ship to business all the time. An example would be 123 Butternut Lane, Suite 101, Garner, NC 27529. Having a second column for street address is not always filled in. Put simply it's blank. When doing VLOOKUP using a false statement it returns a zero. How do I get it to leave it blank?

@Teacher's Tech. I had followed the VLookup formula rule for the example you had presented for the employee name and the employee designation it worked. When I tried to use the VLookup formula to get the results for Employee Code and the Employee Salary the results didn't work. Here what I used for the formula =VLOOKUP(I2,B2:F25,5,FALSE) and typed GOTE for the Employee Code the Employee Salary is not showing up It still shows #N/A. Also, when I changed the Employee Code to Employee Name and entered an Employee Name, the Employee Salary is displayed in the box. Can you please help me and let know what I am doing wrong? Thanks

how can I take a column of data and then spit out either a list or somehow mark the answers, for adding an alternating set of numbers.
Example: A column of 0 thru 20. I want to add 3 then 5. Each number gets added to the previous sum.
    0+3=3, 3+5=8, 8+3=11, 11+5=16 etc.
    So I would get a list of 3, 8, 11, 16.

I have a simular colume list but its over 500 namse and need to put catagory numbers for each designation. Its going to take me a week to go down the list and its not the exact names on each line so it still would be difficult to sort list by name and manually enter each line. example> Find all names that contain software and insert 101 where employe code column field next to that name . I will say, I did not know what the "v" stood for and now I do, so thank you. I need help.
I run a baseball league and use basic excel stuff to track stats, rosters, etc. I’m trying something to make life easier. Can I use a master sheet with data and link that data to go into multiple sheets just by? Each team in the league has a tab for its players and salary. I wanted to use a master sheet with all the players and the players salary and link that to all the 24 team tabs. So if a trade occurs I could go to the master sheet with all the players just switch the teams in that sheet and it will then automatically swap those players in the individual team tabs. Is this possible?

Poorly made video!
