- This week, I have begun my niece's girly bedroom makeover and am sharing my progress. We stripped layers of old wallpaper and installed MDF beadboard panels on the wall. Check out our inspo video from last week, and stay tuned for next week's video, where we will install wallpaper and styling.

I appreciate that you broke this into multiple videos because that is how diy life goes. That is how real life is. Also any job worth doing is worth doing right and that usually means take the time it needs...instead of rushing.

Aaah you are such treasure Catherine. BTW if her bed needs to be made bigger, you can create sort off podium with storage/ pull out drawers in the space below where the weird slope is, so once the bed is elevated above it can be extended all the way. I hope I make sense. Grand job, I love that is feminine but in a very tasteful way 💖

My daughter is 41! I still remember doing her bedroom with pink wallpaper and pretty curtains etc.She was 2 yrs old! Time flies!!!🤣

Thanks for explaining who Nanny Siobhan is. In the US, a nanny is a paid carer for children. Your word for nanny would be our grandmother or grandma. It helps understand why she would be making the decisions.
The wallpaper is really pretty, although I did prefer the cherry blossoms. I need to repaper my powder room!

I agree it's so much better to watch it in parts rather than one huge chunk. For me it's so much more manageable as it is for you too. The beadboard looks so pretty…the colour is perfect! The bed is a lovely one for a young girl to grow into. It is a LOT of work, and it’s nice you have company and help.👏🤩

A small chest of drawers under the window with a cap on the window sill across on the top of the drawers might create a cute window seat for reading books in.

What an inspiration you are! I've been feeling sorry for myself, I need soo much work done to my new apartment. It's a new build load of painting. This is my FINAL MOVE. Thank you for the explanation of Nanny, usually in the US, nanny is a babysitter that usually lives with you. Grandma or nana is usually what we say.
