Rob Key could have easily stayed in a comfortable job at Sky but he put his money where his mouth was to make English cricket better and he deserves massive respect for delivering. It’s not been perfect but he acknowledges that and you’d back him to learn quickly. Overall he’s done a class job.
Love the camaraderie you get with all these guys. I like Keysy. I do think he genuinely cares about English cricket and he’s done a lot to improve the Test side
That's what you called an involved and enthusiastic MD of a Cricket Board. He knows the name of the players that are likely to replace if anyone is injured.Thats why these countries have cricket standards so high. They identify the talent, polish it and then it performs at the highest level.Well done to Rob and his whole team
What I love about Rob key is he answered all the questions. Didn’t avoid and very direct. I do think Jofra is on paid holiday but it all explains ‘better’ than the most.
Having listened to the Grade Cricketer a lot and a number of debates about the future of Test Cricket on Sky, it's pretty depressing. I miss the days gone by of SA and WI, even Sri Lanka in England now don't look like they have the experience and know how of days gone by. Don't know where I was going with that but I always view tests as the purest and get nostalgic 😂.
I would say of all the televised sports Sky Sports Cricket has by far the bestbroadcast and content. Love it when these guys all get together. Their insight and chemistry is such a joy. I wonder if their history in county cricket and being a fairly small-knit professionis a reason. Juat down to earth blokes providing great insight and views whilst having a bit of a laugh as well.
Honestly big respect to Rob Key. He saw that the conventional way of thinking wasn’t working for England cricket and flipped it on its head. You’ve still got people hating on him but the proof is in the pudding. Backing attributes and potential for international cricket works wonders if you create the right environment. Picking purely on who scored the most runs and took the most wickets in County Cricket just doesn’t work when the pitches and oppositions in international cricket are so different.
Hi everyone! This was a great talk as always! Would someone please be kind-enough to tell me where this talk took place? Was it inside Lord's, or in a garden that's situated somewhere near just outside of Lord's? Thanks!
Like Robbies thinking 🤔 and the way his trying to improve English 🏴 cricket but the biggest test is yet to come to find out of his formulas will be working - India 🇮🇳 tour of England next year and then the Ashes in Australia 🇦🇺
It's funny to talk about players sent back to county cricket and they don't mention Ollie Robinson who has the lowest bowling average of any England test bowler since Brian Statham, who played his last test in 1968. You'd think it was worth an explanation. It's the equivalent of a batsman who averages about 55 getting jettisoned.
Didn’t he have serious issues in terms of his discipline and commitment to fitness? Injured too easily, bowling slowly even for his style, at some points even bowling offspin presumably because of his back. He wasn’t jettisoned for no reason.
Hi I 'm from sri lanka if you can ask Alen Boader's family to contact East Midlen Hospital doctor Dr Nishantha Silva it will be very helpful to them thanks

I agree - it seems a very cliquey setup, based on who you know. That will quickly become toxic. All professional sport now is heavily data driven - that is how you get success nowadays. This England setup will go horribly wrong
