- Don't read the description before watching the video if you don't want to spoil the outcome of the game. It was not exactly an offensive masterpiece by either team, as the only touchdown of the game was scored by the Carabins' defense on a pick 6 by Kaylyn St-Cyr in the 1st quarter. The 12-6 win for the Carabins means that they are the RSEQ Quebec university football champions.
Would love to see the Dunsmore cup back on CBC or at least streamed live. TVA sport is not available everywhere... I get that most of the interest will be in PQ but some of us in the rest of the country are interested too!
I agree with you 100%, but there's a general lack of Canadian university sports coverage, especially now with networks trying to cut costs as much as possible. In the old days, TSN used to show Canadian university football games on a regular basis. Your name reminds me of someone from around here who used to drive a car at very high speeds.
Sad that there's no English language broadcast of the Quebec product. I hate that this rivalry is existing in relative isolation. I wonder if taking the games off Radio Canada is beneficial for the overall game in Quebec. In the rest-of-Canada, TVA Sport is burried in a TV guide's high numbers, making it essentially invisible. Great atmosphere tho! Looked like a great time!
I didn't even know that TVA Sports was offered as a channel in the rest of Canada. There is a lack of Canadian university sports on TV across the country. It's just not profitable for networks to show those games when hardly anyone watches them. I remember when TSN used to regularly show university football games. The main reason I didn't go to this game was because the Alouettes playoff game was on at the same time and I had to watch it live. I was at the Dunsmore Cup game 2 years ago at the same stadium. The Carabins crowd gets very involved in the game. If you have the time, I invite you to take a look at my videos from other Quebec university football games that I've been to (not too many this year, but a lot from previous years).
@@montrealsports29 Luckily CBC is broadcasting the Uteck and Mitchell Bowl's this year, alongside the Vanier Cup, they might even be taking over OUA broadcasting next year.
@@Dexter037S4 It seems as though CBC is only showing this Saturday's games online, but the Vanier Cup will be shown on TV. TVA Sports has both of Saturday's games on TV.
Akin to Auburn beating Alabama in the Iron Bowl. A big upset.
Are you sure you commented on the right video? This game wasn't an upset. The Carabins were 2-0 vs. Laval during the season.
I wish the RSEQ football games were shown on You Tube besides the OUA games like CBC Sports does
Unfortunately, you need to have TVA Sports to see the RSEQ football games.
tant pis pour le Laval Rouge 🙁 but nice highlights❣️😁
I actually had to translate "tant pis" because, for some reason, I had never heard that in French before. Je ne suis pas parfaitement bilingue! Yes, it was too bad for Laval (don't forget that they also have gold, because they are the Laval Rouge et Or). BTW, this Laval doesn't play in Laval like the Rocket does; it is the Université de Laval, which is near Quebec City. As you could probably tell, I borrowed these highlights from elsewhere, but elsewhere didn't seem to mind because there was no copyright claim. But the big news is that the Alouettes are in the Grey Cup game on Sunday! Aren't you excited?!?!
Assez mavais comme "Highlight" Bravo Montréal
J’ai pris ces faits saillants sur le site de TVA Sports, alors c’est la faute à TVA Sports, pas à moi.
Alors c'est assez ordinaire de TVA @@montrealsports29
