As long as it's a proper ending I don't mind. I don't think TWD is a show where you need a happy family at the end, so if they wanted to subvert comic expectations I wouldn't mind it at all.

The one thing I keep hearing in most of these interviews.. Is the word "closure". The more I watch, the more I'm convinced this is it.
Unrelated theory: I think the 3rd episode titled "bye" is like Rick leaving the CRM
We been asking for a season since the show was announced and before we even knew anything about the story they know how the show is going to do and we are getting a season 2
There’s quite a bit they can set up for a season 2
I hate hearing a lot of hype for episode 4. I feel like it will be hard for it to live up to that hype. When those people saw it, there were no expectations. Now we’re going to be going into it expecting this mind-blowing episode.
I think TOWL is huge in seeing if Gimple is truly the right man for the future of the show. I don't think there would be a change anyway as Gimple seems to be AMC's guy, and he has of course written good stories. His vision for the universe already being set sounds great, but that's all down to whether TOWL Season 1 is amazing, and honestly it needs to be. Because if not, the whole climax of the universe will seem to be uninspired.
All these spinoffs should lead to a walking dead endgame movie.

This is the same thing that's happening with Kenobi season 1. Like Ewan McGregor wants a season 2 etc.
But nobody wants a Kenobi S2 vs everyone wants a TOWL S2.

When TWD season 1 came out back in 2010....there were only 6 episodes, because they want to see how it goes, just like TWD season 1.

Early reviews are out and unfortunately all of them so far that I have read have been negative 5/10 ratings :/
This is a lie almost all of the reviews have been positive, especially about episode 4 while a lot of reviewers have said that it’s a standout in the whole series.
