Inspired by true events, THE REVENANT is an epic story of survival and transformation. While on an expedition into the uncharted American wilderness, legendary explorer Hugh Glass (Leonardo DiCaprio) is brutally attacked by a bear, then left for dead by members of his own hunting team. Glass, refusing to succumb and driven by sheer will and his love for his wife and son, undertakes a 200-mile journey through a gauntlet of dangers, on the trail of the man who betrayed him: John Fitzgerald (Tom Hardy). What begins as a relentless quest for revenge becomes a wild adventure leading towards redemption. THE REVENANT is directed and co-written by Alejandro G. Iñárritu.
I love the enthusiasm and intelligence Scott Mantz brings to his interviews.
It's so wonderful how funny and light Alejandro is!
Innaritu honestly doesn't get the praise he deserves. Birdman is a masterpiece of the modern era, it's an absolutely flawless film, and suddenly flew into my top 15 movies of all time. The Revenant isn't a flawless film but it's absolutely incredible, one of the most visually attractive films of recent years and one the most visceral, raw cinema experiences I have ever had.
+James Porter he already has an oscar , more than one i think but he is a foreigner ! people he will never get the same attention as Leo ;

Leo lived a FULL LIFE. nobody can claim he worked with ALL GREATEST FILM DIRECTORS in his career. Gosh. Spielberg, Scorsese, Tarantino, Nolan, James Cameron and now Innaritu. Like boooooy! Who needs an Oscar? Lol

It is great to listen to such intelligent responses from actors who clearly love their craft and the process they immerse themselves in .. Film can be such a mind blowing art form ... Hollywood needs more of this .. Well done to the interviewer who kept the questions brief but succinct enough to allow the artists to provide an insight into their world .. Well done all .. Looking forward to seeing the movie this afternoon

Have to put the film on my Must list---if Leo is as good as he is in most of his films, it will be a worthwhile couple of hours.
This was an amazing film. I mean have seen some films over the past few months but this one had to be the most visually disturbing and stunning at the same time. You are fully immersed in the experience without 3D , IMAX or words sometimes. The awards are well deserved .

Fort Kiowa is the North of ocoma SD across the town of Chamberlain on the Missouri River. The movie is about frontier life on Dakota territory [ south Dakota] during the early 1800s.

The oldest ancient plains Indian War in South Dakota. The crow creek massacre eight hundred years ago was attacked and killed also destroyed by a 1,200 arikara's Indian warriors party on a peaceful Mandan Indian village of 240 people. The new burial ground is on top of a tall hill along the Missouri River 16 miles southeast from Fort Thompson SD. During the 1870's science researchers found the site over a hundred feet from the highway. The oldest ancient War on the Great plains.

There are two things: 1. rehearse all day long, and 2. improvisation. Some people think the constant repetition of a topic, a movement, a script, a philosophy, or a breath, is not related to improvisation, but it's a lie. How many rehearsals Beethoven did do before improvising the Fifth Symphony? I think everyone understands now that repetition of a script is unskippable to be able to "breathe improvisation." The fight with the grizzlie makes me think about everyone's fight for the truth. Love U Leo ❤️ xx
