Something you said, about things changing, often said workers are lazy, dont want to change and are stuck in their ways, I have never stop learning, in every job there are always new things coming, new products, new assembly methods, perhaps in the past a car would need a refresh, head off, grind in the valves, a decoke and new gaskets, today its code reader, direct injection, electric controls on everything, its an endless training and retraining, learning new methods, 20 years back who would have ever thought you could program a gearbox, its a never ending game.

I do very much agree, this business have gone from a trade for early school leavers to technicians having to be highly educated just to stay on top.
That is actually why I started doing videos to log complicated repairs for myself and to share with other that might struggle with similar 😉🙏🙏🙏🙏

I'd a 1.6 petrol Picasso (2004/2005 - I don't remember) that had 450k on the clock & still ran like a champ - I would have considered it an impossibility because "Citroen"/"Petrol" - if I didn't also have a Citroen Dispatch that had 440k on its clock and still did a full days work. . How a 1.6l petrol French car ran great at 450K miles without anything getting rebuilt did baffle me- but it did & it was a great car to drive even at that mileage. I have a soft spot for these, even if they have their foibles. Neither ever got to cool - one driver would hop out, another would hop in and head off - but maintenance was always always done on the button - they never ran with old oil or filters. At the same craic - never getting cold - we'd Landcruisers that did 60K in 6 months that crapped every major component while the Citroens stayed running.

Some of the French stuff can surprise you, great running gear. We had an 2005 Primastar taxi that the clock turned from 999,999 kms to 000,000. 12 months later everyone wondered how it was so wrecked when it had on 50,000 done😂😂😂

Thanks for showing this, when I have done that I can't help thinking, is this button pressing and turning the ignition on and off really necessary. It's good to know that it's not all for nothing. Cheers Matt

It took quite a while to do Matt & something that could be overlooked when pricing. Possibly the reason the last guy gave up on it 🤷🏼‍♂️
I was sure I was wasting my time doing it due to the clutch slipping but I’m surprised each and every day in this trade.
      Thank you Matt 🙏🙏

I am just thinking about getting Snapon because AUTEL Ultra 5K machine says crap, and then you select it and it either says done and you know its not, or cant do it. I have borrowed Snapon ZEUS from a friend and that has instantly done what was needed. Only the weird part is this. See this writing on this guys Snapon. Word for Word its the same as on my Autel ULTRA.

I've got the same issue. Tried programming it.
You mentioned start and stop 3 times. Instructions said 4 times then wait 5 minutes before turning it off after you do it 3 times.
Did you just drive it and stop a few times and reset the computer or as the instructions say above?

I actually cannot remember the exact procedure but only carried out what it asked me to do. And it worked successfully, but if your scantool is requesting different, I’d do whatever is asks. It should all work as planned then 🤞🤞
