According to quality surveys..Porsche makes the best made cars in terms of build quality..over any other car maker in the world. The fact that they are such beautiful cars is the icing on the cake. =)
I had wanted a Porsche since being a lad. I was fortunate enough to own one. Although in recent years I have had a plethora of Italian, British and French cars. I have to say each of those countries built fabulous cars, the British made fun, pretty and cheapish sports cars, the French quirky interesting cars and the Italians can make a shopping trolley feel like a GP car. However, only Porsche tick all of those boxes. Superb engineering always, experimental quirkiness is in every car they have made, fun to drive is their first principle. Sure, they do not make cheap cars, but if you really want one they are affordable and worth sacrificing a few pointless luxuries to afford. Dr P was a car guy. Porsches are car guys cars.
its not the NSX's fault, its the fact that most old fogeys that can afford these wonderful machines could get beaten on a downhill mountain road by kids like me in a 240SX when they have a 150-200 HP advantage, Ill upgrade to a 944, then 911(930) before Im 30 I hope.
I love and respect Porsche but to me, I feel like the excessive praising, hype, and constantly putting the brand on a pedestal just ruins it for me. It’s odd that no one could bring themselves to really “hate” on it, and I get why. Their vehicles have a reputation for being high-quality, reliable, and offer different levels performance depending on the model. I’m only delving into this “Porsche love” recently, so I may see more praise and compliments from owners and fans alike that I am yet to understand. They’ve also got a solid reputation when it comes to endurance races, something they’ve been doing since the 1950s I think…which is impressive considering that they’ve won on several events such as Le Mans, Daytona, etc. Damn, are they just that good? It’s almost like everyone can agree that Porsche is just the best….I’m actually curious if there are people who genuinely hate this brand for some reason. It’s like whenever the brand becomes a topic, you’ll see many people talking about how they’re so great, blablabla. I’m just flabbergasted
nah, I agree with you on the supercar thing, they put driver aids because most old people would crash without them, and its my friends 240. I personally think the veyron is whats wrong with modern supercars, its heavy and hella computers, the RUF CTR Yellowbird was perfection on wheels, and I would choose the 911GT1 over the Veyron anyday, I think you would agree, unless your a McLaren F1 guy and that car is equally as awesome as the 911GT1, I just think the 911GT1 looks better
i highly doubt that and maybe if thats so it wasnt one from this decade,the cars are masterpieces and this is coming from a meat and potatoes american who grew up on muscle cars ,they honestly are unbreakable works of art
Ferdenand Porshe designed the type1 and 2 VW. It was his son who designed the first 356a coupe. It was always a seperate company, had nothing to do with VW. It was privately owned. VW was handed over to lower saxony in 1948 or so. VW Aquired Audi in he 60's fully, they were also a seperate company. Ferdinand never built the car for Hitler he built it for the masses, witch the 3rd reich exploited the desing during it's production stages.

Volkswagen bought Bugatti and used their design team.They put their w-16 in it. The cars sold out before they were built. They took over Lambo as well. They put their technologies in the engine and drive systems, in a short 3 years the lambos are hotter than the ferrari's because their engines are built with better tolerances, and will break down less. Old Lambo valve job= 25 to 30K.??
Yep. Porsche controls the largerst european auto empire. Bentley, skoda , seat ,vw, audi, bugatti, and lambroghini. My mechanic used to say "the only thing that new (996 and onward) Porsche's have in common with beetles is that theor engines are in the rear and that Porsche uses vw engines to the fans at the factory's. Strictly that isn't true but Porsche controls vw not the other way aroundf. And subsequretly have a staake in the above manufacturers.
But how does Porsche support the customer when the car writes itself off? Like it did with our 911 turbo s when the steering wheel locked up and the car smashed into the side of a mountain pass at 97km per hour. Porsche not interested in this accident

@AdamGuba you will be hard pressed to find anyone that would agree with you about the NSX. the R32 and R33 Skylines were the best cars Japan ever turned out by far. The current GT-R is far better than any NSX that ever ran. Not to mention the J2Z turbo Supra was better than an NSX also. If they ever built an NSX with more power and with decent handling then sure, it could be argued but that never happen and thus it is only a mediocre sports car at best.
VW won't put any money into Porsche. That's just straight out silly, because Porsche owns the majority of the VW-Audi Group. Porsche make a lot of money with their cars right now and aren't short of money. I think Porsche should stay as they are now and from time to time release some insane cars like the GT. Also they should concentrate of racing like the ALMS and maybe develop a LMP 1 can and take it to Le Mans. They should leave the meaningless speed-peen comparing to others.
Porsche AG. tried to aquire the majority of VW shares 2 years ago but were met with opposition from the German Government, primarily from the lower Saxony share holder's who still owned 20%. VW will be run better, the people's car once again. It got too beurocratic and repetative. I'm glad Porsche controls the board now...

why is volkwagon puting money into bugatti instead of porsche preahaps we could of had a good looking luxury 400kmh porsche and it would have been beter than the veyron coz the veyron is ugly

The 959 was astounding. However, one has to admit that the Carrera GT is pretty amazing and inovative as well.
