Seeing the wall in Asgard for the first time blew me way I also think jotunheim was one of the better looking realms for sure but it’s gameplay sections and the way it disrupts pacing make it one of my least favorite realms
Honestly I LOOVE the final Thor fight. For it looks like the really good balance between epicness and mechanics. The fight is mechanically rich, while still having some dope as§ cutscenes. I mean, the violent clashing of the axe and Mjornir is just 🔥
I do wish the fight moved around more. It would be awesome to fight Thor on the Wall before moving to the Einjehiar(?) training grounds and ending at the Great Lodge.
8:34 FINALLY someone agrees. While I wanted more spectacle out of the final Thor fight (same with the Odin fight), there’s so much to love about it. His upgraded move set is fun and fair to dodge. The dialogue. Matching his lightning state with Spartan rage. And the MUSIC in the 3rd phase…

Zesty, what do you think about the next GoW game being a flashback game? Kratos shares his whole past with Atreus and the whole ragnarok crew in the current time and we are always having playable flashbacks of all the major greek era bosses as soon as Kratos reaches that certain point in his narration. That would be the most unique way of remaking the old games (plus a lot of the assets and levels would be ready, making whole game remakes easier). Then, the flashbacks end and Kratos prepares to leave to another mythology, or a cliffhanger. This idea hits 2 birds with 1 stone in my eyes. In my eyes, this ranking shall be 9: Jotunheim- Just a sh*tty 2 hour walkie-talkie and all you can do post game is return there to collect a flower. New Game+ forgot to allow us to skip this. "Trash" rank. 8: Nifilheim- One part is a training session that's cool in its own way, give us neat rewards for collecting ravens, and the post game side mission is good. "Okay" rank. 7: Alfheim- Just alright landscape with good enemy combat, but the optional sand areas are pretty good, especially after freeing the Hungfuga. "Pretty decent" rank. 6: Helheim- It's not as horror esque like the 2018 version, but it has a good length with an interesting side quest. "Good" rank. 5: Asgard- A fun starting visit with a good guantlet section, and the Thor & Odin bosses are good, just needed more of a climactic push. "Very good" rank. 4: Midgard- A great starting area, a great mid-game area, and a great post-game area with just the right challenge and area, not as good as 2018 though. "Great" rank. 3: Musphelheim- Shame the first is an Atraus section, but the challenges you get there late-game, the Crucible, and the valkyrie bosses (all 3) make it an epic "gaming" section. "Epic" rank. 2: Vanaheim- A worthy spectable of the realms with not one, but two great boss fights. Many obstacles and enemies, the night and day shifting, and also the Crater, Sinkholes, and Jungle side areas are ridiculously good exploration, let's not forget the Well of Urd is just farming galore. Only thing holding it back is that Freya is such a B in the first visit. "Amazing" rank. 1: Svartelfheim- The true home realm of Ragnarok, where challenge and quests and fun all kick in and it is a blast. The amount of stuff to do here is on the same level of Vanaheim, but without the plants blocking your path so you can pretty much anywhere once you finish the main quest there. Also the Spear and Brok cinematic is is just so good, Kratos is true to his homie. "Masterpiece" rank.
I really think they improved Muspelheim, Helheim and Jötunheim. It's also cool to see the differences in status at Alfheim, Niflheim and Midgard. By the way, here is my ranking of all realms: 9. Midgard (Just Earth. This realm is really large and traveling through it can be tiring. Snow makes it even more boring.) 8. Muspelheim (I think fire and lava are really cool, but aside from admiring them, I get tired of this realm really quickly. However, the Spark of the World is truly something else!) 7. Asgard (I'm really bummed to rank it so low, but I was honestly disappointed. The landscape is beautiful, but I expected more from the village/city. I don't need a super-modern golden palace like in the MCU, but it could've had a bit more grandeur.) 6. Jötunheim (I know that's the concept behind the Giants, but even after Ragnarok, this realm still feels so mysterious. I sense there's more to explore. However, what we did see was beautiful.) 5. Helheim (This realm does exactly what it's supposed to do. It's eerie, cold, and desolate. The giant eagle and Garm were impressive. Not bad, but not particularly outstanding either.) 4. Alfheim (I personally find it hellish to get through, but the beauty makes up for it. The desert with the flying jellyfish is amazing!) 3. Niflheim (Like Muspelheim, there isn't much to do here besides challenges. However, I found the maze to be a much more engaging concept. And the look of this realm is truly fantastic. The cursed mist section is so ominous, while the ice section is simply stunning.) 2. Vanaheim (Interestingly, I initially found this realm really terrible. But that was because I often didn't know where to go, and my PS4 Pro struggled to load everything, causing a lot of glitches and worries. When I continued playing the game on the PS5, I started to discover the beauty and variety of this realm. It's truly amazing how you can also switch between day and night and slowly help restore the realm to its former glory with the side quests.) 1. Svartalfheim (The homeworld of my favorite Dwarves. Besides the fantastic landscape design, I really enjoy seeing how the Dwarves have integrated themselves. The music, the village, the industry, the mines. The realm has various 'layers' with different vibes. You can chill by the water near the bustling dwarf houses, explore the deserted mines underground, or hike up the mountain for some peace and a great view. I love it!) Quite a long comment, but thanks for reading!
With regards to Jotunheim, I often thought that games that focus too much on story aren't "real" games because they sacrifice what makes games truly unique (interaction) to essentially become movies. However, and I don't mean you by this, you can't really say anything against that when there are people who enjoy that. I enjoy stories as much as anyone, but I think there needs to be a good balance. Jotunheim didn't have that balance. Thankfully, it's "only" 2-3 hours long. Edit: I probably still would have put Niflheim below Jotunheim because I don't find it that visually interesting, and there really isn't much to do there (I think they should have done more with most of the nine world's in general for that matter). I might change my opinion though, if I ever play it again.
I do wish you talked about the content that each realm has. Man Helheim's Content is lackluster. That's why I didn't like it much. Also kill me for not looking at The Forge. I didn't even look at it.
Muspelheim is clearly the best realm in my opinion besides surtr’s challenges you get to fight 2 of the best boss fights in the entire series gna , hrist ,and mist Also I have a question if u don’t mind. Is your name really zesty?
9. Jotunheim (boring) 8. Svartlheim (Idk, the realm looks so plane and basic. Second visit is way better though) 7 Alfheim (I prefered in 2018, I like the temples look though) 6 Niffelheim (not many things to do, but looks great) 5 Helheim (love it, just they aren't many things to do) 4 Vanaheim (love, especially in the night) 3 Midgard ( really like how it looks. Snow fits this realm so much) 2 Muspelheim (love this vibe) 1 Asgard (gorgeous)

Would of been better if kratos didnt spar thor he literally pulled up to his house broke his roof left atreus with odin only with mimir almost killed him and who knows how long or where he would come back after dieing and if it wasnt sindri that gave atreus a free get out of jail card when thor was about to kill him he would have died and then hes angry that kratos pulled up to his house and "was going to hurt his daughter"
@@ExtremeGameplays1 imagine vidar hermod Odin Brothers 🥶🔥🔥
My personal ranking of the 9 realms
9 Niflheim
8 Alfheim
7 Midgard
6 Helheim
5 Jutunheim
4 Muspelheim
3 Asgard
2 Svartalheim
1 Vanaheim
Yo zesty, what do you say about them changing the Hyperion grapple, in the trailer Kratos uses both blades to ram the enemy, but in the final product he only uses ONE blade, JUST ONE, I just don’t get it why they changed that attack
The problem is not using one blade or two, it's the utility. The move is sadly no longer a knockback attack. Still good for approaching and all that.
@@ExtremeGameplays1 same, wished it was just as strong as Gow 3, ngl the combat is the best in the franchise still, is it your favourite or Gow 3? Don’t delete my reply 😂
I really wanted more info on Nifilheim.
The structures that were built? Was that a temple?
who lived there? Ivaldis shop was far enough away that it was “warmer” and obviously dwarves were there at a point
the dead giant creatures?
the dead warrior bodies?everywhere, how cold is it-can humans survive?
My ADHD brain was spinning like crazy 😂
didnt know you can blow up those barrels or release gasoline to set it on fire 😮
In my eyes, this ranking shall be
9: Jotunheim- Just a sh*tty 2 hour walkie-talkie and all you can do post game is return there to collect a flower.
Vanaheim is my fav, Midgard is a close 2nd though!
Idk what u mean by epic in the Asgard section lol to me it felt pretty epic and it sounds like it did for u as well so I don’t get what u mean
I really think they improved Muspelheim, Helheim and Jötunheim. It's also cool to see the differences in status at Alfheim, Niflheim and Midgard.
By the way, here is my ranking of all realms:
9. Midgard (Just Earth. This realm is really large and traveling through it can be tiring. Snow makes it even more boring.)
8. Muspelheim (I think fire and lava are really cool, but aside from admiring them, I get tired of this realm really quickly. However, the Spark of the World is truly something else!)
7. Asgard (I'm really bummed to rank it so low, but I was honestly disappointed. The landscape is beautiful, but I expected more from the village/city. I don't need a super-modern golden palace like in the MCU, but it could've had a bit more grandeur.)
6. Jötunheim (I know that's the concept behind the Giants, but even after Ragnarok, this realm still feels so mysterious. I sense there's more to explore. However, what we did see was beautiful.)
5. Helheim (This realm does exactly what it's supposed to do. It's eerie, cold, and desolate. The giant eagle and Garm were impressive. Not bad, but not particularly outstanding either.)
4. Alfheim (I personally find it hellish to get through, but the beauty makes up for it. The desert with the flying jellyfish is amazing!)
3. Niflheim (Like Muspelheim, there isn't much to do here besides challenges. However, I found the maze to be a much more engaging concept. And the look of this realm is truly fantastic. The cursed mist section is so ominous, while the ice section is simply stunning.)
2. It's truly amazing how you can also switch between day and night and slowly help restore the realm to its former glory with the side quests.)
1. I love it!)
Quite a long comment, but thanks for reading!
Man ever since you showed me how to turn off the dialogs the game looks 10000000000 times better
Bro whats with the undertaker music 😂
Video idea : Top 5 Cyclone of Chaos
my favorite realm is vanaheim because it reminds me of where i live
why they changed nifiheim so much from the original game .i liked the misty atmosphere man. wished they expand upon that
Bro call Atreus a little shit is friking hilarious
So you finish Ragnarok again ?
Idk what people mean when they say the thor and odin boss fights weren't epic. They were amazing, tho mostly bc ppl have their music off
10:11 the plants I disliked tho but I do agree
I do wish you talked about the content that each realm has. Man Helheim's Content is lackluster. That's why I didn't like it much.
Also kill me for not looking at The Forge. I didn't even look at it.
Vanaheim is literally 2 realms worth of content with the crater though. And the crater is completely optional, it's like a whore other realm.
Muspelheim is clearly the best realm in my opinion besides surtr’s challenges you get to fight 2 of the best boss fights in the entire series gna , hrist ,and mist
Also I have a question if u don’t mind. Is your name really zesty?
3:34 HE SAID NIPPLEHEIM
9. Jotunheim (boring)
8. Svartlheim (Idk, the realm looks so plane and basic. Second visit is way better though)
7 Alfheim (I prefered in 2018, I like the temples look though)
6 Niffelheim (not many things to do, but looks great)
5 Helheim (love it, just they aren't many things to do)
4 Vanaheim (love, especially in the night)
3 Midgard ( really like how it looks. Snow fits this realm so much)
2 Muspelheim (love this vibe)
1 Asgard (gorgeous)
Let me fix that
1 : asgard
2 : muspheleim (bcs of the space area)
3 : svartalfeim
4 : alfeim
5 : midgard
6 : jotunheim
7 : nifelheim
8 : helheim
9 : vanaheim (long af with annoying plants everywhere and the house of every dragons that exists)
Finally someone that hates vanaheim
@@thestorm5526 There are 5 things I hate in ragnarok
1 : playing atreus with his rage that goes down faster than an iphone battery
2 : the vanaheim wolf with the wolverine claws
3 : the svartalfeim ememy that keeps dodging and throw poison like a minecraft potion
4 : nornir chest where the norns are miles away from the chest
5 : vamaheim with puzzles everywhere just to have a chest, hidden plants so you take damage, dead people that won't shut the hell up but still ask you a quest, and the fact that some places are locked in the night so you have to go back to call the d*mn wolf
@@thedarkv0id_256 wolvers imo are fun to fight even in 2018 but everything else sucks even just playing as boy is so much worse than playing as kratos

Game says: Fimble Winter affects every realm differently
Actual Game: 3 realms are icy
Affects every Realm *differently* Meaning that not every Realm is full of ice
@@dawipeach8948 I think you misunderstood my comment
@@Flipitmixit “Game says: Fimble Winter affects every realm differently. Actual Game: 3 Realms are icy”
@@dawipeach8948 So how does 3 icy realms show us that they are affected Differently?
@@Flipitmixit Because the game itself says that they are affected differently. Midgard has snow, while Svartalfheim has more geysers and earthquakes
For me Muspelheim is the best world in gow 4 and in gow ragnarok)
1- Vanaheim
2- Svartalfheim
3- Alfheim
4- Midgard
5- Muspelheim
6- Niflheim
7- Helheim
8- Asgard
9- Jotunheim
U should do this for 2018 too
I personally would switch 2, and 1.
i knew it from the start the worst realm is gonna be joutenheim and i was right and i agree with 10000% guranteed
I can’t name one good cool realm in the new GOW games besides Alfheim.
I loved nilfheim in the 2018 when it had the gimmick, not so much in ragnarok though
I'm really disappointed with asgard's design...it literally just looks like a viking village
I really expected something like mount Olympus something godly
Not everything is set to be a great fortress castle of gold, its has a more viking feels to it like the great lodge, most people expected the usual marvel fantasy while this one hit the highest society type village
@@BurtRivera-lh1lv an idea I would've liked is to have asgard as a town yes but more magical with that godly feel to it in every corner your sight comes upon
But in the middle you have Odin's little house
That would be more meaningful and will give loki's comment on it more weight to it
It is because the æsir does not have the architectural skill like the dwarves and Elves, and Heimdall emphasized it well when we first see it as Atreus as something grand like Olympus, but Heimdall stated that true power does not surround in grandiosity
@@thirdvortex2600 then it would've been the usual magical god realm, but i see it like the greatest clans village style, it wasn't the village design but the lack of gods
You forgot about the best one the realm between the realms
I'm my opinion GOW 2018 Had different elements in different realms which made it unique, but in Ragnarok most of the realms are covered in ice .why!? Cuz it's Ragnarok?
And BTW My favourite realm is Muspelheim.❤
It's funny I started this video think svartlehiem gotta be my least favorite lol
i feel like he left out a lot of the side quests/post game content
9: Alfheim
I really hate Alfheim. It looks fine but the missions are good awful. I only came back there for fhe Berserkers and the Eyes of Odin
8: Jotünheim
Its pretty boring during missions but after game I like it since i can pet Garm and talk with Angrboda.
7: Helheim
I dont like the missions and dont really like the look. Only came back here for the Eyes of Odin
6: Niflheim
Its alright I like the Battle Arena after New Game+ and I like the Berserker. Either than that, the Raven Keeper is pretty good
5: Midgard
Midgard is decent. I dont really like all the ice and snow, but i like Hròlf and the Raiders are pretty good.
4: Musphelheim
I hate the crucible its annoying but i do like Surtr's Forge and I LOVE the Spark of the World
3: Vanaheim
I love the Crater, however Vanaheim is pretty confusing and there is so many damn quests
2: Svartalfheim
Its pretty good i like the atmosphere, Nidavellir is epic and I like the Bay of Bounty and the Berserkers
1: Asgard
I love the look of this place. I also loved the boss fights and the big wall and the town. Its very good
My ranking:
9. Jotunheim
8. Niflheim
7. Helheim
6. Musphelheim
5. Alfheim
4. Midgard
3. Asgard
2. Svartalfheim
1. Vanaheim
Am I the obly one who hates muspelheim😭 I really didn't like challenges in 2018 and it holds up the same amount of hate
