Lara said: "You caught me off guard!" Her fans arranged this with the approval of her pianist to express their love for Lara during a low point in her life at only 31 (a recent breakup, professional set back, physical and emotional distress). Je T'aime was one of her first songs she wrote with Rick Allison when she left Belgian to move to Canada at 19. This is her signature song there are subtitles for this performance.

Lara Fabian allows the fans to sing the first voice. The pianist begins to play on the singing of the audience . Lara sings the second voice and sings around the singing of her fans. So well done, so beautiful
Vocally the audience was pretty solid, too. That was really cool! They had the song's timing down-pat and EVERYBODY contributed. Great singers, every one of them. :)
This was apparently planned by the fans and the pianist. Lara was going through rough times and they wanted to cheer her up. The audience replaced Je t'aime with On t'aime which basically makes it "We love you"
Beautiful reaction my friend Nina❤!!...For me Lara is the most beautiful singer and you are the most beautiful reactor on TH-cam 😊😊!!...Thank you and a big hug for you🎉!!
hello, Lara Fabian sings in more than 12 different languages and is fluent in French, Italian, English and Spanish, her musical repertoire is very varied and covers Barbara Streisand, Whitney Houston, Maria Caray, an exceptional and authentic artist and also a source of inspiration for many young singers like dimash she takes you on these journeys of the heart, of the soul, of the spirit, through the sound of her voice for the time of a song thank you Lara
Great reaction to such an emotional performance. My favourite female singer. I highly recommend Je Suis Malade. It's incredible and just as emotional maybe more so. After that listen to Caruso, Broken Vow, Love by Grace and Perdere l'amore. They are amazing like all her songs!
Of course there are hundreds of performances of her which are perfectly sang, even some which aren't super emotional just beautiful. Yet most of the time i am drawn to her performances where she not only sing like an angel but more emotionally. For me this performance is just an incredible moment in time, which everyone should watch, experience. How she allowed it to happen, as the pianist who knew about this beforehand started playing, and she went with the moment, flow. And dared to experience the crowds love, as a human. Don't forget this is a long concert, she allowed one moment to feel the fan's commitment, love, support. Charged herself. Gave herself a memory never to forget. Then she went on with a flawless show. lara Fabian not only exceptional singer but dares to feel, to use her emotions, be vulnerable if needed, or daring, etc. Lives in the moment. And of course she reached the level of professionalism she don't think about singing techniques, she just does it, flows through the songs. But even for her with her talent this is possible to her training, even those with talent spend long long hours every day, every week. Those don't just falter. At least for me. Yet i'm not listening to mainstream media. Thank you for reacting to this, and glad you liked this special moment. For a completele different dynamic how about a duet by Lara? Recommend to check (real live singing in this one, with proper subtitles to understand the words): Lara Fabian & Johnny Hallyday - Requiem pour un fou (English subtitles) th-cam.com/video/zR1rkt_0biA/w-d-xo.html Many versions out there about this duet, personally i found this one good video, audio quality and proper subtitles.
She is one heck of an artist. To be able to respond to that wave of love, use it and still perform. The first time I heard this song was a recording by Jackie Evancho, so powerful.
Lara Fabian struggled to perform her song "Je t'aime" (I love you) several days after she lost a loved one. The crowd begins to sing for her and subsequently change the lyrics to "On t'aime" (We love you).
@@glennbriggs5345 That's a far cry from "losing a loved one." In any case, Patrick Fiori and Miss Fabian were together from 1997-99. The Nue concert tour shown on this post was done in 2002. Fiori might have cheated on her but I think she was over it three years later. She'd already been with Sébastien Lorca and was headed for Jean-Félix Lalanne after that.
Lara was facing hard times , both on the personal (health, love betrayal and breakup) and professional (her progress blocked in the US by her own record company) sides. Her fanbase knew most of it and wanted to show support and they used this song, one of her biggest hits in France, replacing the title” Je t’aime / I love you” by “On t’aime / We love you”. I love how Lara, after the initial surprise, establishes a beautiful dialog with the crowd, giving them room to sing with her. It shows how benevolent and humble she is. The song itself is a gem, it was as I said one of her songs that reached the top 10 in France charts. But it even grew bigger after it and has become now a french classic, her most iconic french song. It is still attracting a lot of covers from the young french and canadian vocalists generation (Amir, Jeck, …). Most frenchmen know the song by heart. Surprisingly, it was also a massive success in russia and eastern europe: she became a superstar there thanks to it (and 15 years before her lengthy collaboration with Igor Krutoy that extended this even further) and the song is a MUST in russian karaoke and a recurrent in russian singer contests. Again many covers of this songs from eastern europe talents: Polina Gagarina, Sevara Nazarkhan, Katerina Maslova, Natalia Tsarikova, … As always with her biggest hits, Lara has performed it in many different ways: • Intense and powerful at World Music Awards 1999, • Subtle and delicate in her En Toute Intimité 2003 tour. • Classy and moving, performing with 2 vertebrae broken, at Royal Albert Hall in London (2011) • Jazzy in a recent perf (2018) with a band from Quebec The lyrics are also mesmerizing. Despite the title, it is not a classic love song but a breakup song instead. “Je t’aime” was written by Lara Fabian and Rick Allison, her longtime music producer and composer. He also had been her boyfriend for a few years, at the start of her career. This song was written when their love evolved to a friendship and a professional relationship . It speaks about a couple splitting while still having a lot of sentiments one for the other.
There are so many outstanding Lara songs. I would recommend you watch her famous concert "From Lara With Love". All songs in this concert are fabulous. They include Adagio (which you've already reacted to) Curuso, Je Suis Malade, Love By Grace, Pedere d'amore, Broken Vow to name a few. A must see is her Yentl Medley live from the Molson Center in Montreal. Those a just a start. There are so many it's hard to pick one over another. Oh and remember her live performances are always better than the studio versions.
This song was part of a concert she did in three nights. The setlist was probably about the same all 3 nights, but the first night was in Brussels and then two nights were in Paris. The full-length DVD of the performance uses a mix with some clips from all 3 nights but it's fascinating when you watch the entire concert to see how there are a few other instances like this where she interacts with the audience.
Hi Nina Thanks for this reaction, not many spend effort analyzing this performance, only that the audience sings for Lara, which is of course absolutely fantastic.❤ I love the way Lara uses the opportunity to sing with her pupil and shows that she truly appreciates their affection ❤ One of my absolute favorites from Lara is Perdere l'amore (in Italien) th-cam.com/video/mcmhCfH9OfQ/w-d-xo.html I love your reactions to Lara and sincerely hope you will continue to teach us all more about the sea and how Lara enchants us ❤ Love Lara ❤ Love from Denmark ❤
Idk if there are some of her french/french canadian interviews with subtitles on youtube, but if you find some, you should watch them in your own time. She's a special woman. So humble and honest that you almost forget she's supposed to be a diva.
The most stunning piece of performance art is Lara Fabian singing a COVER of the song "Je Suis Malade". The type of story telling and almost like character acting that Lara does is why so many new artists are inspired by her. Here's the best version with English subtitles (French song): th-cam.com/video/dVvlmpo5g9k/w-d-xo.html
At the time she was almost suicidal, having suffered a number of personal setbacks. Lara was unsure if she would even pursue her singing career! The pianist set this up with the audience during a break, where upon the audience would serenade her changing the lyrics from Je t'aime/I love yo, to On t'aime/We love you! This proved to be a pivotal moment in her her life/career, bolstering her spirits and confidence, such that she managed to turn things around and is still creating/writing/performing to this day! Be well and stay safe
The song Je t'aime (I love you) is written by Lara Fabian. Another top performance of Lara is her version of Je suis malade, written by Serge Lama. Here Serge Lama brings in a live tv show tribute/express his love to Lara with her song with some alterations in the text: th-cam.com/video/Wqe3H8EuAaE/w-d-xo.htmlsi=niMkC94Lb8cKZ1PI Beautiful TV moment.
This is not really a performance per se that you can analyze because Lara is not Is not giving her usual performance here but rather just acknowledge the love and admiration of her fans who are singing to her. She was going through a very difficult time And her audience wanted to give something back to let her know how much she was loved. Obviously by her reaction she is overcome by emotion. It's really a beautiful thing to watch. I don't think many artists have this kind of experience.
I'm seriously considering flying halfway across Canada on short notice just so I can get to hear her sing live once in my life. She is utterly magnificent on video. Live I might pass out.
I'm not considering it. I'M GOING! Ticket bought, flight booked, and I'm not going to believe any of it is happening until I am there and I am hearing and seeing it in front of my eyes and ears.
I have never seen so much beautiful love given to such a sweet person in all my life. This is forever my favorite recording of a live performance. It was so real, so poweful and so very precious!!!
This is one of my favorite Lara Fabian videos and one of the first that introduced me to her songs. I knew then that I had to listen to more of her performances to find out why her audiences love her so much. What I found out was that this performance is no accident. Lara has build a reputation for being utterly vulnerable and intimate with her audiences. She puts all her emotions out for all to see and hear I find so many artists perform as though they are afraid of their audience. Their energy so fragile! Not the woman! She hides nothing from her audience. You cannot help but fall in love with her! This is more than singing!
🇨🇦 If you listen at the beginning, audience members were telling her not to sing ! This shocked Lara, but there was a plan ! Find the comments from Eric Sicard below who best explains that night ! Lara is fluent in 4 languages and can sing in 12 ! A suggestion at this point would be "Caruso" in Italian, or "Quedate" in Spanish, or even "Requiem pour un fou" a duet with Johnny Hallyday in French, or "I will Love again" in English ! 🇨🇦
This version the emotional one. It’s cool that you chose this, but she doesn’t do anything crazy here (vocally) because she was going through a lot and because of what happened prior to the performance (about her struggling a lot like losing her lover, being depressed and thinking of quitting..etc). By the way she’s singing (Je taime > I love you) and the fans sing (On taime > we love you) to show her how much they love and care for her! This version is different and special, I really liked it. But what I like even more is her live performance at the World Music Awards back in 1999🔥 SO POWERFUL.. Please check it, can’t wait to see you react to it. Her favourite joke on herself is that Lara will cry at the opening of a garage door, she is extremely heartfelt and emotional. Before this she had ended a relationship she had given her whole being to, and had betrayals in business as well. Upset to the point of considering ending her life she was very sad. Her fans wanting to show their love sang "On T'aime" (We love you) to her to let her know she was loved and appreciated.

Lara amazes us with her ability to use her whole body to make you feel each song! You should also react to Je Suis Malade, a painful emotional journey!
At the beginining when the audience (6800 persons !) sings, she's so astonished, she starts saying " Vous m'avez pris de court" meaning " You took me by surprise". This moment was epic and unique !

I feel so cheated that in the USA we did not have very much exposure to her. The best performer I have ever seen and I've only just found her now. I can't imagine seeing her live.
I think this performance should come later in an introduction to Lara. One should hear several of her great singing performances first, get to love her and her voice and then see this video to learn how much her fans love Lara.
I love your reactions, and I love Lara so much. I see a lot of people reacting to this video, but I've never seen anyone reacting to a different version of this song, showing the beauty of how she sings this song fully focused. I suggest the version: th-cam.com/video/UsQ1F7o6ogE/w-d-xo.html
And if you want to see her performing this masterpiece very differently : - intense and powerful, getting standup ovation from peers at Music World Awards 1999: th-cam.com/video/UsQ1F7o6ogE/w-d-xo.html - subtle, delicate, with crystal clear head notes: th-cam.com/video/l826rlBOn9w/w-d-xo.html

The maturity, stage presence, tone and vocal quality in general is OUTSTANDING. Katrina is blossoming into her vocal prime. Don’t miss this one

Peut-on espérer une belle surprise pour Dimash? Lara en guest star ?
Nina this is undoubtedly a very touching moment, but it's really not a great choice of video for a vocal coach to react to - Lara does very little singing in here, and when she does sing she's chocked up with emotion half the time. Not many opportunities to analyze vocal performance in this one. Lara sings Je T'aime in 2 different styles: the powerful one th-cam.com/video/cf4Ta3ddn9s/w-d-xo.html and the soft, melodic one th-cam.com/video/jAb5Lkl5InY/w-d-xo.html You really should react to either or both. If you watch only this video first and foremost you're missing out on hearing an actual performance of a great song by the best vocalist on the planet. It's unfortunate so many people, including vocal coaches, get mislead by amount of views on this video and users' recommendations and react to this particular video when they are intending to do vocal analysis.
Great reaction. If you want something more modern in french culture music, i propose to react to Christine and the Queens in her song called: Full of life❤❤❤❤❤
Anotjer must watch is a band that never left stage because the audience kept singing. Look for the wacken Performance of blind Guardian two songs the bards song and then valhalla.... Two completely opposite songs but both with lots of crowd singing... Worth it

Great reaction to such an emotional performance. My favourite female singer. I highly recommend Je Suis Malade. It's incredible and just as emotional maybe more so. After that listen to Caruso, Broken Vow, Love by Grace and Perdere l'amore. They are amazing like all her songs!
I love Lara but this reaction videi was annoying though
Recommend to check (real live singing in this one, with proper subtitles to understand the words):
Lara Fabian & Johnny Hallyday - Requiem pour un fou (English subtitles)
th-cam.com/video/zR1rkt_0biA/w-d-xo.html
Many versions out there about this duet, personally i found this one good video, audio quality and proper subtitles.
She is one heck of an artist. To be able to respond to that wave of love, use it and still perform. The first time I heard this song was a recording by Jackie Evancho, so powerful.
You really should listen to "Je suis malade" (with subtitles). Best ever by LF.
She isjust overwhelmed how the people really know her songs, sing her song, love her song, and LOVE HER VERY MUCH!
And the crowd sing realy just according to the song .Yes what a performance for her
Lara Fabian struggled to perform her song "Je t'aime" (I love you) several days after she lost a loved one. The crowd begins to sing for her and subsequently change the lyrics to "On t'aime" (We love you).
"Lost a loved one"? That's myth and not fact.
@@PoubelleKansas False data - her beau Fiori, was found to be cheating on her.
Again many covers of this songs from eastern europe talents: Polina Gagarina, Sevara Nazarkhan, Katerina Maslova, Natalia Tsarikova, …
As always with her biggest hits, Lara has performed it in many different ways:
• Intense and powerful at World Music Awards 1999,
• Subtle and delicate in her En Toute Intimité 2003 tour.
• Classy and moving, performing with 2 vertebrae broken, at Royal Albert Hall in London (2011)
• Jazzy in a recent perf (2018) with a band from Quebec
The lyrics are also mesmerizing.
You are already here :) You are everywhere Lara is
There are so many outstanding Lara songs.
Quite simple and direct. A call and response of love.
Hi Nina
Thanks for this reaction, not many spend effort analyzing this performance, only that the audience sings for Lara, which is of course absolutely fantastic.❤
I love the way Lara uses the opportunity to sing with her pupil and shows that she truly appreciates their affection ❤
One of my absolute favorites from Lara is
Perdere l'amore (in Italien)
th-cam.com/video/mcmhCfH9OfQ/w-d-xo.html
I love your reactions to Lara and sincerely hope you will continue to teach us all more about the sea and how Lara enchants us ❤
Love Lara ❤
Love from Denmark ❤
This is what Lara is all about. ❤❤❤
Idk if there are some of her french/french canadian interviews with subtitles on youtube, but if you find some, you should watch them in your own time. She's a special woman. So humble and honest that you almost forget she's supposed to be a diva.
There are many videos available of Lara Fabian. She has been doing this more than a few weeks lol
If only we all could experience something like that at least once in our life. ❤
At the time she was almost suicidal, having suffered a number of personal setbacks.
Lara was unsure if she would even pursue her singing career!
The pianist set this up with the audience during a break, where upon the audience would serenade her
changing the lyrics from Je t'aime/I love yo, to On t'aime/We love you!
This proved to be a pivotal moment in her her life/career, bolstering her spirits and confidence,
such that she managed to turn things around and is still creating/writing/performing to this day!
Be well and stay safe
The song Je t'aime (I love you) is written by Lara Fabian.
Another top performance of Lara is her version of Je suis malade, written by Serge Lama.
Here Serge Lama brings in a live tv show tribute/express his love to Lara with her song with some alterations in the text:
th-cam.com/video/Wqe3H8EuAaE/w-d-xo.htmlsi=niMkC94Lb8cKZ1PI
Beautiful TV moment.
Thanks this song helped me survive❤❤ love her from the caribbean
Dangit. Tears in my eyes AGAIN seeing this...
Link 👇🏻

Lara's songs are rich and varied 15 records over 140 songs
don't be content with her early live performances from the 2000s
with these vocal performances
Lara is much more than that

Lara Fabian is a true artist, author, composer and performer.
a sunny woman who catches you like a moth in the light.
lara
the best of humanity....
Just the public's love for Lara!
Here is another title as moving as “Je t’aime” taken from the same concert where the audience interacts with Lara :
Lara Fabian - Pas sans toi - (English subtitles)
th-cam.com/video/Bh7JfZa7lgY/w-d-xo.htmlsi=qYA2v-28FFqF7Jj-
Lara amazes us with her ability to use her whole body to make you feel each song! You should also react to Je Suis Malade, a painful emotional journey!
More Lara ❤
Maravillosa entrega del público a Lara. Muy emotivo momento para Lara... Inolvidable! ❤
At the beginining when the audience (6800 persons !) sings, she's so astonished, she starts saying " Vous m'avez pris de court" meaning " You took me by surprise".
This moment was epic and unique !
The epitome of an artist's career.
Νιna.
Par amour for a more matured voice Lara or Perdere l’amore for a grande performance😉
You should watch "Je suis malade". I think it's her best emotive performance ever.
I feel so cheated that in the USA we did not have very much exposure to her. The best performer I have ever seen and I've only just found her now. I can't imagine seeing her live.
You should see Caruso by Lara live
I think this performance should come later in an introduction to Lara. One should hear several of her great singing performances first, get to love her and her voice and then see this video to learn how much her fans love Lara.
I love your reactions, and I love Lara so much. I see a lot of people reacting to this video, but I've never seen anyone reacting to a different version of this song, showing the beauty of how she sings this song fully focused. I suggest the version: th-cam.com/video/UsQ1F7o6ogE/w-d-xo.html
Great reaction 🙏🙌...
Lara is something ❤
And if you want to see her performing this masterpiece very differently :
- intense and powerful, getting standup ovation from peers at Music World Awards 1999: th-cam.com/video/UsQ1F7o6ogE/w-d-xo.html
- subtle, delicate, with crystal clear head notes: th-cam.com/video/l826rlBOn9w/w-d-xo.html
"Je suis malade" (with subtitles)
If you want to see a musically emotional performance you need to watch Je suis malade. Watch till the very end and she collects herself showing us just how deep she goes when performing th-cam.com/video/eHSyk4SGtuY/w-d-xo.html
I n"is never heard such a bad reaction
respect emotion, you explain after!!!
LOL Live long and prosper Ms. Spock!🖖😀Definitely a once in a lifetime performers lifetime event! 30,000 and 1 hearts connected together!
""Like a fool, like a soldier, like a star of cinema"........"Je t'aime"
You have to hear Broken Vow from her "From Lara with Love" concert. Amazing.
The guitar riff is at the perfect time and tone.
Wow
This is an emotional performance that has to be listened with your heart not just your head analyzing voice and music....I think you missed out on a lot here.
❤❤❤❤❤ you...NINA
Hi Nina, do check out Katrina Velarde’s new live performance at Viva Cafe of Whitney Houston’s Saving All My Love For You she posted on her official channel. The maturity, stage presence, tone and vocal quality in general is OUTSTANDING. Katrina is blossoming into her vocal prime. Don’t miss this one
I recommend a song from a live performance by Spanish singer Diana Navarro. She always transmits with her particular melismas and her personal voice that makes the audience move. The song is "SOLA" in a concert in Salamanca. Best regards.
Tonight Lara Fabian's concert in Istanbul and tomorrow evening Dimash's concert in the same city. He will celebrate his thirtieth birthday there! Can we hope for a nice surprise for Dimash? Lara as a guest star?
There is a version with subs ...
2:17 She said something like "you caught me off guard".
❤❤❤
Great reaction. If you want something more modern in french culture music, i propose to react to Christine and the Queens in her song called: Full of life❤❤❤❤❤
Lara is the most soulful artist , pleae react to Dimash when I’ve got you Song he just released it , looking forward to it❤
a crowd of people saved the singer from suicide, she could not survive the death of her husband
Anotjer must watch is a band that never left stage because the audience kept singing. Look for the wacken Performance of blind Guardian two songs the bards song and then valhalla.... Two completely opposite songs but both with lots of crowd singing... Worth it
Please please can you do a reaction to perrie edwards first single since little mix it’s called forget about us it’s wrote by Ed Sheeran tune summer bop ❤❤🔥🔥🎉🎉
should see her song je is malade
👍👍👍👍👍👏👏👏👏👏🇰🇿
D'accord, il existait
D'autres façons de se quitter
Quelques éclats de verre
Auraient peut-être pu nous aider
Dans ce silence amer
J'ai décidé de pardonner
Les erreurs qu'on peut faire
À trop s'aimer
D'accord, la petite fille
En moi souvent te réclamait
Presque comme une mère
Tu me bordais, me protégeais
Tous mes sourires, tous mes secrets
Time for an other Lara Fabian song: th-cam.com/video/cz3TH40-GhM/w-d-xo.html
Mi chiamo filippo sono unfan di lara
It is sad that most react to only the singing part, and not the introduction which puts what follows into so much "bigger" a moment... talking about sudden life changing events, then this.
Mon amie Nini, Ola la, la.
Plz react to Almira Lat singing " He Knows" on there wedding original song thank you
