Is it just me, or has the animation quality shot the fuck up. Like, damn! Congrats to the team! There's a lot more in-betweens now in the simple character acting and it really makes a difference! Your hard work is not overlooked!
Not only saying this because young Stella is my daughter and I’m insanely proud of her, of course…but this IS actually cinema…it drew me in and when it ended I blinked at Stella and said wait what? I need the next episode! Beautifully crafted, Mauricio and team xxx
Underrated as all hell. All the twists, the turns, the sounds, the voices, the animation, my LORD the animation! Everyone involved with this project should be very proud, it’s been an absolute delight to watch something with so much love, time, and passion put into it. Bravo folks, bravo!
The following’s a random assortment of observations, some more in-depth than others, though I’ll let whoever decides to read this abomination of a comment be the judge: 0:09, For one, the use of environment to convey emotions, with Hope figuratively and literally stepping out of her own dark headspace after eviscerated Itsuki’s ego (something she seems guilty over, 13:00, although, worth it to see Itsuki go from stoic soldier jock to mousey dork for a bit) to bask in the warm light of her friend’s celebration of their successful heist, 1:02, all while Itsuki only has his dark, quiet, coldly lit room with ambient hums and chirps of insects to go back to, as he has no support system or the current willingness to attempt to establish one for himself by confiding in his sister or peers. 1:37, It’s now Itsuki’s turn to try to put up a front of stability for loved ones. Both him and Hope keep concealing their struggles in an effort to not make others worry, or just to spare themselves from looking vulnerable (walking the line between care for others and personal pride), even when they have people who are understanding and supportive. In Itsuki’s case, it still appears his perceived burden is protecting his sister, who appears largely unaware of his issues, from their father and his apparently abusive behavior by following his desire to have someone continue his legacy as a famous Ranger wielding the Azul Force. 4:37, This whole opening is kind of reminiscent of Aki’s morning routine in Chainsaw Man (especially with its immersive sound design and calm atmosphere), which is pretty fitting as it also features a shift in perspective from a more lively primary main character by having the tone be quieter and devoid of the same energy as Hope’s previous montages just as Aki’s routine is the complete contrast of Denji’s more extreme introduction of fighting a devil with a devil dog with a chainsaw in it's face. 5:47, Jazz being the first to notice Itsuki’s change, coming out literally swinging, ready to defend her friend (seriously, Hope is really fortunate to have these kinds of friends) was pretty cool, since it follows the trend that his peers care less and less about his position as class rep or who his father is because of how poor his relationships with his peers have been. 6:07, And that minor detail of Itsuki hearing about Hope failing Public Relations is paying off with him finally deciding to be the tutor he’s pretended to be (something he kind of already wanted to do himself since even he seems to not be able to stand the kind of person he was being towards Hope) by focusing one something other than sparring and fitness for once, defying Carmen's wishes. 7:53, Kimball’s mask and Professor Strong’s headpiece appear to be Ghost In The Shell or Cyberpunk-inspired cybernetic implants, though it could just also be futuristic fashion choices (a pedestrian in the first episode did have sunglasses with apparent virtual displays in their lenses), since people in this universe also have weird colored eyes (Kayleen’s eyes being purple, Alex’s being orange or Kimball’s being yellowish), which means either people have been mutating or evolving in this future, cosmetic procedures in this future are advanced enough to change eye color the same way people can get tattoos or some of these people have some kind of alien ancestry, since it has been established some other civilizations exist beyond Earth that contributed to humanity’s technological advancements. 9:58, Jazz’s interest in technology and gadgets coming from toy accessories from Ranger merchandise not only does a good job explaining where her interest first originated, but it along with the action figure the child on the train was playing with in the first episode also implies the Interstellar Force has considerable societal influence, though wether it is to the extent of real world military and police forces to something more akin to Starship Trooper’s Federal Armed Services (where Earth’s culture heavily revolves around military service) or Ender's Game's International Fleet remains to be seen. If it's the latter, Strong’s mentions of the intent to turn his students into “weapons” and General Reo's victory on an alien planet could be re-contextualized as this organization secretly being far more questionable than the cadets realize, 19:28, a sentiment furthered by the Director mentioning the Interstellar Force apparently transitioning from exploratory like the United Federation Of Planets to fully militaristic like the Federal Armed Services due to some destabilizing political situation or a result of encountering new threats to their civilization). 11:55, And with these characters comparing validity to their reasons for trying to become Rangers, Maria’s being more “vain” than the others in her simply wanting to prove others that doubted or belittled her that she could (which is very similar to Hope’s reasons for staying at the academy besides support her new friends in her getting to beat Itsuki, which she partially succeeded at by first berating then befriending him, or Jazz wanting others to be inspire by her talents the same way she was inspired by others) appears to set up an arc of her not realizing or being prepared for the actual responsibility that being a Ranger entails in the form of the apparently unstable fire powers (fire reflecting her vibrant personality) she'll soon have. 12:03, At this point, Hope’s most obvious strength is her ability to make these connections and alliances with people, inspiring their respect and loyalty with her kindness, which is something a team thrusted into dangerous situations would need to maintain cohesion (something an intended team leader like Itsuki or Chris is unable to do with their poor social skills or social maturity). The fact that she is able to retain this despite her constant struggles and is willing to push back against those obstacles with enough motivation is also just as much strength. Her main weakness besides her lingering doubts are just academics (one sympathizes). 13:36, This bit of score (along with the previous scene’s) is gorgeous, especially since after three whole episodes of these two being unnecessary enemies with more in common than they realized or were willing to admit, our two leads are finally getting to (or in Itsuki’s case, allowing himself to) just treat each other like people, teasing and joking with each other and discussing upcoming events in their semester (14:40, unfortunately, the plot still finds ways to keep them apart). 16:01, This was just a great transition from the peace and safety of the Watchroom to a sense of tension and danger as the cadets enter the Dome, made complete by Hope’s unwavering look of resolve compared to previous episodes (which makes sense, considering the cost of failing this exam means her opportunity at this school is over), where she was either enthusiastic, nervous or exhausted, and compared to her fellow teammates like Amai and Jeff who appear largely unprepared for what they’re up against, 17:08, while, Carmen demonstrates little skill under pressure while the others rally to come up with a plan. 17:04, Chris, on the other hand, is also portrayed as being a bit better than he was as team leader in their last training sequence, showing he is at least competent at strategizing. 16:10, It’s subtle, but Professor Strong tapping Carmen's head (the first time he’s even gotten that closer to a student or anyone else) and her turning out to be the one infected with the was pretty neat foreshadowing if it was intentional (the implication also being that he somehow infected her with the bioweapon with that tap specifically, as it being a gas would’ve infected the whole group and she would’ve noticed if she was being injected with something from a syringe. 17:57, Arthur’s competitive streak and overachieving attitude parallels neatly with Itsuki’s snobbish perfectionist mentality, a flaw he is overcoming while Arthur is too arrogant to even realize his own. While Arthur makes the same choice of abandoning his squad, exactly what he berated Itsuki for earlier, 18:20, Itsuki actually works through a dispute with a fellow teammate (as he realizes he can’t and shouldn’t try to do everything himself), is more concerned with ensuring the safety of his squad alongside their mission (a stark contrast to how he handled the team the first time) and coordinates more with his teammates (even letting Maria and Kayleen go after Arthur to keep track of him instead of motioning to have his team abandon him to the elements), 18:35, an approach that appears more receptive and effective than before. 21:38, Although, to Arthur’s credit, he was right about the communication’s building being the furthest structure from them (and probably about Strong making it that way to up the difficulty), meaning if both groups heading there, they would’ve united sooner (22:26, and would’ve had more numbers to deal with this thing). 22:42, And last but not least, the end credits showing glimpses of different character’s childhoods was both very sweet (especially seeing Maria go from admiring the Ranger poster to getting to enjoy the fact that she’d finally on the path to becoming one) and a bit darkly funny, with it going from showing Itsuki as a kid getting beat up by who is apparently his own father (and doing his best Captain America impression for good measure) to Jazz having a normal childhood playing with toys. That’s it, that’s all I got. It was surreal waiting for this to come out and then finding it’d finally released. I’m grateful to be here to see this project be made and to the team that is making it, I hope you are proud of your work because it is awesome on so many levels, or at the very least that you are having a good day.
One small detail! Don’t forget that Professor Strong is Carmen’s father. So the closeness between them, as well as the choice to have her carry the bio-weapon, was intentional! It also would most likely cause a rift in each of the people in the group.
@@adrianfernandez2010 The ambassador from episode 1 is carmen’s father and is main reason hope was granted entrance to Cosmos Academy, Strong is just carmen and everyone else’s teacher.
@@Browntable Of course. It’s been a pleasure looking through these episodes for details like this. It’s a truly remarkable story world being created here.
@@Deadwatch-gi2xc If anything, Carmen’s father may not know or might not even care about how dangerous the exam is. Hey Browntable! I know im late to comment but, i just wanted to tell you that you are a great inspiration for me :). This show looks amazing! I cant wait until the next episode. Ive always wanted to make my own anime, but even though im good at drawing anime faces and hair, its the anatomy and clothes and stuff that i have trouble with. Besides funding and stuff like that. I've been studying film for 4 years at this point and i love making films, but anime has a special place in my heart. This anime is incredible. The animation, the writing, and the team who made it, all amazing. Watching this makes me feel like my dream of creating my own anime, isnt actually that far away. I know the likelihood of you reading this is low, but its been on my mine for so long i just had to write it. Thank you Browntable, and specifically, Thank you Mauricio. You are my hero. @@BrowntableMauricio your such a great story teller, the emotion and narrative of this episode. Resonates with me so much. Also, I love your characters too! Especially Hope and Ryo.
This episode really surpassed my expectations. The animation has improved a lot, the environments look gorgeous and the plot was really engaging. I also really liked the little bits where the style changed. Awesome job to everyone involved!
gotta say that me and my little sister genuinely squealed together when i told her the fourth episode came out. this has become one of the things we can bond over together ever since i got her to watch it with me and we had been counting the days for episode 4! just our luck that when it came out we’d be way too busy with other responsibilities to watch until things died down, this was the perfect thing to help us settle down. such amazing animation and art, the voice acting was absolutely ON POINT, the music was so good, the character writing is amazing. i felt my heart sting at multiple moments which is a clear sign for me that i was very immersed. thank you for sharing this story and art with the world. thanks to you all, two siblings get to bond over something they can watch and ramble about together and i appreciate that :)
I haven't seen the full episode yet but Browntable's voice acting is SO GOOD! I mean the voice cast is obviously doing a stellar job. But idk, it's always a pleasant surprise hearing TH-camrs showcase their acting capabilities.
This is brilliant! Truly inspired by the work yous have all put into this. Didn't even feel like a 20 or so minute long episode - The pacing was great, and I was so impressed by the episode visually as it allowed me to immerse myself into the story and characters. Looking forward to episode 5!
Another awesome episode. As much I like the action, I love the dramatic stuff that revolves around the characters. Makes everything they believe in all the more worth it. And excellent work on the animation upgrade man! Keep it up! 🙌
Improvement in all areas. Rendering, Story telling, background design! I love to see how this series' episodes are always a level up. Super excited to see, what the team is able to deliver in the future!
Best episode yet! The animation is unreal! The quality of this show's production is incredible and every actor is shining through! The story is getting so exciting!
This show is SO good. Discovered this yesterday and watched all 4 episodes tonight. Hate the fact i gotta wait for the next episode like everybody else now 😂
The output of these episodes relative to the high production value never fails to be truly staggering to me. This is as good as any multi-million dollar production from a massive studio with hundreds of staff. Great work as usual, I am really enjoying where the plot is going and the higher stakes adding up.
After binging all of IRC my favorite part is seeing each episode get better and better! The visuals are a marvel, the attention to detail ever greater and that juicy angsty drama is a delight
Everything about this episode was amazing!!! The direction, voice acting, characterization, pacing, lightning m, and of course the animation all went fuckin up in quality. I couldn't stop watching until the very end. Browntable team killed it. Definitely worth the wait!!
Personally in a lot of spots through out the series I could find some sort of shot that I found spotty, but genuinely couldn't this episode. All credit to the team you guys have done a wonderful job.
The amount of work that goes in those episodes it’s so great to have these kind of films ! TH-cam don’t deserve your work it should be on TV or in cinema 🤩🙏 The characters are so fleshed out I love it ! Hope it gets the attention you deserve 🌟 Love from 🇨🇭
OMG OMG OMG 😭 I can't stress how much I love the writing, especially Itsuki and Hope's dynamic. And that plot twist at the end? Ugh, just take my money! 👏🏾 EDIT: The visuals for the ending OST are freaking phenomenal 🫶🏽
All of these episodes are amazing but this one I especially enjoyed, I can barely think about waiting for another but I know animation especially of this scale and a smaller team takes so much time. Keep taking your time on this amazing project!
I have so many things to say about this episode OH MY GODDD I'm gonna start with the animation cuz LORD it went from a solid 10 to a FRICKIN 100!!! I am an art/animation nerd so this was quite literally eye candy for me, everybody looks SO GOOD (the atmosphere in each scene, character designs, colors, CGI>>>). It is clear how much work and pure love is put into this whole show, and somehow every episode makes me love it even more??? Absolute banger. 2:30 my god I loved this moment of hesitation, Itsuki IS NOT fine and we know that...I really can't wait for his in-detail backstory and relationship with his dad (also wanna know what happened to his mom 🤔) 5:24 THAT SLAP THOOOOO DAYUM I was watching with a friend and both of our jaws were on the floor. ahh the whole maria, hope and jazz scene was so so so good. Really happy to see the characters talk about their ambitions and goals! Love how the dialogue is organic. LOVED the Hope and Itsuki scene, he is working so hard to be nicer to her and I am glad 'cause damn those arguments in the previous episodes were BRUTAL and the plot twist at the end?? Is carmen gonna survive??? Oh well, gotta wait for the next episode, and I know it will be worth all the wait

You are all my hero. The entire browntable team. Thank you for being an inspiration to thousands. ❤
i cant believe there is another episode i hope its worth the wait
Oh believe me it absolutely was!
I love Arthur so much. What a guy. Can't wait to see more from him.
Just wanted to say thank you to all that watched an our amazing the team and crew have been throughout making this episode truly am grateful to be a part of this ❤
Thanks so much Rama!!!!
HELL YEA
WE ARE BACK BABY!
HELL YEAHHHHH
@@BrowntableMauricio, way to go bro!!! I’m very impressed with your anime series! Keep up the great work on this.
Awesome job to everyone involved!
as someone who's writing a shonen story of his own, this series is inspiring. can't wait to see how it ends!
gotta say that me and my little sister genuinely squealed together when i told her the fourth episode came out. this has become one of the things we can bond over together ever since i got her to watch it with me and we had been counting the days for episode 4! just our luck that when it came out we’d be way too busy with other responsibilities to watch until things died down, this was the perfect thing to help us settle down. such amazing animation and art, the voice acting was absolutely ON POINT, the music was so good, the character writing is amazing. i felt my heart sting at multiple moments which is a clear sign for me that i was very immersed. thank you for sharing this story and art with the world. thanks to you all, two siblings get to bond over something they can watch and ramble about together and i appreciate that :)
the art is amazing
The environmental art was absolutely stunning, fantastic composition and colors in the opening minute alone ❤
7000 view only in a day is a crime. This deserves millions.
I haven't seen the full episode yet but Browntable's voice acting is SO GOOD!
I mean the voice cast is obviously doing a stellar job.
But idk, it's always a pleasant surprise hearing TH-camrs showcase their acting capabilities.
The only regret I have is that I wasn't there for the premiere of the episode, cause it was REALLY GOOD ! Well done 👏👍
Amazing series, just found it today and watched all of it in one go.
The episode is finally here! I’m so happy to see it! I love Interstellar Ranger Commence!❤
HELL YEAH! Thank you so much!!
This show and the animation keeps getting better and better. How dare you with that cliffhanger!!! I'm so hype for Episode 5
Amaziiiing! Congrats man, interstellar ranger is getting better and better
The visuals are a marvel, the attention to detail ever greater and that juicy angsty drama is a delight
this is a masterpiece. Mauricio Velazco clearly knows how to write suspense and emotion.
Everything about this episode was amazing!!! The direction, voice acting, characterization, pacing, lightning m, and of course the animation all went fuckin up in quality. I couldn't stop watching until the very end. Browntable team killed it. Definitely worth the wait!!
This is your best work yet! Glad to play a small part!
Thanks so much Houston!! ;w; Love you dude!
Greatest animation I've ever seen in my life
I didn't expect the twist during the exam. I'm looking forward to seeing the next episode.
Great work everyone. Great episode. Looking forward to the next one
Glad to have y'all back Browntable It's been a long time since last episode gonna have to watch that B4 watching this one. Hyped for the next episode
Personally in a lot of spots through out the series I could find some sort of shot that I found spotty, but genuinely couldn't this episode. All credit to the team you guys have done a wonderful job.
Man animation looks so professional and slick. And a great cliffhanger too! I want to know what happens next NOW.
LOVED IT! Y'all have such a talented team, and the animation pops off! Congratulations! :)
The animation in this episode is truly exceptional and I'm happy to see the production increasing every episode! Well done
The progression is incredible, it feels like something i could watch in adult swim or sum. ITS SO PEAK
EDIT: The visuals for the ending OST are freaking phenomenal 🫶🏽
your storytelling is incredible I am really enjoying this series so much.
Amazing cliffhanger
All of these episodes are amazing but this one I especially enjoyed, I can barely think about waiting for another but I know animation especially of this scale and a smaller team takes so much time. Keep taking your time on this amazing project!
Another fine episode, I wish I could have been a part of this
Love the character progression AND the character designs. Every episode has had a huge leap in quality and you’re only going onward and upward
Eveything looks cleaner and the character had a nice touch up and the physics are as good as always
I have so many things to say about this episode OH MY GODDD
I'm gonna start with the animation cuz LORD it went from a solid 10 to a FRICKIN 100!!!
2:30 my god I loved this moment of hesitation, Itsuki IS NOT fine and we know that...I really can't wait for his in-detail backstory and relationship with his dad (also wanna know what happened to his mom 🤔)
5:24 THAT SLAP THOOOOO DAYUM I was watching with a friend and both of our jaws were on the floor.
ahh the whole maria, hope and jazz scene was so so so good. Really happy to see the characters talk about their ambitions and goals! Love how the dialogue is organic.
LOVED the Hope and Itsuki scene, he is working so hard to be nicer to her and I am glad 'cause damn those arguments in the previous episodes were BRUTAL
and the plot twist at the end?? Is carmen gonna survive??? Oh well, gotta wait for the next episode, and I know it will be worth all the wait
YO IM THE LEAD ANIMATOR!!
I just wanted to let u know that this comment literally made me SO happy knowing the hard work everyone put into it is recognised (TYSM???)

@@Thisisacomputah OMG I'M SO HONORED!!! Your art is absolutely stunning and you are such an inspiration. (been following some of ur stuff on twitter :D)
@@woagisum IMMA CRY UR TOO SWEET??? the shot of Itsuki with the hesitation was my shot and IM SO HAPPY WITH IT SO U POINTING IT OUT MADE MY DAY IM SO FLATTERED

This deserves more views.
Watching this as it comes out reminds me of the old rwby days!

Just wanted to say congrats to the entire team. Great to see an original series with so much passion and heart. Hope everything goes well in the near future 🙏🏼 wishing you guys great success.
WOW! These episodes massively improved from the art style, animation AND storytelling. This series remains a testament to the creative freedom people can have making Indie Animation. Can't wait for more.
This keeps getting better and better
Not that the others were bad, but this episode is a massive improvement in every way. The animation is straight up gorgeous, the composition is candy to the eye and line delivery is so fresh, so expressive. The sheer epic of the second part of the episode is insane. Very excited for what’s to come
I’m really interested in where this is going so far great job especially on the animation. Arthur is definitely my favorite character, keep it up 👍
Crazy step up with each new episode, dude! Keep up the phenomenal stuff for you and your fantastic team! You are pulling off some of the coolest stuff on TH-cam, even if it takes a lot of time to make it, it is well worth it! I cannot wait to see the next episode, whenever that be!
The improving in the acting ! That's incredible ❤
This was amazing can’t wait for the next episode
You all give me hope, man.
Incredible episode! Congrats everyone!

Buff Maria activates my almonds.

That was awesome. I really want to know what happens next. But take the time you need, I'll wait and be happy when the time comes again.
wow, so cooool! Thanks so much for making this and sharing it with the world ❤
It's better than like 80% of anime I see on MAL! I love the story you've got going here :D
I love how character driven the storytelling is, and the scifi world you've built. This is a rare thing!
Thank you so much sincerely!!
I'm so proud for all of you
YOU MADE AN EXCELENT JOB 🔥
THANK YOU!!
10:57 I love how expressive Maria's animated here. Just some really awesome poses, and smears too!
14:19 Okay, I'm fully convinced that's the only thing they know in Japanese.
Man I wait a while for this thanks Mauricio ❤ wishing you great success on the next ep🎉
