I just wanna correct some and point out tips, you don't have to have drift trained before you start with IA. Since if you do it correctly, you will interrupt sprint, drift and IA at the same time, and train all three at the same time.
Also a tip about the "Stronk fingers" to spam the drift or ia method, you can also use both hands on the keyboard and skip the mouse, using right hand on W (and any other button nearby) if you don't want to rebind, and less preassure on the left hand :D since you don't have to aim where the horse runs, unless you train close to a cliff xD
The actual mechanic of drift is like, when you release W, it uses Drift, when holding down W horse will just keep running. Just as training sprint, you are able to find a rytm aswell just releasing W slowly instead of spamming it, but spamming it works just as good imo and you don't have to think, just spam :D
IA is pain at the first 30-40% for me atleast, after that it goes really fast to train.
I made a video of training skills, which I believe you've seen, thoug mine was just to show how to train each skill individual, and followup videos when they did the changes of dummys and added s:ia afterwards ofc. Got a few comments and whispers about what I wrote above, but my vid was only intended how to train each individual incase some don't have all of the skills, not to get all skills to 100% together as fast as possible. then I would just show 1 method for 3 skills at the same time hehe :D
Yeah I think I saw yours too, but can't remember which method was what. I know I looked at a lot of videos because I was being stubborn about not wanting to rebind on the mouse. I remember I did try completely avoiding the mouse at first doing it my own way and I couldn't get it to work..I know what you mean about the rhythym as there were times I found it, but it was just as easy to lose for me! With a lot of practice I could see getting used to it for good though. I'm coordination challenged LOL. I'll pin the comment so people can see this.

I've been falling off my horse a lot of times & it's actually a good thing LOL in terms of training the skills.* Before this, I keep asking why I keep falling off my horse then this vid shows me that that's how skills are trained by actually training them. I bought a horse the other day & this one has a low instant accelerate percentage than what my other character is using (that that one is 100%), so I never notice I have to train them until today. *Thx for the short & simple vid*

Thanks for the video. I recently came back to BDO after a long hiatus (move, work, etc) The video is definitely helpful and appreciated. It does suck that the permanent flutes cannot be exchanged between characters. Mine was bound on my first character blah and ended up buying a 2nd one for my real main now.
I've used several videos of yours in the past but leveling IA is far easier. You set up a autopath. Hold shift and tap space. Super easy, super stress free. It's also hilarious to watch your horse air-strafe. Fun times.

for instant accel you can wedge your horse between 2 random objects that are close to each other or preferably in a tight corner. it keeps your horse in one place while you you're training the skill.

I have a little tip to train fast drift. If you have insta accl, you can spam drift and immediately skip the full turn by pressing W+F, then you can drift again and repeat this process over and over

For drifting tips
your horse *must have a saddle* inorder to use spring and perform dirft.
rebind your W key to Right/Left mouse button,
while Holding Shift, press A and S and spam your W key(bind with mouse) together. *A and S and mouse SHould be pressed at the same time.
Best to stuck your horse in a a corner so if u messed up u don't have to chase the horse.

horse training is so satisfying , i love it
I just leveled Drift in with a slightly different method. I found a house where I had to push my mount into (run forward then jump off to push your horse into it - my choice was stone room in Heidel) that had no NPC, and just used my normal left hand config to hold down the Shift+A+S and the use my right hand to spam the 'W' key. No remapping of the keys. It was easy to reach 100 percent in a contained environment in about 35 or so minutes.

Their is a section of the map to the far East of Valencia that is open desert that's a really good place to train drift and instant Accel. You don't get the desert debuf their and their is nothing to run into. If you take your main hand off then the recovery time is less. Also love your videos keep up the good work and much luck with your t9 attempts.

So im on xbox none of the jumps work because on xbox and PS5 Running in town is not a thing if your by a stable your in town nothing will work even in The quarry it doesn't work it shows the skill at all the spots I've tried the only one that works out of this video is the charge for that I thank you saved me an hour with this video 👍

hello you may already know this , but to those who don't know:
you can assign WW input into mousebutton 4 or 5., it will cancel the drift animation directly., hold it with shift and F key., and then press the drift hotkey in a very minimal amount of time.,
finally i find this info. thnx exactly what i wanted to know.;
one thing tho. my horse is just missing S:Instant acsell. Is there a way to train my horse to have S instant accell

Love the vids, my only question is have you heard specifics on breeding rate for xbox? I've gathered between 6-9 from what I've read but didnt know if precise info existed.
After watching this guide, which a friend linked me, and reading some of the comments, I would like to make one correction that I don't think I saw anyone else make. Even if some skills hit 100%, they can in fact still fail on you and make you play the mini game. I have personally had this happen (though once a skill is at 100% it is quite rare, like maybe once a month or so that it fails). The skills that still fail on me on multiple different horses regardless of being courser, or what tier have been Drift, Instant Accel, and, oddly enough, Caution. Not that there is a mini game for Caution. It just keeps going right off the cliff sometimes instead when it fails. Though that skill wasn't mentioned in this video, and I know a lot of other players say just don't use it. In all fairness, the only tier of horse I have not tested this myself on has been Dream as I do not have one. Other than that, I have to say, generally, this is a decent guide and it is much appreciated.

Thanks SO much for this! The mini-game skipping was especially helpful! Helped me master Sprint in 20mins when normally it takes over an hour and much easier to do as well.
All I had to do was hold W+Shift+Spacebar, very easy!
Also, I was in Keplan when I watched this so I found a spot in Keplan that works 98% of the time

Lately I haven't been doing it consistently as I've been doing other things like fishing and processing while afk so it's hard to give a number. And also, you don't make as much anymore as a lot of people do it now - a lot of my T7s I have to get rid of with imp delivery..so the best money is in selling Tier 8s which are still not so plentiful. But you still have to get to a point where you have what you need and you're ok selling a tier 8! It is reliable money though, but guaranteed there are better ways to actively and even AFK make more. I afk as much as I possibly can though. Every night I go to bed, during the day when I can't play. Sometimes if I'm diligently working on leveling because it's close to breeding level I will just play another game while I wait for them to level! So yeah, if you're into horse breeding it's good though ;)
Seems like these still work, you can even lock certain other skills to prevent them from triggering like streak leap.

I needed this last week D: I old my courser for 300mil cuz I needed money for my new gear. I got lucky and got all my skills on it on 2 -3 tries, but I completely trained it to 100% with coupons ... so whe nI got my new T8 I tried doign the cancel thing but I was too stubborn about changingm y keys and I couponed it again ...

Nooooo! I don't know if I would ever sell a courser. Maybe if they gave you full price and not taxed the hell out of it, or maybe if it weren't so hard to get one! LOL.. did you see the part in the video about how I was too stubborn to change w? I finally ended up doing it though. I still found IA to be an asbolute pain in the butt..
Yeah I did, that's why I mentioned it haha I didnt cave in and said screw it P2W ;/ yeah I didnt know they taxed me or else I would;ve done Imperial. Weird though my other courser had all skills at 100% and a gold icon, this one is the same but has a silver icon, do you know why that is?
Are you sure it has all the skills? Because gold icon is for courser and the silver one is a normal horse.
Mmogurl oh right it's by number of skills... I'll double check later. I did feel thight on the skills this time around maybe I'm missing one.
if you train your horse before selling, will the mount be worth more?
My horse is currently lvl 2 will training all give me all skills or just for skills I've learned?

Not sure what I'm doing wrong. Most of the times when it starts it already at the bottom and even with spamming the right way it doesn't save it.
is there any way to increase amount of skill? if i reach 30 or should i do anything before 30 to increase more skills?
In case anyone tries this, just use mouse macro with repeat toggle. 0.15 sec for drift, 0.28 for sprint.
has this been patched? i found a perfect spot to do the jump spam but my sprint isnt going up

It seems like drift and IA training doesn't work like before. In drift training the horse stop running even if the minigame is skipped, and IA doesn't skip the minigame anymore :
I should have known to look for a female gamer to get a comprehensive viyet a comprehensive video that doesn't have a bunch of jargon for people who have never played an MMO before. I've tried watching countless videos before that come up at the top of the list when I search for video horse training but we're straining but every single one of them is a guy and hes talking all this MMO jargon that I frankly do not understand. Thank you for making this so simplistic so easy to understand I understand. Also where do you find these higher level horses because I have yet to find anything above a level 4
You're welcome! It's awesome people are still getting use out of these all of these years later! Ok as to breeding a higher level horse? You can either buy higher tiers off the horse market or go catch some tier 5s in the wild and breed them until you have a pair of tier 6 or 7s. Go to my BDO playlist on my channel - there is a whole section about taming where it shows where to catch tier 5s in the wild.

I have a question for you nobody seems to answer how do you get a wagon for four horses can you buy one what are you going to do will it be in this game a week I got a bunch of TR6 horses for trying to become a breeder and I need a 4 horse wagon to level these things up and I don't even know where to get one how to hook them up help please

If you use wagon you won’t get training xp for your character. You’ll only get xp for your horse. Train your horses individually one by one. It seems like a hassle but it’s worth it
Real pain in the ass is S:IA as you need to have drift +ia maxed and then hit perfect skip on second f, if use drift too fast you dont even use secon f if too late animation wont be canceled :> and also need timing to click ffff

You never talked about how to lvl training fast.
Hey just try (holding(A+S+Shift))+(spam F) it should fix the speed access to continuous. *make sure you have drift activated before u start mashing the F button
I found a weird trick, experiment with it if you want... change your horse's skill forechop to another rare skill... if your horse is already at that phase of having a rare chance to get another skill, deleting the forechop from your roster will force your horse to learn it even if its around 25+, making a new slot for other rare skills... not sure if this is always the case but 1 of my horse got another skill around 27 which was forechop, i quickly changed it to another rare one...

on console the mini game does not even render in 90% of the time. cheating ass game, they give use the directions 70% of the time but never the progress part
