      Hello, I'm actually looking to revamp my wardrobe, and I want to wear sneakers less often, as I've gotten used to doing so over the past few years (lockdowns, remote work, etc.). The problem is, I'm a bit shoe illiterate. Can you do a video on casual, non-athletic shoes elegant ladies can wear? If you do this, thanks so much! 💖

    I believe every woman deserves to have a clutter-free and well-organised wardrobe where everything fits and makes us feel great, and allows us to easily create outfits. As a professional organiser, I can confidently say that you have a beautifully organised wardrobe, Anna. A lot of great organising principles are shown in your video: keeping the items most frequently used easily accessible, categorising, containerising, storing folded clothes vertically instead of piling them, labelling etc. The place and the way you store your large belts might not be the most conventional one but you’ve made do with the space you currently have, cleverly using transparent boxes and shelves to easily find what you need. I’m sure you’ll nail the design of your future wardrobe when time comes. Thank you for your video.

    Hey there just a suggestion... I see some of your tall boots are flopping and that can cause creases or eventually cracking in the boots over long periods of time. I actually cut pool noodles and put them in the boots when they are being stored. It's cheap, easy and keeps the boots nicer longer and keeps them standing up and easier to see and if you cut the pool noodles to the right length you won't see them. I keep mine tall enough to keep the boots up but you can't see the pool noodles sticking out of the top but if they do peak out at the top my only suggestion is to keep all the pool noodles the same color just for uniform appearance. But great job your closet is amazing I wish someday I can have the space to make mine look that great.

    • @jennifershowers7927
      @jennifershowers7927 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Have you figured a way to place hangers that hold the boots? I found pool noodles with a cutting tool for the noodle at my dollar store.

    • @kellyanneriden3657
      @kellyanneriden3657 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jennifershowers7927 so if you have the wire metal hangers you can fold them both wings down and it should fit inside the top of the boot with the hanger hooks sticking out of the top but I don't think it would hang you might need one of those hangers that have the clips on either end if you want to hang them up with a hanger.

    • @TravelPhotoWriter
      @TravelPhotoWriter ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I also use pool noodles. I simply cut them with a serrated kitchen knife.

    I do not store my "out of season" clothing away, because I have two walk in closets. So one closet is for Spring/Summer and the other is Fall/Winter. When I had less space and was forced to store clothes, I really disliked pulling out and switching over based on the season. I also ended up buying duplicates because I couldn't see what I had. I much prefer to not store clothing. My things are much more organized now also. Even though I have the space, I still clear out items twice a year.

    So glad to see Anna back on TH-cam. Great closet tour, and tips for organizing though my closet is certainly a lot smaller. I consider a lot of Anna's content aspirational, in that yes my closet is small now, but I can use some of her advice and apply it to my current space, and then as I move forward in life (always elevating) then maybe I'll have a nice big closet too. 🥰

    I wrote the type of garment with a Sharpie on those cedar block hanger things. You can take your favorite scented soaps, that match your perfume well, and put them in organza baggies and use as sachets in drawers and closets. Essential oils dabbed on wool dryer balls help custom scent your clothes.😊😊😊

I was skeptical about the shoulders being indented but that doesn't happen! I keep an Excel file for what i own, what type it is, what color, etc... AND how often I wear it! Serendipity. I am planning to buy a Pax system from IKEA in the next couple of months to cover an entire bedroom wall. Great tips here. Put the wardrobes over fitted carpet - check. Higher shelves in glass - check. Lighting - check. And the little plug things for the holes. Many thanks Anna. (Pretty dress BTW).

    Another reason to not stuff your hangers is for accessibility. When you pull off one item in a cramped wardrobe, other clothes get pulled as well, then you have to shove them back...it creates chaos and stress, and is time consuming. We're trying to make our lives easier. Easy, accessible fluid motions are what I try to go for. Thank you Anna, for all these amazing tips and all your videos.💗

    For me, it feels uncomfortable to mix clothes that were already worn with the fresh and clean ones. I mean, obviously some of the items you put into the laundry right after a single wear, but what about coats, jackets, pure wool?? I store them separately as „contaminated”, but it gets unorganised very quickly. Any ideas?

      You can brush your coats to remove any dust or soot if you live in a city. Since you don't wear coats over a naked body, no worries about sweat or stink. You only wash clothes that directly touch your body.

Some of your subscribers are actually Muslim Women so they have to wear a hijab as well so sometimes i love your ideas but I don't know how to wear the dresses u suggest, For Example if u suggest wearing a maxi and some of your legs are still showing from it. I don't know what to wear underneath it. When u give outfit ideas can u please also give ideas for women who have to cover everything, their legs, hair arms etc. It will make things so much easier for me. I detest carpet, but a big rug would be great. I feel carpet attracts dust mites and not good for your clothing.

    I replaced the "yellow" lights in my walk in to white lights. What a difference!

    So beautiful and practical. I love the transparent shelves and storage boxes. Also the way you store your knitwear, excellent idea. Can’t wait for the next video 😊💗

    I have a lot of cashmere items also rolled up like your sweaters ❤ BUT lint is pain in the ass, pieces of fluff and dust stuck on them make me go crazy and I always notice them right before I need to leave the house….I have different types of lint removers, sticky rolls and brushes 😂 it’s especially irritating when the lint stuck on my Max Mara cashmere coat and I notice it only outside, when I’m on a vacation and the light is poor indoors…😂

    What a dream video. I love it. It's like hanging with one of my girlfriends 😊
    I don't have much stuff. Really trying to buy less, own less and shop my own wardrobe.
    But I think even if you have little space, just having a little jewellery box, extra space dividers, a simple sensor light from amazon and just colour coordinating your wardrobe makes it feel more special even if you're on a limited budget/space.
    Anna, you're always a major inspiration to be better and do better 💕

    This was great! So many helpful tips. Rolling knit wear-I hadn’t thought of that.
